ayun settled na talaga kami sa BIG Hotel near Bugis MRT. masulit nawa namin ang trip this month sa SG. =)

^^mga 430pm sis almost tolerable na ang init. Ang 4pm nila kasi parang 2pm sa atin katindi ng init.

^Thanks cindylulu! Ang hirap magplan ng itinerary with 3 kids. Hahaha! So dapat pala early morning walks, then indoor attractions, then late afternoon pasyal ulit. :-)

After reading yet more sites, now I'm wondering parang mas maganda yata to go there during CNY! Has anyone been to the Chingay parade? Puwede ko kaya isama ang 1yo ko if we're buying seats sa grandstand? Or will this season be way to crazy for me to go with 3 kids? Hahaha!

I hope some people can comment on my itinerary. I'm planning a 7-day trip for my family this March. We'll be with 3 kids ages 9, 5 and 1. So I need to consider that we can't do an amazing race type of tour. Hahaha!

Lunch at the mall and shop while it's hot outside
Esplanade, Merlion, Helix when it's cool enough to walk

i'm also a repeat traveler to SG so i'm no longer interested in the usual. so far, these are some of what I've noted based on my Googling:

- Haw Par Villa
- Prawning! (you'll "fish" for prawns, grill it, and eat it. sounds fun!); options are Hai Bin Prawning or Big Splash
- Escape room challenge (kaso kung solo lang ako, di ko to magagawa kasi minimum of 5pax ito and usually barkada ang pumupunta dito); options are Xcape, Lockdown, Exit Plan, and The Escape Artist
- Macritchie (pero hassle daw puntahan eh); tree-top walking, fishing, nature stuff
- Pasar Bella Farmer's Market
- Southern Ridges walking trail (inc Mt. Faber)

^your itinerary is ok sis. for day 1, since you're in the area near mbs, you may want to see the lights and sound show of mbs in the evening and you may want to try to have dinner at din tai fung at mbs. usually the lines are long but if you can't get through, there's the mbs food court where there are choices for inexpensive hainanese chicken rice or chilli crabs.

i will be a solo traveler next year (March 2015), i would like to ask your suggestion regarding hostels..

i'm torn between Five Stones Hostel or Beary Best Hostel.. no issue sa akin na mag-share ng room with other travelers..

^^ Thanks for the DTF suggestion. I almost forgot about that :-) I put MBS sa Day 2 para may activity for that night. Also may Charlie Brown Cafe pala in SG! I'm so excited to surprise the kids. That was their all time fave kasi sa HK :-)

Just got quotes via email from YMCA One Orchard and Holiday Inn Atrium. Surprisingly, same cost sila at around 250sgd per night. 2 adults and 3 kids kami staying 6 nights. Please help me decide which is better.

Holiday Inn Atrium
- Superior room
- 1 double bed, 1 single
- kids eat free when dining with parents 
- far from mrt
- close to bus 

YMCA 
- Family deluxe with extra bed
- 1 double bed & 2 singles 
- free breakfast 
- close to mrt

Parang location wise winner and YMCA. But for the same price, we can stay in a hotel with better facilities. I need your thoughts please :-)

^ although ymca's address is at orchard, it's quite far from the main hub of orchard kasi it's at the farthest end near national museum na - likod ng fort canning. though it doesn't matter naman kasi the nearest mrt naman is bras basah station. pwede kayo mag train-hop from one tourist spot to another. with holiday inn atrium naman, nasa residential ito halos and there's no mrt in the area. and this is so far from the tourist spots too. mapipilitan talaga kayo mag taxi or mag bus. sayang din ang oras.

^ Thanks for all your input! 1 more question sana :-) Given that we are 2adults, 2 kids and 1 baby, in terms of cost, should we be taking the cab or mrt to go around? Sabi kasi pag madami daw baka cheaper to take a cab. Although we’re definitely taking the cab to Singapore Zoo kasi I read na its  faster and more convenient. Pero yung around the city lang kaya?

^^just take a cab. Mag-eeven out din ang cost niyan, more convenient pa. Kami 4 adults when we went to SG, cab lang kami parati.

^ Oo nga eh. I’ve been checking gothere.sg and the cost is almost the same pag around the city. And some places eh ang dami palang transfer. Mrt, then bus, then lakad. Okay lang sana if just me and hubby :-)

mga sis how much ba ticket to Singapore? may mapag stay-an naman don for 5 days kaya ticket lang. thanks

^Depende. Kapag piso fare, around 5k. Yung PAL ko na 1 month before ko na-book, mga 14k. SQ, I think goes as high as 20k.

i purchased mine at 16k (for 2). separate bookings yung papunta and pabalik. that was end of September via Cebu Pacific and our flight is next week na.

so happy, our hotel emailed me today to let me know na upgraded daw room namin from superior to deluxe.

mga sis, pahelp naman with our 1 day trip to MBS. pano ba yung route na hindi kami pabalik balik. Bugis area yung hotel namin so which one dapat namin unahin. eto kasi nasa isip ko for now.
