@ young_maiden, ilang taon ka na ba?  are you too young to get into relationships (since you mentioned school).

What's wrong when people think na may nanliligaw sayo?  Kung babae ka naman tsaka single?
oops. Ngayon ko lang napansin ito. Sorry. 24 na ako sis. Law student. Ako yung TS dun sa thread na single for 5 years. Tapos inatake na naman ako ng nega trait ko which is worrying about what others would think of me kahit wala ako ginagawang mali. Hehe.

^ sis, don't worry about being noticed. What's important is... you're not stepping on anyone's toes and you're not hurting anyone (including animals.. kasi not tested on animals naman ang gamit mong make-up) in the process of reinventing yourself. Next time na hiritan ka nung guy friend mo if nagpapaligaw ka, sabihin mo na not necessarily and just smile. 24 seems to be a good age to flaunt your beauty and date as much as you can. Have fun!

i think this goes both ways, regardless if its the guy or the girl, kapag malungkot ka you're vulnerable.
there goes the saying na "The nearest, the dearest" but shouldn't always be the case, you can be physically far but emotionally close... that beats being physically close but emotionally distant any day.

I have a  business client. We've known each other for 3 years but hes been a "direct client" only lately. one day  i texted him some good news abt our transaction, and he said: "Ty. Lets drink to that"

What does it mean?
A. Is he asking me out for drinks
B. Its a form of expression like "hurray" or "great!"

Ive experienced clients hitting on me like DOM and its pretty obvious. But ive known this guy to be a man of few words.

I thought so too. But my male boss said "o yun pala pagbigyan mo na uminom maski isang oras lang.."

Literal?  From a guy to another guy.. then i made faces so bawi si boss, "invite mo na lang for drinks here in our office bistro kasama kami sabay papirma na tayo ng docs... "

^ Regardless of what your boss says, it appears like it's just a mere expression. Hooray! YEHEY! lang talaga yung Ty. LET'S drink to that retort.

@insanelypurpleprincess: i agree with you. sana lang di na ako makaramdam ng worry sa iisipin ng ibang tao sa akin. ano ba paki nila if someone notices me? hindi ko na fault yun. hehe. kulang lang talaga ako sa self-confidence but i'm working on it. :)

@stealthscorpio: late bloomer ba ang ibig mo sabihin? haha. parang ganun nga ako. hindi ko talaga ugali mag ayos since nung bata pa ako. recent lang for self-improvement. :)

ok lang naman. it really does not matter when you started to put on make up.  importante is the now - what's inside you at hindi lang physical looks. sobrang relate kasi ako dito.  Used to be so plain din, unti unti kong natutunan magmake up din around that age, mas late pa nga. Tapos manicure/pedicure, nung nag30 nako. Sobrang late di ba?  But it is always never too late.  Tapos mag2piece? Nung nag30+ narin ako!  Kung kelan tumanda haha. Ganun talaga eh, mapi-pick up mo naman yun along the way on what you feel like doing. so huwag mo na pansinin ang iba, basta masaya ka at wala kang inaapakan na tao, that's all it matters.

^ thanks bro and sis! :)

i guess masyado lang talaga ako naapektuhan ng childhood ko. i grew up with a low self-esteem. there was a time in college na may mga guys na nagparamdam sa akin. i had a classmate na binackstab ako sa ibang tao. bakit daw parang ang dami kong lalaki? hindi naman daw ako pretty. tinuring ko pang friend yung classmate kong yun. kaya i felt so betrayed nung nalaman kong sinisiraan pala niya ako.

kaya nung nagstart ako mag law school, naging shy and timid ako. naging cautious sa mga tao. tapos dito na nagstart pagiging one of the boys ko. mas madali for me kaibiganin sila kaysa sa mga girls. nung mga 2nd yr in law school na ako natuto makipagflirt sa mga boys without going overboard. then recently may mga compliments na kasi nag-aayos na ako. epal lang itong si guy friend and inasar ako na nagpapaligaw daw ako. hahaha. tinawanan ko na lang siya :)

^ Bury all traces of low self-esteem. I feel that you're on the right track, so keep going. Basta you feel good about you, it follows that people will pick that up. Hopefully, not only does it allow you to find the one, but also transform you into becoming the strong, independent woman that you're meant to be!

Lol

He'll be out of town for work the whole week kaya sabi niya nung Saturday, punta siya dito dapat kahapon so we can hang out and all.

'Di siya nagpunta. Wala ring explanation sa text or tawag na kahit ano. 'Yun pa isang nakakainis na ugali niya, buti kung nagsabi man lang sana siya na 'di siya makakapunta.

When I woke up this morning, 35 missed calls from him and texts ang nasa phone ko. He was outside the house daw before he left, nagbakasakali lang daw siya na magising at makita niya ako bago siya umalis, sorry daw at 'di siya nakapunta kahapon.

While I appreciate his gesture, naiinis pa rin ako sa kanya. Lol.

Feeling ko kasi if I let him get away with this, ganito lang din mga gagawin niya sa mga susunod pang panahon.

I think it is important to just ask him, hindi mo naman kelangan awayin. Talk to him na importante sayo ang mga binibitawan nyang salita. Kaya nung sinabi nya Saturday, talagang you made it a date na important to you kasi importante sya sayo.

Sabihin mo din na you appreciate his efforts but it does not make up the lost Saturday that you have anticipated and waited for.

Yeah i should enjoy it muna. Im not saying na ''he's the one'' pero I'll give it a try since pinapakita niya (for now idk) na good intentions niya. If it doesnt work. Forgive,Forget and Move on.

For things like this, nakakatuwa naman to get to know each other muna.  Pero ang importante is being able to guard your feelings na hindi ka dapat magfall agad agad sa kanya unless you are sure na nagfall narin sya sayo. So no expectations, tama iyan, just enjoy the attention.

What's good is you are keeping an open mind. And don't forget about the checklist!  Sis, advise ko kasi sa karamihan is to have a checklist of your ideal guy. Negotiable and non negotiable traits and characteristics.

Good luck sis.

Question:  previous topic about guys habol lang sex. Hindi ba kayo nako-konsyensya?  Or wala talaga kayong konsyensya?
makokonsensya lang ako kung pinaasa ko lang sya at nagsinungaling ako... pinapadama ko naman kung ano intensyon ko.. kung ok lang sa kanya then fine.. but i don't always do that  ;D
