^sis we got an apartment thru airbnb near nipponbashi station. 2 bedroom siya. Maganda naman yung place 2 mins from the exit. Then around 10-15mins walk to dotonburi. We paid 5k less 1500 using smart coupon. So 3500 na lang. Good for up to 7 but we were 3.

Hello! 
My friend and I are planning to go to Japan this May for about 8 days (Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka).

I know usually ang sabi is travel light, but I'd like to bring some pasalubong din back home sa Pinas so I'm thinking to use a luggage na hindi lang carry-on kasi baka kulangin sa space. 

Has anyone tried to lug around a medium sized luggage when travelling from Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka (yung around 24.5" and yung kaya nyang laman is nasa 20-25kgs)?  Carry ba? 

Also, we plan to rent a pocket wifi. Ang kaso, Tokyo ang point of entry namin, pero pauwi, Osaka kami going to Manila. Is there a way para maisoli yung pocket wifi na hindi na babalik ng Tokyo?

@cezy_18, we availed of Japan's takuhaibin luggage service so that we didn't have to lug around our luggages from Kyoto to Tokyo in the shinkansen.  Okay lang sa bullet train eh kasi spacious nga but once we were in Tokyo where the trains are packed and there's literally no space for our luggages, I foresaw na mahihirapan kami with 2 kids in tow.

We just got in touch with our hotel concierge in Kyoto for the availment of the luggage service.  Everything went smoothly.  When we arrived in Tokyo, we just brought our carry-on with our change of clothes for the next day.  The next day, after our Disney Sea trip, our luggages were already delivered in our hotel room.

The fee is very reasonable, like around Php1500 per medium-sized luggage and Php1800 for our large luggage.

Re pocket wifi, I got it here from Discovery Travel at Salcedo Village.  But others also said that you can return the pocket wifi in another city in case you enter Japan via a different city.

Has anyone tried jetstar or peach airline from tokyo to osaka? I am going with my daughter and since we have a light itinerary during our japan stay i Might not get Jr pass.

We're finalizing our itinerary and trying to check and hopefully book hotels through agoda, etc. kaso lagi not available.

I've tried Tokyo-Osaka-Tokyo, sobrang hassle nya. I think the most convenient nga is shinkansen, but kung nagtitipid ka, you can try willer bus. I booked round trip fare for around P5,000 lang. Okay naman sya and comfy, to save time you can avail the overnight bus, masarap naman ang tulog ko sa bus while travelling. Buti nalang Osaka ang pabalik mo kase sobrang hassle sa Tokyo.

For the pocket wifi, you can check out the econnectjapan
Yun ginamit ng friend ko and okay naman, pwede ding i-return via postbox. Although, I think wifi egg is not necessary naman, madali lang maghanap ng wifi sa Japan and I think part ng experience na magroam around to find the destination.

Is it advisable to have 3 hotels? 1 in osaka for 2 nights, 1 in kyoto for 2 nights and 1 in tokyo for 3 nights.
Hindi ba sya hassle sa bagahe?

Ay i have a question pa pala.. Is it true na 4pm daw ang usual check-in sa hotels? If this is the case, what do we do with our luggage if nasa kyoto na kami ng mga 9am?

@rasee16 I think you can contact your hotel about storing your luggage before check in. I think most hotels will allow that naman. That's what we did with our stay in Osaka since maaga din kami nakarating sa Hotel.
