depends sa height sis. meron guide sa mrt station.
for my nephew, medyo lagpas na siya konti dun sa max height so gumamit kami ezlink for him, tuwang tuwa naman ang bata everytime mag tatap siya lol.
On their last day here, the bus driver told us that the kid no need to pay na daw.
I am not sure though if iba rules sa bus and train. my nephew is 4 years old.

I need your opinions, please!

My husband and I will have our Post 2nd Wedding Anniv on Feb 2016 in SG. This is our first time to travel together outside the country. I've contacted this Travel Agency and quoted us All-In 50k for a 3D2N Weekday Getaway in a 4-star Hotel. Itineraries include: Sentosa Sunset Tour (1st day), USS (2nd day), City Tour (3rd day).

Reasonable ba ang 50k for all these? Sorry if this is a noob question. We will ask for a re-quote pa naman for a lower star hotel kasi okay naman kami sa cheaper basta maayos na matutulugan kaya baka mabawasan pa ang price.

Check airfare, hotel rates then compare sis.
Regular plane tickets will range from 5000 to 10000 per pax rountrip (budget airlines and as long as hinde holiday matatapat yung dates nyo)
Hotels start from 5k,  may mas lower pa dyan but most are in Red district area but since Anniv nyo naman you can spend a little more naman.

2. have you tried to plan your trip DIY? hindi sis. wala sa choice ang DIY kasi we are both busy and gusto lang din talaga namin maituloy this trip next year before kami magplan mag baby.
3. We are planning this on a weekday and on a non-holiday dates.
4. Sunset Tour includes Jewel Cable Car, Underwater World + Pink Dolphins, Madame Tussuads + Image of Singapore Live + Buffet Dinner and Drink + Wings of Time Show
5. City Tour includes: Padang Esplanade, Merlion Park, Little India, Chinatown, Gem Factory, 1-Altitude at One Raffles Place.

^ang problem with tours, walang flexibility. If you want to stay longer in a particular place, you can't do it. Dependent kayo sa pacing ng tours. And yung isa ninyong itinerary, yan yung bibentahan kayo ng alahas. Personally, it doesn't take a lot of time come up with an itinerary.

Honestly with DIYs, takot kami ni Hubby na maubos ang oras paghahanap with the places or locations na gusto namin puntahan kaya we decided to ask for TA's help instead. But deep inside, gusto ko rin sana ng DIY because I know mas makakatipid kami and the joy of having our own time by ourselves.

We're spending post-Christmas and New Year at Singapore/KL. Leaving on the 28th and coming back on the 2nd. My husband and I are traveling with our 3 kids (8yo, 5yo and 3yo).  Comments and suggestions please on our itinerary. We're trying not to make it too hectic kasi puro bata kasama. Learned our lesson from our HK trip last year.


December 28
–   arrival at 930 am. Check in into Airbnb hotel. Let the kids rest. (our departure in MNL is 630am so the kids will be up as early as 2am)
–   Go to Lucky Plaza to get tickets from Cebu Air Travel and Tours (or are there any places where we can get tickets at a cheaper price?)
–   Late afternoon: River Explore Cruise + Marina Sky Park + Gardens by the Bay (flower dome, cloud forest, super tree)  - based on the FB page of Cebu Air, this is a bundled promotion (or is this too tiring? we dont want the kids to get too tired cause we'll do USS the following day?)

-   Whole day USS ( can you suggest any activities that we can squeeze in after USS?)

December 30
-   AM: Singapore Flyer (can we squeeze in Merlion Park / Raffles / Esplanade?)
-   PM: Night Safari

December 31
-   AM: Late morning stroll at Orchard Road (my 8yo daughter’s agenda is the Smiggle store)
-   PM: Sentosa (any idea on what we can do that my kids will enjoy? Again, not too tiring activities cause we have Legoland the ff day)

^hayaan ko ang mga expert sa sg na sumagot sa ibang tanong mo hunny ally, yun sa smiggle na lang sa akin dahil yaan rin naging target ng anak ko. Marami kayo makikita na smiggle stores lalo na if mag-train kayo. May ibang train stations na paglabas mo may smiggle agad.

