mrscreamsoda, when I booked Mayad Aug of 2012 for my Jan 2014 wedding, their rate was 150k. When I asked them mga Oct 2013, it was 165ka na. Try to send them an e-mail baka nagtaas na naman =) I think Mayad has price increase twice a year

My wedding photographer just added me on Facebook yesterday. He wanted to help daw with preps and keep in touch with us. He's even suggesting prenup venues. How nice of him.  We're excited to meet the Foreveryday team.

Sa mga sisses natin done na with their wedding, i have a question about what to expect sa final output ng video. Finally kasi nakuha na namin final vid namin, the package we availed includes sde, cinematic highlights (15-20mins) and full length edited vid (20-30mins).

We love our sde and the cinematic highlights, yung cinematic highlights edited vid sya na 20mins until ceremony lang. Pero with the full length vid medyo na-confuse ako, 40mins sya na reception highlights. Parang putol putol na vid all about reception. Ganun ba talaga ang full length edited vid? I thought kasi from preps-ceremony-reception sya, as in full video.

How about you mga sis? Ganun din ba ang full length vid?

Adam1025, ano ba yung discussion niyo with the videographer? I'll ask ours but from what I remember, lahat yun and it will be like a movie.

^j.adore wala kami naging discussion about dun since we never had the chance to set a meeting with them pero sa contract specified naman na "Full length edited video in HD Format". That's why I'm now confused, its not what I expected eh akala ko as in movie style sya ng wedding from prep to reception.

Same Day Edit - edited on the day and usually runs for 4 to 6 minutes.
Film Version - is edited as well and will run for 15 to 20 minutes where the videographer will create a story out of your wedding.
Documentary Version - 2 hours and they will combine all the cameras used for the event plus all audios are live and will cover everything in sequence.
Raw - no editing.

All of these will be provided by my videographer.  It is good that he already gave a description so I didn't bother to ask pa.

Sisses, na sad ako bigla I was hoping to book Gail Bitoon of Foreveryday Photos (team Pat Dy) but his rate practically shoot up double... now I'm thinking twice if we will get him pa. We want his style talga and affordable (Before) but not anymore now. Ph55k for Service only.

Any reco na same style as his or Pat Dy or MetroPhoto. Mas prefer namin ang newbie para afford pa namin

hi sis! you might want to try marvin dungao of the12masters photography. sobra fussy ako sa photographer since may back ground ako dito. for me iniiwasan ko ang mga big names sa industry ng P /V  kasi since big company malaki ang chance na ang team na ipadala nila sa wedding mo ay yung least choice ng nakakadami. you can check his works sa FB and he has his own website. and for videographer we chose jeffrey pile from summer triangle films.

Meron ba kayo masusuggest same style nya for 30k budget photo only?
For video, we're considering Vidlens or Dreamechanics. Can you advise who else pwede namin tingan of the same price range (30k)?

Have to let this out.. i booked Chestknots without meeting them and paid dp.
They were light and easy to talk to although 2 months na, they still could not find time to meet us. Twice they set a date and then cancelled on us! Parang wala lang, sorry i forgot im out of town or whatever. While Jayjay seems like a sweetheart, there's this Carlo dude who can't get it right. Ano ba naman yung magrecord sa calendar, or magcheck ng calendar before he sets a meeting with us. So disappointed.
I resorted to not talking to him and asked Jayjay for a sched instead.
Nakikipag-usap naman but no apology whatsoever even after i told him what happened.

Had i not booked them yet i wouldve just let them go. Parang hindi naman ako client. :|

Hi Sis! I think it really depends on what is written on the contract. But based on my understanding of what you said, baka kaya reception na lang yung last one is because you have na yung cinematic highlights ng preps to ceremony which you mentioned. Best thing to do really is to talk to your supplier so they can explain

Sis Adam1025, sa case naman namin, nung first meeting namin with our videographer, he explained na kung ano differences nung Cinematic highlights and Full video and then he showed us samples of each one.  Yung sample nya ng Full video, mga 40 minutes sha... from the wedding preps until the end of the reception.  Tapos halos buong coverage nung church (maski homily nung priest) and nung reception kasama, so we are expecting to get the same output.

Siguro better clarify with your videographer na din kung ano kasama sa full length video nila. good luck sis! sana maclarify na nila

That's one of the challenges of wanting/booking known suppliers. You really have to chase them to get an appointment, especially if you booked them without meeting them first. Problem with the renowned suppliers is that, most of the time (especially during peak months), is that they are really busy with all their bookings. That is why it is really important that they train their staff well, especially when it comes to scheduling appointments. In your case, baka hindi rin alam ni Jayjay what his assistant did. If ever he did, well, on a positive note, at least you got to meet him na

I had to learn the lesson the hard way. That's why when I want to avail of the services of some of the known suppliers in the industry, what I do is I first shortlist the ones that am planning to work with. Once they make the cut, I first set appointment/s with them to get to know them, then if everything works out well, I set another meeting with them to book their services and sign the contract This approach worked well for us. Sabi nga ng mum ko, it's harder to chase them once you've already booked them, since they don't have to "sell" themselves anymore. Hehe.
