first time mom din ako sis, alam ko wala naman issue yug package kung 1st time mom ka or hindi, so long as payag yung OB mo, sa package, kasi may pipirmahan kayo pag nasa hospital na. Yung OB ko is very mabait, sweet and lagi naka smile. hehe. magaan lahat sa kanya saka talagang i-eencourage ka nya at maiisip mo talaga na kayang kaya mo. her name is Dra. Grace Lunar-Manalo.

I am thinking of giving birth din sa Manila Doctors under Dra. Valerie Guinto. Anyone here that went under her? CS ako probably on March 2015. Any idea how much?

Dra. Osilla OB ko. May partner syang pedia, si Dra. Alon-Chua. Sa 2 babies ko sila ang doctors ko.
You can ask her sa package. Sched CS ako last August 2014. Nasa 77K lahat, na less na yung philhealth. Dapat mas mababa pa pero na extend ako ng 1 day due to eclampsia. Our room pala is 3,200 yata per day nun.

Hi den.nica hindi ka nag avail nung maternity package? magkano pf ni doc saka nung Nabasa ko kasi before dito na yung sa maternity pa kage sa ward parang 10 per room yata, masyado namang marami tapos bawal pa ang lalaki sa loob eh si hubby syempre magbabantay sakin.

Hi freelancer nung nagback read ao dito parang ward talaga ang kasama sa package kaya nga hesistant ako. Kasi when you choose to avail a private room yung normal rate nila charge nila sayo. Sa pagkakaintindi ko ah.

Gave birth in Manila Doctors last Jan 20 2015. Hindi ko din inavail yung package kasi pang ward lang yung room tapos di nga pede si hubby magbantay kasi babae lang daw ang pede. Emergency CS ko and our total bill was 54k. my sil is working in madocs kaya napamura kami sa pf, plus nakabawas din yung hmo and philhealth ko.

Actually magkaka partner na kase yung 3 doctors ko. OB, Pedia and Anes. 25k-30K yata silang 3 na. Hospital Bill naman is 50k+ so nasa 77K+ yung bill namin. Less na dyan yung philhealth. If walang philhealth, nasa 100k+ yung bill namin.

I'm also giving birth at MDH. I previously trained there, thus I chose to deliver there, instead of Asian Hosp which is more closer to our place. Plus, I know the specialists there and kampante ako sa kanila.

Hindi ko rin na-avail yung OB package nila. I asked a colleague (who also gave birth there thru NSD, plus kaparehas pa kami ng OB) kung magkano binayaran niya, sabi niya P20k lang kasama na Philhealth dun. I think waived yung PFs ng specialists niya, since doctor din sya.

Question: anu2 ba included s package ng MDH? Bukod s rooms anu2 pa mga inclusions.

Anyone dito kay Dr. Nazareno? Siya kc OB ko.

And lastly How much ngastos pag ndi nka package? My EDD kc is on May 2, so we're making most out of it na mkatipid for my delivery.

Update: tama ka sis de.nica, nagtanong na ko kay dr. Osilla last check up magkano prf nya.. All in al kasama si dr. Chua and anes, nasa 30k sila. So kung normal delivery daw ako baka abutin ng more or less 50k tapos if cs 70k. So medyo kampante na ko ngayon kasi within the budget pa rin naman. 😄

Oo nga sis freelancer mura nga, di ko inexpect na mura yung pf ni OB ko kasamana dalawang doctor.. Ok na rin at least panatag pa ko sa kanya since from the start sa kana natalaga ang check up ko.

Hello! I gave birth at MDH last friday, Feb 20.

Since it's a mother-baby friendly hospital, they will encourage breastfeeding even if wala ka ma-express na breast milk immediately after birth. They wont prescribe any infant formula even if you beg them to, nor presence of milk bank. It takes patience, pagtitiyaga and sacrifice.

A nurse bathe my baby everyday inside our room. Prepare all essentialS for bathing - wash cloth, towel, baby soap, clothes, cotton, alcohol, cotton buds. May sarili silang baby bath tub and maganda ang supply ng warm water. The pedia resident will teach you cord care. You can observe how the nurse bathes your baby, so you can do it at home.

Speaking of baby essentials, prepare 1 set of clothes that you will give to NICU to be used by your baby when he/she is cleaned. They provided 1 pack of EQ diapers (though I don't know baka nalimutan ni husband na may dala na akong Huggies diapers). They also provided nursing pillow but it's optional if you will use it or not. My baby is roomed in 6 hours after she was born. Sa recovery room pa lang, he/she will be latched to you.

Process and complete all legal documents once you can move. Mahirap mag-asikaso kapag pauwi na kayo. When your OB makes rounds, papirmahin niyo na kaagad yung birth certificate ni baby; you will fill up another PMRF for update of your philhealth; and request for photocopies of some documents for SSS maternity benefits. Ang matitira lang is the discharge summary because it will be processed once you are discharged, and typewritten na. Triple check all entries in the birth certificate, and you can request na ipadala sa bahay niyo ang certified true copy/ies of birth certificate. Ask your husband or companion to do all the leg work kasi madami siya pupuntahan - medical records, billing and philhealth station, nurses station.

My bill was almost P61k inclusive of PF of my 4 doctors (OB, Pedia, Anes, and Endo since I have GDM). Since I am also a doctor, they just filed a PF for formalities sake para hindi sila habulin ng BIR, nor kelangan ko pa mag submit ng affidavit (dapat no or waived PF). Tapos my PHIC pa ako, which was deducted, so naging P200 per doctor lang ang PF, which is okay na. Ang naging bulk ng expenses ko was use of the Ob-Gyn complex (more than 12 hours of labor tapos CS ako), supplies (glucometer, lancets nila ang ginagamit hindi iyung sa akin because of their closed door policy), and medications (obviously, mas mahal sa hospital compared sa mercury drug store or med xpress).