Based on my experience, sis, kung may personal driver yan at kayo lang talaga kasama, the driver will still set a time when he will pick you up. Ganun samin before. In this case, if you feel like you'll be in a certain place longer (especially sa city tour), you can ask to skip some places, or, kung sobrang feel niyo pa mag-stay, taxi na lang, yun nga lang sayang naman personal driver niyo. Hehe.

I will be going to SG this Feb with my mom and sister. We availed a package from a travel agency, flexible naman kasi yung sched and affordable.

I did some research and now i have some concerns...i find the inputs here more reliable so plss yung mga SG experts dyan pahelp naman po.

1. The hotel we got is fragrance hotel- pearl. I learned that it was in geylang, known as a red light district. Question is..is the place THAT bad? I mean we are all female so baka incomfy masyado yung environment saka malayo ata ito sa mga good places? I will call the agency and try to ask them if they can book us in a different hotel. Pero i want a list of good hotels para kung pumayag man sila edi may maissuggest na ako.

2. Lahat po kasi kami ay mangmang sa transportation kahit dito sa pinas hindi kami madalas magpublic transpo. Nakapag commute naman na kami sa HK trip namin before but its always with my older brother. Mahirap at mahal po ba? At super mahal ba ng taxi?

3. May free day naman po kami sa trip. (Inclusive na [textspeak!] Universal at city tour).saan at ano po pa ba magandang gawin sa SG? Hindi kasi kami magssama ng bata at focus namin mag enjoy mother ko na super moody at impulsive after my dad died 2 years ago.

4. Saan po magandang mag shopping ng murang pasalubong? Nag backread ako.. bugis area? Ang bagal kasi ng net ngayon at nasa bahay lahat ng tao hehe.

5. Mura ba sa SG ang mga bala ng playstation and gaming gadgets? Or khit anong place na andun na karamihan ng items na wala or mas mura kesa sa pinas.

6. May haze pa ba? Nanay ko kasi ang kulit hahah

7. Saan ba maganda at mura na mga hawker types na kainan? Yun ang kaligayahan namin ng ate ko..hehe

1.  Geylang isn't that bad.  Even if it is a redlight district, it is still peaceful and crime free.  Having said that, my only problem with geylang is that it is far from MRT (not walkable).  You have to ride the bus going to MRT.  Whereas if you stay in either chinatown or bugis, you're already within the city where everything is within reach by bus for few minutes or MRT which is just normally just around the corner.

2.  If its within the city, normal costs is $10 or less but coming from geylang, expect it a bit higher as it has to pass though the highway where you need to pay toll.

3.  Depends on the type of activity you want.  You can roam around Ikea or do the scenic henderson wave or hit anchorpoint / changi expo for bargains.

4.  Good bargains are in anchorpoint (cheapest cotton on, charles and keith), Queensway shopping center has the cheapest sports wear.  Changi expo has exhibits that are very cheap and "bagsakan".  visit the events section of their website.

5.  You can try to check Funan lifestyle mall for gadgets.  Avoid Sim lim and Lucky plaza for gadgets as there are lots of scammers in that area.  Just avoid sim lim and lucky plaza.

6.  June and July lang ang haze when its extreme summer where there are forest fires in Malaysia and Indonesia.  At this time of the day, rainy season and malamig so there's no more haze.  Next one will be summer next year.

7.  Singapore prides itself with cheap hawkers.  Any hawkers are cheaper than restaurants, just not hawkers within Orchard road where tourists flock the area.  Any nearest hawkers will do as its not convenient to be stating a specific hawker as you have limited time.

Sana pumayag yung agency na mapalitan hotel namin. But glad to know that geylang isnt that bad para kung hindi man kami maka book sa ibang area e okay padin kahit papaano.

Btw.. may mga cheap wifi packages po ba sila?

^I haven't stayed in hotels except marina bay sands only during special occassions as I lived in SG for 3 years if you meant hotel wifi.

We loved it there! The only thing we didn't like is the walking. We were told that it's inevitable but we didn't expect that it was like 'that'. My husband wants to go back but i said that we will when our youngest is a bit older, maybe 3 years from now pwede na.
