Our invitation says we (h2b and I), not our parents, invite them.

Si hubby gumastos pero my parents gave us 3 lechon and pocket money for our honeymoon in hk. Jobless din kasi ako that time kasi pinag resign nya na ako since kinuha nya din ako after our wedding and kaya talaga sya nag abroad nun para makaipon kami.

50-50

We never bothered our families since we're the ones who want to get married anyway. Plus, test of capability din na if we can handle wedding expenses on our own, we can do the same for everything else in our marriage.

We also believe that money is power.
I've seen this happen many times na malungkot yung ikakasal kasi di niya gusto yung kung ano mang item sa wedding.

In our invites though we stated "together with their families".

Pareho tayo sis.

Our invitation says we (h2b and I), not our parents, invite them.

Sa amin naman, my parents insisted talaga to give something for our wedding. It was voluntary since hindi raw ako nag party nung debut ko kaya my father said they'll sponsor the lechon and pocket money. Even when we got our own house at nakita namin sya after construction, pag uwi namin from abroad for vacay eh nagulat nalang kami may gift na silang ref nasa house na. I have my own savings din at that time (wedding) pero hubby said he'll pay for everything.

parang nahihiya ako pag nababasa ko kung pano ang hatian ng ibang b2b's dito but i'm very grateful because i have a very understanding fiancé.
ang magiging hatian namin is around 14% sa'ken and the rest kay h2b.
basta ang main goal namin is to pay for all the expenses by ourselves without debts and so far so good naman. :)

Our planning started with a joint account more than anything else. We agreed to deposit a fixed sum of money every month and that's what we'll spend on the wedding preps. But sometimes he deposits more, sometimes I do. Going to the bank monthly has been a habit and sort of a "date" time.  ;) I want US to spend for the wedding an not our Families.

^same here. we also have a joint account where we put a fixed amount of money every month. and ganun din, sometimes mas malaki share nya, sometimes naman ako, so long as we have 'extra' lahat dun na  namin nilalagay.

50-50 share for both of our families. (Take note ha.. families)

H2B yung 50%, mga 40% dun from her tita, 10% from mom. So galing kay Tita and Mom ang budget ng side nila.

On my side na 50%, ako lang. Hahah. Mahirap manghingi sa parents lalo na if di sila nagvolunteer. And lalo if inexpect nila na si H2B ang gagastos lahat.

Ayun.

^ actually may mga parents pa rin na ang thinking ganyan, na dapat groom to be pa rin ang mag share ng lahat. Na himdi na talaga applicable ngayon.  ;D

Sa amin we started to combine na our salaries nung nagstart ang wedding planning so hindi namin accouNted kung ilan % share. Hindi uso sa amin na kapag gusto ko upgrade i'd use my own money. mas mataas din sweldo sa akin ni husband.

As long as happy kayo sa share and remember na parang practice nyo yan sa finances kapag married na kayo so dapat pag-usapan nyo.

The fiance offered to pay for everything but i volunteered to pay for for the girly stuff like the gowns, flowers, bridal car, makeup artist :) which if you add up will amount to about 25-30 percent of just the wedding.

I offered this and insisted to shoulder some expenses bec he has to spend for a lot, including our honeymoon which is gonna cost almost half of our entire wedding budget. Plus he spent a lot for my engagement ring which costs nearly much as my entire wedding hehe.

So i really insisted in contributing even if he did offer to pay for it all bec. I just dont want all the burden to fall on him.
