Food for Suppliers on Wedding Day PART 2

Just exactly what I had in mind chili. Parang di kasi okay na ang sosyal ng guests {na ka sit down tapos suppliers naka disposable plastic containers}. Don't get me wrong, kung nakatago sila ok lang. Pero most of the time suppliers may sariling table pa so plated meals i reckon is more appropriate.

Chili, i had to prepare breakfast for hmua, and coords. Kasi they came at 8 am. Those who came after 8 lunch na. actually, thea's team came at 7:30 pa nga kasi kaya buti na lang counted sila.

^Thanks for the inputs! I will check if they can plate as needed. But my suppliers will be in a separate area indoor, so actually i didn't mind if they're having different food vs. my guests. Plus, this is all what's planned, but of course if i have guests who do not come as RSVP-ed i will give the slots for the sitdown to suppliers (coor, photo, video etc). Hindi naman daw sila maarte about caterer food vs. packed food, basta wag lang fastfood! Several of them voiced that out hehe. My packed food naman is lutong bahay style and homey dishes which they did say they prefer as well.

I wont be serving real breakfast anymore--- except to our immediate family in the preps place and my ento and their HMUA in another preps place. I will just have heavy snacks available (probably some chicken pies etc) for suppliers and whoever else needs them. This is an item i unfortunately have to really watch my budget on.

I didn't have breakfast served anymore and instead my OTD served lunch early for those who came early. (i.e. HMUA - since not all of them stayed din naman til my reception, they started eating at around 11 if I remember properly)

If it's not stated in the contract, then I think breakfast is just a courtesy gesture but given how expensive weddings are, I don't think we're obliged to serve it Chili. I initially planned on having coffee available pa for my suppliers but that idea got lost in the midst of last minute preparations.

We prepared breakfast for other family members and entourage who had their makeup done at the hotel because this is my special request din pala. They had to come at the hotel early. So it depends on you ladies.. And it doesn't need to be expensive. Coffee / juice and sandwich is okay.

The suppliers are very busy too so they wouldn't have time to sit down and eat. Usually yung iba kumakain sa car on their way to church.

Whew!! Sige I will just provide heavy snacks for everyone -- ensaymadas, cold sandwiches, doughnuts etc. But at least I don't have to order breakfast anymore.

Thanks for the suggestion of asking the caterer to plate the crew meals. I will ask my venue about this. Hehe but I have a feeling lang they will decline since they sell their own crew meals.

These are all good and sound ideas. . My  venue / preps place doesn't want outside food brought in. Pero I think for the snacks such as sandwiches, croissants pwedi naman. We'll just also bring thermos for hot coffee. The venue provides crew meals and it's 300 per person. Dinner ang problema ko, they did not clarify if they can provide dinner crew meals.  Food kasi is already provided and included in our stay (thus a bit more expensive than some hotels). We won't provide breakfast na lang siguro, but have heavy snacks ready, lunch crew meals served, then dinner crew meals.

Question: Do we provide afternoon snacks for the suppliers as well?

^ I think it's not mandatory to provide snacks for suppliers sis but I personally want my suppliers to be full on my day so they can focus on the work rather than thinking of food when they get hungry. Hehe. I'm sure they will appreciate that. My friend who got married 2 months ago prepared a "survival kit" for her suppliers with lots of snacks and water. Upon getting the survival kits, the suppliers' faces lightened up a lot and they kept on thanking my friend for providing that for them

Our coord included in our checklist to buy pastries and instant coffee. I think it was for those who will be arriving very early in the preps venue. For lunch (if having PM wedding), include also in your budget your ento and family members whom you requested to be there for the photoshoot.

We gave cash allowance for our minor suppliers. Just ask them if that's okay and how much per head if ever. For major suppliers we ordered from caterer. Hth

before wedding day, i asked my h2b then na sya na bahala sa food ng suppliers.  but it turned out, aligaga na rin sya on our wedding day.  sabi ng sister ko (matron of honor ko rin), parang wala raw sa sarili si h2b pag kinakausap, siguro kabado rin sya.  so ang nag-asikaso ng food ng suppliers ko during preparation pa lang ay ang sister ko at coordinator.  we bought jollibee na lang, pati ako yun na rin lunch ko pero di ko rin nakain.  i'm not sure if all of my suppliers were able to eat lunch though may nakita naman akong naghatid ng food sa room ko (where most of my suppliers are: photo, video, hmua).

come dinner/party time, i alloted seats for all my suppliers.  pero parang di rin naman sila pumwesto dun, like yung mga photo and video suppliers ko.  di ko nga alam kung nakakain ba talaga sila ng maayos.  when i asked after the party, oo naman daw.  or baka nahiya lang silang magsabi.  but my hubby said, nag-abot na lang din sya ng extra since baka nga raw di pa kumakain.

medyo di na-plano ng ayos yung food ng suppliers ko during preparation.  mali pala na kay hubby ko pinaubaya, dapat pala lahat sa coordinator na lang.

Hi sis,

if you can give food allowance,do I need to give all of my suppliers the same amount per meal? I only have 1 supplier that stated 350/pax/ meal. The rest just said that they need to be provided with food. So if you give a few suppliers food allowance, does this mean I need to do this for all?

Pano un mag photo/ video team? they won't be able to eat asap if food allowance =(

^sis sa lunch nagfood allowance ako. nakakain naman P/V team ko kasi sila bumili. may kasama silang parang runner para bumili ng food.

Sabi ng coordinator namin mas gusto nila ang packed meals or fastfood kasi masyado daw time consuming kapag preps tapos kanya kanyang kuha pa, besides sanay na sila sa ganun and madaliang kain. So ngayon naghahanap ako ng maayos na pagkain for them kasi parang umay na umay na sila kung laging jollibee, mcdo, kfc, etc.

we're considering kfc fully loaded meal na lang for lunch during preps. may soup, rice, chicken, side dish, drink and dessert

My coordinator is telling me that Sofitel doesn't allow food to be taken inside the hotel. However, my videographer asks for provision for their meal instead of allowance so they can focus on shooting. What should I do?

^ maybe Sofitel has set crew meals? Though I would imagine they would be expensive nga
