Hair and Makeup on Your Wedding Day Part 13

If only I can do my own make up, I would! 

I mean i do know how, kaso ang sabi ni fiance better na just sitting pretty na lang ako on our wedding day.  baka daw sa stress/tension ko eh kung ano ano mailagay ko sa mukha ko. Haha.

As regards hair, i have short hair. And i want to get a cut sana for the wedding. So parang short bob sana. wala naman akong veil (civil rites) so im thinking na ok lang. BUT my HMUA advised that i grow my hair long para daw she can do short beach waves.  Naisip ko lang bakit ba dapat long hair or kulot pag kasal??? Hindi ba pwedeng bobcut naman? Haha

Any other brides with short hair? P/anong hairstyle nyo?

^hi sis!! I have short hair. Ngayon almost shoulder length na sya pero this is the longest i've had in 2 years. Nagpa-pixie kase ako 2 yrs ago, i love love love my pixie then last year i decided to grow it out muna.

Honestly, i am thinking of having a pixie cut again before our wedding. I asked fiance about it and he was totally fine with it. I asked my mom and she straight up said no. Lol!

Regarding makeup, there was a time na talagang gusto ko ipush na ako na mag makeup sa sarili ko. Nagpatrial makeup kase ako on several occasions and wala ako nagustuhan. Kaya sabi ko ako na lang. I did my sister's makeup for her wedding a few yrs ago, and my friend's prenup makeup din (tas ako din yung backup HMUA nya nung weddinh lol, taga retouch since she did not avail of that sa official HMUA nya) kaya medyo confident naman ako on doing my own. Same with yours, my fiancé disapproved of the idea. Wag ko na daw istress ang sarili ko on the day (although i really think that doing my hair and makeup on my wedding would really be therapeutic haha). Then i found a HMUA na talagang nagustuhan ko. Binook ko na sya agad agad. Haha. Pero sa prenup namin ako na gagawa ng hair and makeup ko.

Sisses, i know this sounds too kuripot but does anyone know any makeup artist for my ento who charges below 1k? Im not shouldering their makeup but i would like my ento to be at my preps area. I plan to contact their potential makeup artist but won't be paying for it.

My beautiful HS schoolmate did my prenup make up super cheap siya kasi shes a bride too she understands brides to be daw... i wasnt able to book her on my wedding kasi nauna ko na nabook sina froilan (but happy with froialn naman,) its just laking tipid sana if phyl did my make up..

Haha! Mommies talaga, lalabas din ang pagka "traditional" no? I'm recently itching to do something with my hair. Medyo experimental kasi ako sa buhok ko. And then my mother told me na "o wag ka na magpagupit, malapit na kasal mo".  Opo mama. So nagpacolor na lang tuloy ako. hehe.

Pero sa prenup namin ako na gagawa ng hair and makeup ko.

I did my own prenup hair and make up. Ok naman itsu ko sa pictures. Lol! Although may tiwala naman ako sa booked HMUA ko, tama ka, feeling ko mas marerelax pa nga ako pag ako nagayos sa sarili ko.

Beware of Azhyl Gobe, she's my HMUA nung wedding namin last January 31, 2015 in Tagaytay. Very unprofessional, always late at iniwan ako sa assistant nya for my second look. Late sa prenup ng 2 1/2 hours, late sa trial makeup ng 2 hours at sa wedding day late ng 2 1/2 hours.

Kung meron ikakasal sa Zamboanga, I will recommend my HMUA, Iven Sescon. Ang galing niya!! Super affordable pa. 3500 lang yun traditional bridal make-up. Nag trial make-up kami kanina tapos umattend akong wedding ng friend ni h2b. I feel so pretty. Hahaha..

May hmu trial si anne garcia nakita ko lang sa fb page nya sa anne garcia's face art. Baka may naghahanap pa, magaling at maganda mag makeup yun yung mga available sa dates go kayo dun mga sis. Ortigas located ang hotel check na lang kayo sa fb nya sa mga interested.

My HMUA is Val Villarin, GT find ko sya. Good ang kanyang wedding package, bride + 5 heads is very reasonable. I won't be able to tell you yet if ok gawa nya coz the wedding is in a month pa, but based on the feedback here, mukhang ok naman. When we met, I just told her, I wanted to appear natural, not someone else

Oh em! I just booked her the other day! I asked her kung what time dating nya since 2pm wedding ko. Sya nman nagsabi na mga 9 or earlier pa if ok sa kin since madami memakeupap..haist

^sis better talk to her.. mas maganda if you mention din the feedback you've read. this is what i do kapag i have supplier na may negative feedback..minemention ko para alam nila na we're watching their every move.

It seems that the rate for HMUA services these days is 10k and up.  Personally, namamahalan ako.  Pero make up plus hair naman un.  Okay okay na siguro kung kasama na sa 10k rate [textspeak!] trial make up.  Pero hindi pala guaranteed iyon.

When contracting your HMUA, especially sa mga bridal fairs, READ the contract.  Make sure na covered [textspeak!] trial make up. If not, baka free [textspeak!] trial make up sa fair, kaya make sure to get it while you are there.  Hindi lahat ng HMUA ay organized, they can forget to mention important information to you even when you have already signed up for their service. Like telling you that the reservation fee is non-refundable.  Kaya mabuting magtanong, basahin ang contract. And get your own copy of the contract.

Lalo na kung hindi ka naman talaga sigurado na gusto mong magbayad ng 10k and up for your HMUA only.  Kasi sa ibang HMUA contracts, if you decide to cancel, it is stated in the contract that you will have to pay 50% of the total contract price, even if you don't avail of the service. O di ba??? 

These reminders/ tips are meant to guide you, especially since it is easy to get overwhelmed and tired when you are shopping at bridal fairs.

^yes.. very tricky ang offers minsan. They would give you cheaper rates bit lesser services. Kaya better to review the inclusions before signing up.
my hmua is probably one of the cheapest I've seen here.. I am paying 15k which includes:
-unlimited prenup looks
-airbrush bridal makeup with second look at reception
- +2 heads traditional
-free grooming for the groom

That rate was last year though. I'm not sure how much she charges now. She's fairly new in the industry.. but she's my hmua ever since kaya super memorise na nya what to do with me.

not sure kung ganito ba talaga pero kasi parang kami ang nag aadjust, diba dapat yung HMUA ang nag aadjust by adding more HMUA/assistant para mas marami ang kumikilos in every hour?

^bro I think that's too early. I know air conditioned naman yung preps area pero pagdating ng 3pm baka tunaw na the make up.
can't they make it 7am the earliest? dapat talaga get some assistants to do the other entourage kasi tendency magmamadali ang artist kung konti lang sila.. macocompromise din ang quality.
