Osaka & Kyoto, Japan Thread 2

will be going to Osaka/Kyoto this November. Anybody has experience on the weather? sobrang malamig na daw dun by that time?
Also, Im travelling with senior citizens so a friend suggested we find a hotel near a train station. Any suggestions?

Hi @rasee16, I can lend you my itinerary kaya lang our route is Nagoya-Kyoto-Osaka. It's quite easy to do actually, you just decide what places you want to go. For the hotel bookings, I either used Rakuten Travel or the hotel website. We will also be in Japan end of September. We had our visas handled by Discovery Tours, 800/pax but we got a promo sa expo so 500/pax na lang.

mga sis we had a problem we will be in osaka kasi till jan2 (departure)..kaka read ko lang na pag jan31 to jan 2 mga sarado daw mga resto and temples sa kyoto and osaka how true?...............
 
if yes any suggestions na pwede namin gawin or puntahan on december31 and jan.1?

we will came for tokyo from dec23 till dec 28 then tranfer kami kasi from tokyo to osaka on 28th. till jan.2 na...

20 years na ako, nag-aaral pa din. Pero plan ko after 5 years to visit Japan, and wishing dun na talag tumira. Tips? Or guide? I'll be living alone, so start ako sa zero. Magkano dapat maipon ko? Or sweldo ko monthly?

@hannah_03: I was there 4th week of November last year. Hindi pa naman sobrang lamig sa umaga. Mga 5 degrees siguro 'yung pinakamalamig (sa gabi).

@darna88: Hindi naman closed lahat ng temples/ shrines sis! Bukas naman ang ilang MAJOR tourist spots sa Kyoto gaya ng Kinkakuji, Kiyomizudera, Fushimi Inari Shrine, etc. Google japan-guide. Andun lahat ng mga tourist spots at kung bukas sila or sarado on certain dates!

But if I were you, I'd rather spend the holidays in Sapporo than in the Kansai Region (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc.).

Jan 1 ang maraming sarado na establishments, dec 31 ok naman plus mas matagal operating hours ng metro dahil maraming bumabyahe pauwi sa lugar nila kasi special holiday sa kanila ang jan 1. Sabagay pag nasa Japan naman ang saya kahit sa mga simpleng lugar lang iba pakiramdam.

sis fittotravel san sapporo?....what can you suggest for our FREE day na dec. 31 and jan 1? we actually have travel agency but that 2 days is our free day we will be staying in Namba Oriental Hotel..we dont like sana yun mga templs that day kasi sabi daw tao pag ganyan mga days?

Approved ang visas namin. We'll travel to japan next month for 3 weeks. Sana makapunta kame sa Osaka! Isa yan sa di ko pa napuntahan na lugar sa Japan.

Airbnb rin naibook ko para sa 6 days osaka namin then hotel ang 1 wk namin sa ibang part naman ng Japan.

Ayaw ko na sana kasi mahal na ang plane tickets ha, isip ko hindi na magpopromo na kasali ang xmas break kaya sige na lang kunin na.
