Does anyone have any reviews about Holiday Inn Atrium? I'm considering it for a few reasons:
1. Kids stay and eat free. So I can book their deluxe room with 2 beds which comes out around 220sgd lang per night. We're traveling with my 3 kids kasi, ages 9, 5 and 1.
2. We're probably taking the cab more than the train anyway kasi I checked gothere.sg and parang almost the same rate lang ang kalalabasan since 4 kaming may bayad. Except for far destinations like Jurong Bird Park and Singapore Zoo. Is this right?
3. Maganda daw ang view since it's near the river and the rooms are bigger than my other options like V hotel, YMCA and Strand.

ok now i'm torn whether to push wit V Hotel Lavender or cancel my booking and get V Hotel Bencoolen instead.

kaya bang maikot to ng half day. Orchard Road, Chinatown then Little India?

plan ko kasi sa gabi dun naman sa Marina Bay, Merlion and mga kalapit na lugar.

^kung hindi ka naman talaga magshopping ng bongga sa orchard kaya sis, sobrang dami kasi ng mall don, as in tabi2x sila

@prettybarbie, if you plan to stay in clarke quay area, hotels within the are novotel and somerset liang court. we stayed in novotel last march. since we're accor members, we had our room at discounted rates and 1 night was free of charge. the mrt station of clarke quay is beside the bridge (where the gx 5 extreme swing is) fronting hill street. it's a 5 minute walk to and from the hotel and you will pass by bars and restos where expats hang out after work.   

@babythug28, don't stay at lavender, medyo malayo and residential halos. stay at bencoolen. it's at little india and it's nearer bugis street (where the souvenirs are) and bugis junction mall (where my fave le bunny bleu store is), and sim lim square (for gadgets). also, little india is nearer funan IT mall (for gadgets), city hall, clarke quay and chinatown.

thanks mga sis sa recommendations. not much naman kami sa shopping pero narealize ko parang ang boring ata nung area within lavender? para mamaximize kasi sana namin yung paglabas kahit sa gabi.

also, worth it ba magpunta sa Arab street (food trip lang kami, not eyeing for fabric shopping) and kung meron din bang mga spices dun pati mga hummus kahit in can lang. TIA

^arab street is still part of little india and tatawid ka lang from bugis junction but personally i dont want to go there coz i cant stand the smell of body odor and some spices hehe. yun lang sis ang gaganda ng mga exterior ng mga shops kasi colorful just like in chinatown. btw, there's another budget but classy hotel in bencoolen - ibis bencoolen. you may google it too.

^ sige sis will try to check yung rates nila sa agoda. my hubby kasi eh may lahing middle eastern and this would be his first time to check out yung mga places na ganyan. like mosques, yung mga pagkain, etc.  nawa eh matolerate namin yung smell hahaha! salamat sis. buti na lang free cancellation yung nakuha ko for v hotel lavender. akala ko kasi accessible since mukhang ok tignan nung chineck ko sa gothere.sg site eh.

^i've stayed at Ibis Bencoolen! Reviews would tell you it's one of the best budget hotels and it's really true. Great location, too! Tama ka sa pag-maximize ng  labas sa gabi - kaya ok mag-stay sa Bugis area. Sarap ng oyster omelette sa hawker center sa may Bugis, hehe.

ay sayang walang Pay Later option yung Ibis Bencoolen hehe. kelangan kasi ma-bill sha after ng cut off namin this month. i'll check the 3 other options though. salamat na din sa suggestion mo sis at talagang hahanapin ko yang hawker center sa Bugis area sa 28 na alis namin eh

^specifically it's Albert Centre hawker center. Masarap din ang prawn noodles dun, cant remember the stall #, pero pag peak hour, mapapansin mo naman kung aling stall yung pinakamahaba ang pila. Basta ang rule of thumb lang naman, follow where the locals queue up, hehe.

^ noted sis. will keep that in mind. salamat ang itinerary pa lang na naiisip ko ngaun is this:

Day 1: Chinatown-Little India-hotel rest for a while then Arab street at night
Day 2: Universal Studios (almost whole day na ata to), Sentosa (kung aabutin) then Bugis at night (kung within this area makuha naming hotel)
Day 3: Marina Bay, Helix Bridge, Merlion, and Orchard at night
Day 4: havent thought much about this yet since check out na kami. then head to airport ng gabi for our midnight flight.

What's the best time for a city tour and river cruise na hindi super init for kids?

Also, what's better now skylark and flyer,  day or night view?

Sisses, i'm going back to SG next year and i'm not planning to visit the usual tourist spots. Any interesting off-the-wall places you could recommend? I suppose the sisses based in SG have inside info you can share? Thanks!

^actually pag galing ka na ng SG hindi mo nga magugustuhan malaysia hehe hindi maiwasang i-compare eh. kahit yong bintan, indonesia hindi ko rin bet. kung pabalik-balik ka na rin kasi ng SG, more on foodtrip & shopping na lang

Has anyone stayed sa Beary Best Hostel?

The price is P2,800 for 2 Bed Private Dorm (Shared Bathroom). Mukhang okay naman siya based sa reviews and what I liked about this hostel is the location and free simple breakfast (cereals, toast, coffee, etc.)

I'm still looking for other alternatives though, baka kasi hindi magustuhan ni hubby sa hostel. Haha! Pero gusto kasi namin yung makatipid talaga.

What time sa afternoon yung okay na for kids to walk around na hindi na suuuuper init?  For the city tour sana and botanic garden. Thanks to anyone who can help.
