I was working for 7 years plus for Company A and was re-trenched around 2013 due to financial lose daw eh sila itong nagpa tapon sa akin sa ibang lugar and sila rin nag increase ng salary ko.

Collage Degree + Masteral Degree holder ako. Been looking for job opportunities again. And Company B called me for Interview ganyan. Second Interview when they asked me my previous salary I told them that I was receiving almost 35k from Company A. And I asked pa nga how much is the salary range of the position they told me 15-20k daw. So right there and then alam ko wala na.

Then after a week they called me again interview with the VP na. So I thought na okay na kasi they know naman eh. Then during my interview, eh naging tawaran portion ang situation. I was asked how low can I go, with no time to think I just blurted out 27k.

Yesterday I received another call again, pinapapunta ako within that same day, interview with HRD na and one more na lang. Again I thought clear na kasi they already asked me na last time.

To my disappointment again naging tawaran portion, same line that the position is fod blah blah blah Giving me statements like, konti lang ang pumapasa ke MR... sa interview with time pressure I just said 23k. They will call me na lang daw kasi wala ang isa pang tao mag interview sa akin.

Supervisory / Management position from company A (salary plus 1k allowance monthly before)
Sales position for Company B (Salary lang daw mukhang malabo pa ang commissions)

These are now my questions in my mind:

1. Dapat ba nag stick ako sa 27k as previously stated?
2. In case na they will call again for final interview and tawaran portion pa rin can I withdraw na lang
3. Should I take it ?
4. Should I text them tomorrow and withdraw my application, malaki na gastos ko sa pamasahe plus time wasted waiting for the interviews.
5. Look for another job opportunity

Sis pag pumayag ka ikaw mismo nagbabarat sa sarili mo. You have years of experience na pala, makakahanap ka niyan ng company who can offer you a higher salary. Kung ako yan I'll inform them na that my asking is this fixed amount and can't accept any amount lower than that. Pang-entry level yung offer nila ha.

may mga companies talaga na hangga't lulusot eh ipipilit nila kahit alam nila ang range ng salary for that position. simula pa lang mahirap na sila kausap sis. they asked your previous salary already and how much lower can you accept. tapos pababa ng pababa habang nag-pprogress yung interview. sa panahon ngayon kahit mahirap pasukin ang isang posisyon at kahit gano kaganda pakinggan ang title, it's the salary that matters. pray that you'll find another opportunity, sis. these companies are taking advantage of peoples' need for a job and as long as applicants tolerate them, they will continue to abuse educated and experienced individuals. just my two cents

Thank you all. Grabe nga parang pati ako na depress tiuloy kagabi. They texted na and wish me luck since they have decided not to include me na lang daw.Whew at least makapag concentrate na ulit ako sa pag apply. I've learned my lesson sa kanila kaya thabkful talaga ako

Don't go for a low offer than what you're actually worth. Dapat based sa experience mo at capacity to perform. If you do, you'll regret it later on.

These are now my questions in my mind:

1. Dapat ba nag stick ako sa 27k as previously stated? - Hi Sis, if you're receiving 35K in your current company, I dont think that you should go for less. given your tenure in your current company, you should get more.

2. In case na they will call again for final interview and tawaran portion pa rin can I withdraw na lang
3. Should I take it ? - I believe that there are other opportunities out there na mas okay, don't settle for anything less than you know you're worthy and you deserve

4. Should I text them tomorrow and withdraw my application, malaki na gastos ko sa pamasahe plus time wasted waiting for the interviews. - let them contact you and let them know that you're no longer interested, no need to tell the reason why but if they asked you, its because you wont agree to their offer

5. Look for another job opportunity - sounds like the best plan

Sis, same nature ba ito ng previous work mo?

Consider the things you can get if you accept the offer.
1. coverage ng HMO
2. incentives/bonus
3. appraisal scheme - 6 months or annual
4. 13th month, 14th month pay?
5. travel time
6. research about the company; feasibility for future promotion

things to ponder on, other than these, all I can say is put up a Linked In profile. Beef up your network and opportunities will come.

My take here is it depends on how urgent you need the job.  A company has their own budget cap for each position. Your last job was 2013 and kung kaya  naman ng pisi mo na makahanap ng kaparehong salary , then don't accept it. One of the reasons din of course why they haggle with you is unemployed ka and they think that you badly need the job.

There's nothing wrong getting a little lower salary than the previous one . Once you are again employed, your market value will then increase . Pero wag mo naman layasan agad yung company once na employ ka.
