So I met this wonderful lady online and went out with her 4 times for the past 2 months. She's definitely my type, she's pretty, smart, a career woman, sporty, independent and knows what she wants in life. Kumbaga, based on my standards, pasok lahat sa hinahanap ko sa isang babae.

She told me after the second date na she's thinking if she'll say yes on the third one since her objective in joining a dating site is to just meet people - she's busy with work and some personal stuff she does too. I persuaded her to say yes and reminded her that we are a 98% match in OKCupid. The 3rd and 4th date went well but when I asked her if she's free next week to meet up with me, she declined since she doesn't want any expectations.

She then told me that we can meet after a few months and talk about what happened after November 9th (yep, she declined on November 9th). I really like her and wanted to see her but I don't want to be a distraction since my 3-year goal siyang sinabi sa aken na gusto muna niya ma-achieve.

So yeah, here I am back to square one. I am willing to wait for her, though I am quite uncertain if she has room for a partner in her life with what she is doing now. I really, really like her, but yeah, you can't have everything you want/like.

And that is my recent semi-love story. :)

Please feel free to share your stories too!

P.S. I am still hoping that both of us can meet up after several months.  :)

Bro, i got intrigued with your post.  I would hope you are my guy who got away para masabi ko sayo ito.  Even though you posted this several months ago, I hope you still like the girl to this very day and I hope that you will have a different ending from mine.  From the way you describe the girl, she is like me. That is how my friends describe me. So maybe whatever I tell you, is the same thing the girl would secretly like to tell you.  Since I was young, I already made a checklist of my goals in life.  Therefore, love life always take a back seat. I remember when I was very new to the workforce, I attended a training and the instructor asked us where do we see ourselves 10 years from now?  I wrote a lot about I might have done this and that.  Then when I presented my goals to our group, someone asked where is family and kids? i just stared at them and looked at their list. everyone have written that probably they already have a family of their own by then.

At different stages in my life, I met great guys but ended up with no one.  I would often hear them tell my friends, na-insecure sila because I know what i want in life and how to achieve them. some says hindi nila alam san sila lulugar sa buhay ko. People often view me as independent kaya its easy for them to say I don't need someone in my life. kaya ko naman daw kasi maging mag-isa.  Well, totoo naman yun. Pero I became independent because I wouldn't just sit there and wait for someone to come and give meaning to my life.  I admire you for saying that you are willing to wait for her. Yun yung hindi ko narinig from them. I can say na hindi nag materialize yung relationship kasi I have fears that once I'm committed to someone, I will be disoriented and I won't be able to achieve my goals in life.  Ganon din siguro yung girl.  I'm sure she likes you but she is afraid. Now, if you can show her or assure her that you will be supportive of her reaching her goals, I'm sure mapapaisip siya.  sometimes yung assurance lang naman ang kailangan.

Lately it happened to me again.  Another love lost.  How I wish I could tell him what I told you. Sadly, he had not been patient enough. I didn't hear him saying the reassuring words.  Instead, he looked for a new love.  Did I regret it?  Partly yes.  I questioned myself kung bakit ba ako ganito. why am I so eager to reach my goals to the extent that I have to let him go.  I liked him a lot but I guess we are not meant for each other.  I guess I would just continue pursuing my dreams. Maybe one day, someone would come and there will be no more hesitations.

I'll go with 'recent kilig story' para light lang. Medyo mababaw, guys. :)

I was at a party with a female friend and it was around 4AM. We had a long night so we were just sitting there finishing our drinks. This Aussie guy started chatting me up, and because I didn't want to be rude, I just let him talk. And talk he did. My friend was also talking to some Chinese-South Asian dude, so okay lang.

After a while, my friend said she wanted to leave na. So we went out and my friend said we should wait daw for someone. Aussie guy caught up with us and started talking again. He was quite the chatter and I was trying to cut him off when suddenly, the Chinese-South Asian dude my friend was speaking to jumped in, grabbed my wrist, and told the Aussie, "Excuse us, I need to talk to my sister" before pulling me away.

When we were out of earshot, I was like, "What was that?" And he said he was watching me and I looked super bored and he wanted to save me. I thought it was cute. Found out later on from my friend na kaya sya kinausap was to ask her to take me outside so he could introduce himself. Sabi ni friend, cute naman daw kaya sumunod sya.

I haven't blushed that deeply in a long while. Good Friday 2015, hello.
