bzbee, I don't think it's a must-have, personally. I'm only having two shooters: our photographer and her assistant. I went all-out on the photog though -- she was my top choice and I'm 100% confident that she'll deliver.

^ agree sis! kasi iba2x sila shooting style eh. like samin main photog namin style is people photog, side photog namin is landscape/seascape mainly pero may people din konti. kinuha namin both kasi parehong may specialty :p

thanks sa input mga sis. by the way, i found vinz & vj on w@w. they have an ongoing promo as backup photographers, 7900php lang daw. package looks okay for a backup and their photos are really good. sayang lang kasi its only until april 2015. sana may makita pa kong gaya nila for my wedding on 2016.

i'm torn between aisle 1401 and dreamechanics. almost the same lang yung rates and packages nila and both still available on our wedding day. based on the videos i've seen, mas prefer ko si dreamechanics but i haven't seen a lot of reviews from them. si aisle 1401 naman hindi ko masyado gusto yung videos nila pero highly recommended everywhere. please help! your inputs are very much appreciated. thanks

^ yes sis may ganyan tlagang feeling sa lahat halos ng suppliers. Mas ok talaga yung may "this is it" before you book. Naramdaman ko rin sa dreamechanics yan eh, kaya lang taken na sila sa date ko upon inquiry. kaya medyo sad ako sa videog. Pero mukang ok din naman nakuha namin, kaya lang mas masaya sana kung si dream heheh

Oo nga, and i love their slow motions more than the fast ones 😊 tsaka hindi kung ano ano lang yung mga pinapakita, para bang nahahanap niila yung best angle ng bride 😊

It's really not necessary sis. Instead of paying two teams, I would recommend to just go for 1 photog team who's really good. I think you should also ask if your main photographer allows having a back up photographer. There are photographers who doesn't allow having another team of photographers because nagkaka agawan daw sa angles and dyahe naman paalisin ng main photographer yung back up photographer if nauna yung back up photographer sa angle but the main photographer also wants the same angle. another thing is nagiging crowded yung location like hotel room because photography teams are around 5 persons times 2 if you're having 2 teams, then videographers are about the same number. they coordinators pa, etc. Ako I don't want my room to be crowded with suppliers (though I love my suppliers. hehe) because I still want my family and friends to feel comfortable and hindi mailang sa dami ng hindi nila kakilala sa room just my thoughts

is a backup photographer really necessary? can you recommend anyone please?

Hi, I'm just wondering if you guys have to sign a contract from your photographer/videographer. I'm based in the US and it's a no-no here to book a vendor without signing a contract. I'm interested in booking a photographer from the Philippines but I'm wondering if it's customary there to have a contract before I ask for one. Thanks!!!

Normally, client pays the reservation first then supplier will send the contract. This is for those with good reputation already.

Kung bago pa lang yung supplier, I suggest you assign someone in the Philippines to handle this. Kaliwaan yung magmeet sila para sabay ang bayad at contract.

You will have to sign a contract, not only with your photo/video.. but same with all other suppliers, regardless of how inexpensive the service would be.
