Mejo malayo yung travel to the Great Wall, from Forbidden Palace, mga 2-3hours away. You can a bus or hire a private care.

And maraming cheap places to go for shopping. But for this time, it will be mostly winter clothing. Kasi people are getting ready for the next season. I know a few places, but accessible by subway. I can give you directions and also their names in english, and chinese.

Will be travelling to Shanghai on Sat-Tue but will be in meetings on Sun and Mon. Any nearby place outside Shanghai that I can possibly go to for sightseeing? Beijing would have been nice if I had the time. I only have Saturday noon onwards for personal tour/time. Thanks.

^for affordable clothes and leather shoes made in china marami sa Guangzhou Railway Station, tabi tabi building mga doon parang sa divisoria pero ok naman clothes and leather shoes nila. mga muslim ng mindanao bultuhan bumili kasabay ko sa plane then ibebenta nila sa lugar nila. Sila nagturo sa akin saan makabili ng shoes and clothes na mura at maganda. if you want branded items nasa malls ng tianhe area.

Is it easy to DIY tour around Beijing? Are the subways and buses tourist friendly like in Seoul? Thanks.

Madali lang naman sis DIY sa Beijing sa experience namin ni hubby. Wag lang mag bus ng peak hours at OA talaga ang siksikan parang bus papunta Cavite lang sa rush hour ang peg.  Sa sobra sikip sa bus napilitan kame bumaba ni hubby sa kung saan man dahil may nag away sa loob eh puro Chinese sila so kame dalawa lang ang mukha ewan dun na wala naiintindihan sa ganap nila. Imbes na maipit kame ng husto bumaba na lang kame. Luckily madali lang mag ikot sa Beijing kaya nakakita rin kame ng way makapunta sa destination namen.  Kailangan mo lang talaga mag research ng husto kase nung kame wala kame na encounter na pinoy or anyone na marunong mag English except dun sa hotel receptionist. Pero once you know your way na madali na lang.

^^easy lang to DIY Beijing. We take their subway/rapid transit most of the time. So easy to use and navigate. Cheap pa! I have a few entries in my blog on our DIY trips there in case you want references.

Thank you for the replies. Mag book sana ako ng Beijing sa sale ng Cebupac pero pinigilan ko muna yung sarili ko kase in the past book muna ako ng book tsaka ko lang i-reresearch.

Yung mga post kase dito sa thread mostly nag hire sila ng tour guide or driver so akala ko mahirap mag DIY.

@mama squeak I read your blog so mukhang sa Great Wall lang yung most likely mahihirapan ako at would need to book a tour or driver pala. The rest accessible na via subway.

What months or season is the best kaya to visit Beijing? Yun less ang pollution. Isa rin kase sa mga concerns ko yan.

Kame sis nag Great Wall pero nag bus lang kame.  Nag search lang si hubby kung pano and tanong tanong din sa mga taga hotel saka sa mga kagaya namen visitors mga westerners na nag bus. Ayun naka survive naman without getting a tour or a driver.

^^you can use public transpo going to the Great Wall (subway + bus) depending on your hotel's location. We opted for a hired taxi since we only had a short visit during hubby's layover. Didn't want the hassle of figuring out how to get there and wasting precious time.

Personally I would visit during the cool months para di tagaktak pawis mo habang namamasyal. Early spring and late autumn/early winter. Just make sure to avoid any of their major holidays like their Golden Week in October kasi super daming tao sa mga tourist attractions. Oh and yung smog season nila usually starts mid-October to November kaya check ka lang sa past and future forecasts.

Hello,  i am here in china for more than 3 years nah.  I can speak na rin the chinese language. Been to beijing, shanghia,zhiejiang becuase of work.  If you want to come here to work, make sure, papasok kayo dito with Z visa, nothing else... Z visa means wokring visa.  If you want to travel, L visa ang kunin,.. Basta super strict ang chinese immigration.. You can roam anywhere, anytime here sa china without fearing na ma hold up or ma rape... Yun lang po

Booked our next destination! Beijing! This is 4 days 3 nights (technically 4 nights talaga)

This will be their Mid Autumn Season. Mid September. I hope everything will be fine. Few questions po.

Every since Im a promo fare follower. Since Cebupac ito, ang dating ay 1am sa airport.. May nakasubok na ba sa inyo nung mga pay lounges sa airport?
Second question, since nakapag decide na ako mag avail ng tour ok lang ba na mag book ako ng separate na hotel and may mga nag ooffer naman ng land arrangements dun?

Btw, since ako ay si DIY lagi,. Yung day 04 na free time, ito na ang DIY day namin ni husband.

i had a visa na for renewal na lang wala kaya ako magiging problem?

anyway i'll be going to shenzhen and ticket lang book ko under my name kasi bf is there and siya ang kukuha ng hotel. kailangan ba ipangalan niya sa akin ang hotel reservation para sa immigration?? thanks sa mga sasagot.
