Mga sis pa help naman.. I clean my daughter's ear pero hanggang bungad lang. Takot kasi ako baka masaktan ko siya. Now po nakita ko may malaking wax sa ear niya. Ayaw niya tanggalin ko at iyak [textspeak!] ng iyak.. She is only 3 y.o. Pahelp mga sis.. please

Otosol din ni-prescribe ng pedia ko sa daughter ko. She also asked me not to ever clean my daughter's ears with cotton buds. Wash na lang daw outer area while taking a bath.

Ears are self-cleaning like the nose. My pedia said pwede lang tanggalin yung wax if it's visible na from outside pero kung hinde naman, leave it be daw.

Just to add, you should not use cotton buds or those ear spoons in cleaning the ears. Also, you don't need to clean the ears daily. Just wipe the outer parts of the ear with a cloth or towel about 2 to 3x a week.
Our ears actually need ear wax because it plays a role in cleaning, lubrication as well as in protecting against bacteria, fungi and insects. If you clean the insides of the ear daily, the ear becomes dry, scaly and itchy and becomes more prone to infection due to the frequent ear manipulation.

^ yes, as the ENT advises.  The hair in the ears a cut ally push out the dirt/excess wax. 

When in doubt: get your pedia to refer you to an ENT to remove the wax. It's not painful - just ticklish and the kid's head to table for a few minutes.
