In the end yung kanya ang haba haba tapos yung half impromptu, yung akin maigsi lang talaga tapos ako pa yung totally naiyak ampf!

Luckily Vows are allowed in our church. Heheh. We are making it short and meaningful. Yung sakto na less than 2 mins. 😊😊 no love story included, no wishes, no other speeches, (reserve that all sa reception) all solid vows.

Our church allows couples to recite personal vows but prefer not to because we prefer to keep our "personal" messages private. It's just not our thing, i guess.

After ba ng wedding vows na nasa misal?

This is a must for me. The one day in our lives when we can express our feelings and thanks and everything publicly to the partner we chose. It will make it so much harder not to cry (and i think i really will) but bahala na haha i cannot imagine our wedding without it.

Also our videog specifically asked if we can because boring daw ng wedding coverage/ SDE usually pag wala. Wala sila makunan na unique or heartwarming.

We had vows during the ceremony since our church and priest allowed this. Our priest suggested to make our personal vows spontaneous and not written. Mas heartfelt daw kasi and it was important to maintain eye contact with your partner instead of reading from the paper or phone. It was short but sweet lang. No heavy drama.

If you do decide to write down your vows, just make sure both of you are speaking directly sa mic and that from time to time you look at your partner. I've attended ceremonies na ang hina ng vows ng couple, as a guest di ko narining kung anong nangyari. haha Don't make it too long din na parang nobela na.

Kami impromptu personal messages namin sa isat isa  ;D 3 liners lang pero guests are crying sa sinabi ni hubby then pagdating sa akin, they're crying and laughing at the same time.

parang nabasa ko somewhere here na pag sa Caleruega allowed lang is message for each other before wedding vows. hindi ko alam kung depende sa priest yun.

gusto ko rin may personal message kami na iinject sa ceremony -short and sweet lang:) ayaw ni Bf. actually nung nagpropose sya kahit kaming dalawa lang sa room eh nanginginig na sya at hindi nya nasabi yung prepared speech nya. basta lang lumuhod at ngumiti at nagblush. so i can imagine kung gano sya kakabahan sa kasal. sabi ko sa kanya yun lang naman ipeprepare nya for the wedding kasi lahat naman preps ako nagintindi. and besides, yun yung araw na we will celebrate our love for each other, the only time na he can tell to those close to us kung gano kami nagmamahalan. charot! nasobrahan lang talaga ako sa romance books at movies!

Yes. When I told fiance, he was game. Pero he was teasing me na puro jokes at pang-aasar lang sasabihin nya. hehe. Well, okay lang, aasarin ko din sya! :p Pero syempre, may serious and sentimental part din. Pero shocks, parang ayaw ko maiyak! I've never cried at weddings kasi. Hahaha.

Sis caleeice
We are excited for this part. :) I do cry at weddings, even sa bridal walk ng ibang brides teary eyed din ako lagi hahahaha..so most probably this whole vow idea will bring me tears. I am more excited about what my hubby will say though. Haha!

we'll really have to think this through because i'm a crybaby! i cried just talking about my husband when we first met our solemnizer - in a coffee shop, out in public! then i cried again while i was saying our personal vows during our civil wedding....and i also have a really ugly cry-face so it's best to avoid it getting preserved for all eternity ;D

if your officiating priest is Father Allen, then yes it's called personal message.  Reason is, medyo strict kase ang Catholic when it comes to vows diba? majority of the Catholic churches don't allow personal vows since meron na talagang official wedding vows, which is complete on its own na ang meaning.
So what Father Allen allows, is a personal message instead, then the official church wedding vows.. :)

I already have personal message.  But when i read it out loud, inabot pa rin ng 2.5 mins.. Babawasan ko pa siya, nahahabaan ako.. i'll keep it short but meaningful :)

can we practice our cry-faces?  hahaha! so that come our wedding days, if we ever cry, it will look like one of those cry scenes where the lead actress still looks composed and pretty even if there are tears falling down her cheeks ;D

OMG! Sissies, is it true na Manila churches don't allow personal vows na? One sis from w@w told that they are not allowed to recite their vows sa wedding nila last Feb sa Paco Chapel. Sad naman kung ganun:(

I already drafted my vows, haha. I can't take the pressure of writing them on the day itself! Just a question, how long do you recommend the vows to be? Is 1 minute okay or too short?

Wrote my vows the eve of the wedding. Nagmoment talaga ko, and man, was i emotional! haha! Ang hirap simulan but once i got started, ang hirap naman tapusin. Lol! After I finished, kinabukasan ko na ulit binasa.

It was about a minute long.  And I had to bank on my comm III/speech skills para hindi naman din boring and all drama and mush ang vows. Ü
