@mama squeak! - Hi! Long time no read (been away from GT lately). I've a spur of the moment Beijing trip leaving on Sunday (May10). Eek! If I pass my application on Wed morning, correct ba na the rush 2nd working day processing would be released by Friday? Yikes. I'm super gahol sa time!

Also, if not a first time applicant, are these requirements ok? application form, photo, Passport copy, bank statement, bank cert, (need pa ba bank documents for non-newbie applicants?), hubby's COE, hotel and flight reservations, tin. Am I missing something pa kaya?

Also, the forms can be handwritten nga ba? Thanks for all the info.

^Got my visa last month, I didn't submit any requirements just my passport & plane tickets since this was my 2nd application for Chinese visa :-)

^That's great to hear. Was waiting till Wed for my hubby's employment cert but I remember reading somewhere before na less docs na nga pag 2nd time or more.

Hi, flygirl, I had all my visas (except for my first one which my former company handled) processed by a travel agent thru my husband's office. Aside from my passport I only gave them photocopies of all my past Chinese visas. Since it was thru my hubby's office I guess the other documents like tickets, hotel bookings, COE,  sila na ang nag provide. Or, I'm assuming since they process all their pilots visa requirements may contact na sila sa embassy so they didn't have to provide other documents na. You're not using your hubby's liaison? Yup, rush processing meron silang two working days (if I remember right).

^I DIY everything. It'll take me longer if I course it through the liaison officer cos he gathers all the pilots' docs pa. Can take an extra day or two, whereas, I'm OC with everything and can do it on my own. Here. Sige, will complete the docs na din and have em ready to be sure. Thanks!;)

just got back from beijing, DYI land and thanks sa mga post & tips nang mga girl talkers it really help a lot.  I observed  na hindi uso sa china to say "excuse me, sorry & thank you".  Grabe hirap mag communicate sa kanila, very few lang ang mka pag English , even hotel receptionist & immigration officer can't speak English :-(

Just came back from China. The people were nice. Hirap lang talaga kasi kokonti ang marunong mag english.

Hi everyone!! We plan to make a side trip to Shenzhen on our HK visit this coming december,
any advice on how we could buy gadgets there?? our trip there will be facilitated by a tour agency, so we only have time to shop after the tour which is around 6pm onwards..

Hi! Anyone here who applied for a Z visa? How was it? I've only tried once for Tourist Visa but not this one yet. Sorry if medyo off topic but I really need an idea from people who has experiences getting one. Thanks!

Hi! I helped my hubby with his Z visa. Kelangan lang complete yung documents like signed employment contract na authenticated sa China almost all documents galing sa company mo from China. Filled out forms lang yung need mo and passport. Tho if may hingin pa yung embassy prepare mo lang. If complete docs mo madali lang ma approve and pagdating mo dun you'll be needing Red ribbon of your transcript authenticated by the chinese embassy sa Makati and if nag pa medical ka sa pinas as POEA requirements uulitin mo rin yung medical sa China within 30 days of arrival para maka kuha ka ng residence permit. Hope this helps!

may 3-day event kami sa beijing this october. just wondering kung ok lang ba na magextend ako ng 1 day to visit great wall and at night go to silk market? yun lang gusto ko gawin. gaano ka layo ang beijing sa great wall mga sis? at kaya ba sa half day na i-visit un?

aside from that ano pa ba ang pwede ko puntahan sa beijing?

malamig na ba ang october? kailangan ba nakaboots and coat na?

October visit pwede pang light jacket or sweater. I wear comfy, hiking boots since puro lakad talaga ginagawa ko dun.

mga 2-3k per day budget lang. malapit ba yang place na yan sa great wall? saka sis ask ko lang din, san mo suggest mag shopping sa ala tiangge style? mura ba ang shopping sa beijing?

^sorry sis can't refer any city center hotel since we always stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Airport (crew hotel). But you can check Tripadvisor for hotel reviews. Big help ang website na ito in all our travels.

I don't do much shopping when I'm there since mabibili ko rin naman most of the items here. But this website might help. I've been to nos. 1-5 but more on window shopping lang.

pano ang means of communication? pwede ba ako bumili ng sim card with 3g para makapag imessage ako, viber, whatsapp and wechat. kahit hindi nako makapag facebook ok lang. haha.

^you can use a vpn para ma-access mo FB, etc. i think yung different vpns was discussed in this thread earlier. Back read mo na lang, sis.

Mga sis pasend naman ako ng contact of travel agency ninyo na pwede mag ayos ng chinese visa. May ticket nako pero hindi ko macomplete yung requirements.

^sis, madali lang mag DIY sa Beijing. Very user friendly and cheap (CNY2) yung subway system nila. Bawal lang to post a direct link to one's personal blog but you can check my signature below. I have a few entries of our DIY visits in Beijing. Tyagaan lang mag-plano pero kayang-kaya naman.

Hi. I'm Beijing based sis.
UPDATE ko lang about the subway fares. This has already been changed, early this year. It is no longer 2rmb/cny for every ride. Price of the subway depends na with the distance of the distination. The farther it is from yout starting station, the expensive it is. I think the highest price is 8rmb/CNY per one ride, so if roundtrip nasa 16RMB na. Same with the buses as well.
