Why? Care to elaborate? Is it worth your lifetime to hate them this much? When you hate, you punish yourself, not them.

You super hate them right now? What happened?

No, it's not wrong to hate your parents. Just let the negative feelings flow, write it down, or talk to a friend.

Masama lang siguro kung itatanim mo sa sarili mo yung galit, and it will grow and will overcome you. Ikaw rin mahihirapan.

Acknowledge the anger, feel it, process it, and in time, it will go.

Hate is a very strong emotion. And you said it yourself.. you hate them so much right now... so, hopefully that eventually goes away. I'd say that it really depends on why you hate them for starters... once that's at least clarified then there is better basis to answer your main question.

Nope it is not wrong to hate your parents "Temporarily". well because we do have feelings right? have someone to talk to, release all the hatred, don't let that emotion ruin your relationship with them.
Believe in me, what you're feeling now is just temporary. been there done that

Oh, we at 1 time or more hate the people we love &/or live us. Normal for  all imperfect people. But tell me, who is perfect anyway?

BUT it is best for your mental, emo & physical health to ball up that hatred then throw it far or drown it deep.  It doesn't pay to wallow in hatred, nor nurture it to grow bigger.  Hatred can push you into cloudy, even, self-defeating decisions.  So, deal with it as you think best:  confront & put it on the table for discussion, swallow it, ignore it, forget it, or pray it departs.

Parents will always have your best interests at heart.  Well, almost all do.

It is bad to hate but then parents are human too and maybe they have done something wrong to make you feel that way.

You're not alone though

i have no problem with my dad but with my departed mom when she was alive somehow missed her cues that me and my siblings were looking for encouragement and attention that would build our self-esteem and confidence. but i understood where mom was coming from because my mom's family was quite dysfuntional. there are no perfect parents. some even looked to us for exactly the same things we were looking for from them. alam mo yon. our parents may have seen us sometimes as extensions of themselves existing primarily to carry out their ambitions, repair their mistakes or make up for their dissapointments. many of our parents had low self-esteem themselves and sometimes they passsed it on to us, their kids. naiiyak ako  :'(

I think not, depende sa situation like yung sa MMK na nirerape sya ng tatay nya, hindi nakapagtataka na kahit mamamatay na yung tatay pag ganun eh walang pagpapatawad na mangyayari.

It's not wrong. It's normal. Doesn't matter kung parents mo or kahit kapitbahay mo lang. Being human is being able to love and hate as well.

Kahit ako right now naiirita sa mom ko.

At least may natutunan ka :) don't let your hate consume you. I can't say stop hating them. Use that energy to better yourself. Good luck

Our parents have shortcomings too and sometimes when we fight with them we feel hate.

But then again di ko naman ang pinagdaanan mo who am I to say what you should feel diba?

Basta whatever you are going through I hope ay maayos pa sana someday maging okay kayo ng parents mo.

It's normal to feel bad towards our parents or love ones especially when we don't agree on things and what not.  I'm sure you know it's not right, otherwise you won't be using a new account right?

Pray that the negative feelings will just go away.

Husband or Mother??
« Reply #12 on: February 19, 2015, 01:31:06 pm »
Hindi ako makapag post ng new topic kaya dito nalang. Sorry for long post. Me and my husband lived in Philippines for 1 yr after our marriage. Masaya kaming dalawa, sobra. No major fights, no major adjustments, etc. After a year, we decided na bumalik sa abroad na pinanggalingan ko (where my parents and siblings are).

At madami pang negative comments.

Just last night, while I'm sleeping because I'm sick, my mom entered our room. wala pa si hubby nun, nasa work pa. Gusto daw niya ko kausapin ng masinsinan.. Ang bungad nya sakin "May relasyon ang asawa mo at yung staff naming lalake.". I was really shocked. In 3 years namin together, wala talaga. Kesyo ganun daw tlaga pag inlove, nabubulag. It's so hard..

TS, you sound young.  When you have your own family and you have a baby, you will learn to appreciate your parents when they care for you while others cannot.  That's all I can say for now.

Not really hate, but... Malapit na.
Pissed with my mom. We never really get each other. Ang lagi niyang binibida sila ate and kuya.

NEVER!! Asa ka! Lahat ng mali sinabi mo sa ibang tao about us, now you expect us to be proud of you? COME ON!!!

Living in "hatred" will bring you nowhere. Parents are not perfect and so are we. cliche as it may sound but it's true.

So maraming kang iniiyak or ikinagagalit. You feel all those hatred? ang sakit sa pakiramdam diba? So talo ka rin kasi nasasaktan ka.

Learn to forgive even if they are not sorry. Life is easier when you learn to accept the sorry you never got.

My plan now is bubukod nalang kami.
