^yan din balak ko nun una sis. sabi ni MIL, yun playard kasya daw sa biggest balikbayan box na 24" yata yun sukat. then ang shipping nun ganung kalaking box e 120usd. so sabi ko para masulit ang shipping, isabay ko na yun stroller+car seat din. kaso hindi daw kasya kasi mas malaki yun box nun e since wala na ko iba pa naisip na bilhin na makakapuno nun box, naisip ko wag na lang dun bumili kasi mapapamahal din ako. hanap na lang ako ng online seller dito hehe.

Im ordering baby clothes from Carters.com. ang cute kasi at mga discounted sila. pero yung tax ay humahabol sa total amount ng purchase ko. napansin ko nasa around 2k pa lang yung price ng mga damit, 2k na din yung tax ko. plus 1.5k yung. so im thinking kung sulit kaya yun. I saw carters items din kasi sa sm eh.

^Sis ako nung nagorder nung Nov 12, ang Sales tax ko sa USD181 na order ko was USD 12.02 lang...parang ang laki naman nung tax nung iyo? I had my package shipped to my address in Florida (MyUS.com). Meron din ako nakitang Carters locally pero nagcompute ako mas mura sa US ako bumili basta naka-sale pero dito kasi sa HK, wala naman taxes so sure ako na hindi ako tataxan ng customs...I'm not sure sa Pinas kung ganun.

^^What tax are you referring to? Each state has it's own sales tax so your total tax would depend on where you would ship your item to in the US, though none of them have 100% tax. Are you calculating shipment from Carter's directly to the Phils? That's the only case I can think of where tax and shipping would be that high. Standard shipping is $6 and would usually be waived if your order reaches $50.

I'm going to order thru Amazon Ameda Purely Yours Double Electric Breast Pump, Mas mura pala talaga when you buy from the states. Anyway, would you recommend I get the spare parts kit? Im still at 15 weeks but sayang kasi black friday sale hehe yung price ba na naka post ngayon sa Amazon, mababawasan pa pagdating ng black friday? sorry, newbie sa pag order sa Amazon hehe

^Hi sis! There's no guarantee pero ang cart ko sa Amazon ay nakaready na para checkout nalang once mag black friday kasi sa ngayon palang nakikita ko yung ibang items nagrered na sa number of stocks. Ngayon din na nasa cart ko na ang maraming baby items, araw araw may iba't ibang items na nagbabago ng prices, pero mga 1 dollar or cents lang. I've never really shopped during Black Friday but I did hear and read na magaganda ang deals. Yun lang, no guarantee na may deals ba sa mga items na gusto natin mismo bilhin. Nasa cart ko na din ang Medela Pump In Style Advanced at inaabangan din ang Black Friday.

Hi mga sis! I agree, ang laki ng difference ng prices ng mga gamit ng babies dito sa Philippines and US. Most of my baby's stuffs came from the US. Some are hand-me-downs ng nephew ko, from carter onesies up to muslin blankets. The first box that I got, yung balikbayan LBC box, it left US mid July yata. Parang $60 to $75 ang binayaran nila for shipment. It arrived Manila September 5 na. Yun yung time na may problem sa mga cargo deliveries due to port congestion. Then 2nd package, was brought by my brother, halos buong baggage nya, pang baby. Haha! And lastly, I bought my Graco Playard, Medela breastpump, Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream, more onesies and blankets in the US. Half price yata ng mga nasa Rustans. Kasya sya sa balikbayan box. Dadalhin ng mom ko pag uwi nya here in Manila on December 7. Almost complete na si baby kaya iniisip ko kung bibili pa ako dito ng mga side ties, lampin, bigkis, at iba pang gamit ng baby na only in the Philippines. Malapit na nga ang Thanksgiving, black Friday sale na! Magready na tayo mga sis ng check out cart sa Amazon, Carter and Kohl's.

to those who asked kung gaano katagal ang balik bayan box from us to here, usually it is around 30-40 days pero since may port congestion ngayon, mas matagal pa. siguro aabutin ng  2 months to 3 months.

Have you guys seen the news about port congestion yesterday sa tv patrol? Those boxes daw that were sent last August will be recieved this December. If you are about to send a bbox palang expect it to arrive on February pa. Goodness!

Im ordering a high chair, baby monitor and organic baby food. But maybe wag na the baby food at baka mabulok lang sa tagal ng box. Will call my courier and ask for a time frame.

^yep, saw it last night and this morning on FB. Tsk. Mukhang ipapasabay ko na lang sa cousin ko na uuwi from states this April. Tutal May pa naman EDD ko. Hindi ako makapamili pa ng clothes eh I still don't know what geneder baby is. haha Puro gender neutral na lang bilhin ko muna. tsk.

@preggygielian buti ka pa sis lapit ka na sa big day mo, ako eto pasimula pa lang!  hindi ko malagay yung mga gusto ko na items sa cart ko kasi puro pang girls yung gusto ko bilhin eh mamaya boy pala si baby. ang kaunti naman ng selection ng gender neutral, pero meron pa rin ako sa cart ko. May osh Kosh tayo dito locally diba? Different ba yung items? Hindi ko na kasi chineck yung Osh Kosh kasi akala ko same lang ng items. Lol. Ako nga gumawa pa ng presentation kay hubby para ma realize niya mas mura ang bili ko ng breastpump sa amazon kesa dito kay babymama.

Ako rin, been drooling over the door buster sale ng carters since last week pero after watching the news about port congestion, nalito ako kung anong size ng damit ni baby ang kukunin ko. Hays. Mostly, 3M and 6M with a few NB kinukuha ko para sakto sana sa due date ko pero baka naman kapag nadeliver na dito, hindi na kasya kay baby! Isip ko kasi, sa Black Friday next year na lang ulit ako bibili ng mga sizes 9M-1yo. Sana by that time, wala na port congestion.

Hi sis ainge88! Thank you so much for this! The model of my baby's stroller is included in the recalled products. I didn't purchase it in the US though, it was given as a gift by my boss during our baby shower. I have a baby registry kasi in Rustans and the specific model that I chose was on the list. 😱 I already emailed Rustans about this. I'll have it exchanged to a different brand. Sorry if this is OT, ano sis ang marerecommend nyo na stroller na safe for newborn to toddler? Thanks!

^OT, but you may want to check out Mamas and Papas strollers. Rustan's just started carrying the line. I got the Urbo2 for my son.

That's the downside of ordering from the US, recalls and warranties or damage. So it's really a gamble rin. Thankfully none of the items I've ordered have been damaged.
