Osaka & Kyoto, Japan Thread 2

hi mga sis... me and fiance are planning to go to japan next year for our honeymoon...i'm wondering more or less how much ang budget going to japan... we are planning mga 7 days kami doon...

Day 1- 4 Tokyo
Day 5-7 Osaka

then i also want to ask.. madali lang ba ang umikot sa sa city? and saan kami pwedeng sumakay para makapunta sa Osaka..

^ yes covered. make sure if you really need to activate the JR pass pagdating nyo ng kansai. sayang kasi gabi na yun. counted as day 1 na.

Y29,100 ang JR pass for 7days.
same hotel namin for Kyoto and Osaka kasi 30mins away lang naman sila by train. 1 hotel nalang para di palipat lipat.

madali lang ba aralin train system nila? meron ba silang parang yung sa SG na gothere.sg? si fiance na kasi pinagawa ko ng IT namin masyado kasi akong busy sa kasal. hehe

san mas ok kumuha ng ticket sa USJ? online or don nalang?

^ madali lang magtanong sa train stations kasi tourist friendly sila.  Lots of English signs and they give you a piece of paper na may drawing na of the various exits you need to go to.  Just make sure may mga list of places na kayo in mind, madali nang magtanong

We bought our USJ tickets at the airport.  Very convenient.

^sis shygirlme, madali lang aralin and lagi lang magtanong dun sa staff sa train station, ganun lang ginagawa namin dun. Hindi naman kami nahirapan mag navigate, no need for apps, pero nung gumawa ako ng itinerary I use "hyperdia".

Mga sis we will have our honeymoon in November 2015. RT namin manila-tokyo-manila. I read na super pagod pag kukunin etong 3 areas. We want to experience both disneysea and universal. What can you recommend sis?

Day 1 eta 10:35am tokyo tour
day 2 - disneysea?
Day 3 - tokyo tour tapos night travel to osaka
Day 4 - universal? Tapos travel ulit to tokyo
Day 5 - tokyo tour ulit?
Day 6 etd 11:45am

Worth it ba na puntahan si universal? Or kung universal lang mas okay singapore?

^ USJ has the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which Singapore doesn't have.

Hmm, your stay is very short and if you're only going to Osaka because of Universal, it might not be worth all the trouble?  Unless, you're a big fan of HP.  You might want to get a JR Pass so travel time is just 3-4 hours between Tokyo and Osaka...overnight bus is 8 hours although mas tipid 'cause you wouldn't need to book a hotel.

^no I'm not. So siguro scrap na USJ, how about kyoto okay lang ba puntahan kahit 1 day from Tokyo? I read na mas dito maeexperience ang old Japan.

^ Kyoto is perfect for a honeymoon.  It's lovely and romantic.

^aaww.. Mali ako ng na-book. Sana pumayag si h2b na magtravel kami to Kyoto. Pwede ba ganito itinerary?
Day 1 - Tokyo
Day 2 - Disneysea
Day 3 - Travel to Kyoto, stay overnight
Day 4 - Travel to Tokyo ulit, pasyal
Day 5 - Tokyo pasyal
Day 6 - fly to Manila

^ Perhaps you can do Kyoto sightseeing in Day 4.  I think it's more romantic to spend time there than in Tokyo.

Blackgreen, I agree with Marose, Kyoto is very beautiful.  =)  But, its distance from Tokyo is almost the same with Osaka ha.  3-4 hours by Shinkansen and 8 hours by overnight bus.  You might want to take this also into consideration when finalizing your itinerary.  =)

Day 3 - travel to tokyo, tokyo half-day tour
Day 4 - Disneysea
Day 5 - Hakone

Gusto ko kasi talaga ma-experience yun disneysea. hahaha.. tsaka gusto ko rin makita mt.fuji.
