^ yup, malayo. Almost opposite ends of Japan. Nikko is malapit sa Tokyo.

hi sis, can you also share to me the contact or link of owner? how do you book it with airbnb? i'm confused kasi most of the policies would state na may extra charge after first 5 guests, tapos accommodation is up to 9, so yung 4 guests e chacharge pa nila on top of the quoted price of the apartment for the entire stay? need your help sana.... we are also planning a trip this coming end of october up to nov 1st week and medyo madami kami, 13guests. thank you.

@mikewazowski: I spent PhP 57,000 pesos for an 11-day stay in Japan last November (kasama na lahat: plane ticket, travel tax, accommodation, food, entrance tickets, 7-day Japan rail pass, and konting pasalubong). I covered the following places: Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hakone, Mt. Fuji (Lake Kawaguchiko), and DisneySea.

I asked the same thing to our host, and was told the price quoted on the site was for all of us (9 people). As long as you input the number of people in your search, the price should reflect for everyone's stay. You can always send a message to your host to confirm. We booked with Genesis using my BDO credit card.

^^ thanks sis. road trip kame. sa 13 punta kame ng Osaka for USJ, then after drecho kame ng Kyoto for sightseeing. Holiday pala ang Japan from 21-23.

^^we stayed in Hotel Consort in Osaka, Reiah Hotel in Kyoto both malapit sa train stations. Prices are from 2 to 3,500 per night.

Sis, how was your stay in hotel consort? okay ba siya? Twin room yung nakuha ko, super small lang ba talaga ng rooms nila? Will check your kyoto hotel din

Maliit yung room namin. Sa lahat ng hotels na napag stayan namin sa Japan eto pinakamaliit. Since 2 lang kami ng husband ko ayos na samin. Pero malinis naman and ok sis.

@nicolelaloo: Sa Osaka, sa Shinsekai palagi ako nagsstay. Why? There's a direct JR Line from Kansai. Madali na lang din to travel to Kyoto, Nara, Himeji. Plus, it's also a couple of stops lang via subway to Shinsaibashi/ Dotonbori area (via the Midosuji or Sakaisuji line).

My recommendation? Hotel Raizan (North OR South). Paid around PhP 800 for a single room/day. The room is small/ boxy but adequate nonetheless. There's also a TV and a personal ref in the room! Shared  nga lang 'yung toilet and the bathrooms pero common naman ito in all of Japan. There are I think 2 private shower rooms din. Sa 3 days ko in Raizan, never naman akong pumila sa private shower room. Actually, mas ok nga maligo sa onsen/ public bath kasi mas malawak 'yung area. 

Runners-up:
Hotel Shin-imamiya - literally a few steps from Shinimamiya Station. Spent 4 nights here during my first Osaka trip. Meron silang capsule rooms (yes, capsule bed siya pero naka private room), at meron ding private rooms (western at japanese [with futons - sa sahig]). Since this is close to the train station, understandably, medyo maingay. But the noise dies down naman at midnight.

Hotel Chuo - this was one of my considerations pero booked out na 'yung single rooms nung naghanap ako last July so I ended up with Hotel Raizan (which turned out to be an equally good choice). Hindi naman nagkakalayo ang prices ng hotels in Shinsekai/Shinimamiya/Tennoji area.

Waaaah flight ko na in 5 hours.. Sa hotel shin-imamiya kami. Kinakabahan ako na excited. first time ko kasi at siguradong sa akin lang aasa ang mom ko sa buong trip..

sarado pala si imperial palace in kyoto from dec 24 to jan 5 sabi ng travel agency na nakuha namin isa kasi yun sa kasama dapat sa itenerary namin on dec.29 day tour namin,,,na narra and kyoto city tour in 1 day,,,ano kaya pwede ipalit dun? or sabi kasi ng agency mageextend na lang daw sila sa Gion namin that day.. may suggestion kayo sis?
