It has been a very busy week for me, deadline ng mga grades sa work.
24 weeks na kami ni baby by tom if my CAS will be my basis.
About the childbirth class that hubby and i attended, we enjoyed it. Introduction pa lang sa 1st session namin. Nagkwento muna si ms chiqui about her 5 pregnancies and labor stories. Enjoy kasi they are 5 different births talaga and all of them are purely natural. The last 2 she had in her 40s pa.
Almost 20 couples kami sa october batch, some will give birth at the last quarter of this year while the rest early next year naman. She also show us paano lumalabas si baby. She have a replica of the pelvic bone and baby in the uterus with placenta and umbilical cord na ginamit niya to show us.
Last part of our session are exercises for us. Yung iba to help build stamina para makayanan ang all natural labor, others to help baby para makaposition ng tama during labor, and meron din to prevent or minimize varicose veins.
Hubby and i learned a lot and we still have 3 more sessions with her.
Hope we all have safe and healthy pregnancies!

Also detailed naman yung info na nakalagay sa report niya so no reklamo.

Thanks, sisses for your thoughts regarding the "behave" days ni baby.  ;)

Konting kwento. Just got home from our OB appointment and sinabi ko yung kicking behavior ni baby. Sabi nya, it's normal for the baby to behave like this since baby is really small pa daw and constantly changing position.

It's our 3rd visit kay OB and mas nakilala namin siya today. Wala siyang nabanggit about OGTT ko or anti-tetanus injection (kung kelan ako kukuha). She likes to limit our talks based on our gestational age lang. Like, since we're entering 22 weeks, hanggang dun lang yung gusto nya pagusapan ~ mga need iwasan or i-take na vitamins at food. When I asked about something na advance sa stage ko, she'll gently brush me off. Sasabihin nya, "we will get there". Gusto ko nga sana umattend ng birthing class to set our expectation since this is our first pregnancy. Lastly, when I asked for her number in case of emergency, sabi nya, hindi daw siya nagbibigay ng number. Sa dami daw kasi ng patients nya, mahirap na daw magbigay ng payo or solution through phone. And ayaw na ayaw nya daw na may magte-text or call sa kanya para lang mag-ask if safe daw kumain ng talong tapos she's in a middle of a meeting or tulog. Sabi nya, what she always tell her patients is pumunta sa emergency room if may emergency sila. Yung ibang OB daw, kaya nagbibigay ng number nila is because they are trying to connect to their patients and build reputation pero siya daw, di na nya kailangan yun. I know she's good. But, I have this feeling na most likely, hindi siya personally ang magaasikaso sa akin when the time come. Eh di ba, kahit wala yung OB mo sa delivery date mo, babayaran mo pa rin sila. She quoted 55k for NSD at double daw if CS. Parang na-out of love na ako sa kanya...

Gusto ko magpalit ng OB. What about you guys? If ganito situation nyo, will you switch OB? She's our 2nd OB. Yung unang OB, umalis kami kasi she hardly saw us sa 2 appointments namin. Nung 1st, late siya and since madami nakapila, minadali nya yung consultation.

Sorry sa long read. We're happy that our baby is doing fine. Medyo disappointed lang kasi medyo hindi kami nagco-connect ng OB namin, which is very important to me.

^ i say switch OB na sis. kahit anong galing pa nyan, if you don't feel that special connection with your primary caregiver, no-no parin. you should be able to trust your OB. I find it a bit rude din, yung mga answers nya sa questions mo and excuse me, nagbibigay ang OB ng contact #s nila for the very purpose na baka may emergency nga and they need to be reached right away. It's not for the sole purpose of building reputation. ang taas naman ng tingin nya sa sarili nya. artista ang peg? resident OB lang pwede tumawag, lol. anyway, kidding aside, if you don't feel comfortable sis, palit ka na. yan ang magiging partner mo throughout your pregnancy and dapat masaya feeling mo everytime you visit sa kanya. lalo na first baby, right?

Ang OB ko, she has a lot of patients din pero one thing you'll always feel sa kanya, yung care nya for each and every patient. ang dami ko tanong sa kanya every consultation and makwento sya. pati nga sss and related sa work na napaguusapan namin. kahit panganganak marami narin sya stories sa mga patients nya na very brave daw and dami nya tips sakin. thorough ang explanation sa bawat tanong ko.

I consulted 4 different OB muna before I found the one. Lalo na first baby, I want to make sure I can put my full confidence and trust sa OB ko lalo na kapag naglelabor na tayo.

I agree sis, change your OB na. Minsan kasi hindi importante lang na magaling lang sya dapat from the 'heart' pa din ang treatment nya sa lahat ng patients nya, nandun yung passion nya. Sya ang partner mo sa entire pregnancy mo aside sa hubby mo so dapat comfortable ka sa kanya and you can fully trust her. Baka sobrang dami nya na kasi patient kaya sya ganyan.

bonnysolace: I agree with the girls. importante ang confidence sa doctor. most importantly sa OB. you will be very vulnerable at the time of your child's birth and having someone whom you feel comfortable with is very important. if you can't be with anyone sa delivery room, dapat nabuild mo na yung trust sa OB mo when that day comes.

At least 30 mins kami palagi sa consultation and lagi may ultrasound saka lagi niya ako inaassure na ok si baby tapos ano gagawin namin from now till I see him again.

@abbmg15, hindi siguro sis kasi parang too early pa para mag lactate ka. baka nagpprepare lang yun breasts mo kasi lumalaki di ba so nasstretch siguro yun nipple na part. hihi :D

^^pwedeng oo sis. tapos natuyo na sya. hindi natin alam. kahit sino naman pwede maglactate e as long as may stimulation. ever heard of a lola who relactated for her apo? or a mom who lactated for an adopted child? with the right guidance from a lactation consultant, nagagawa nila ito. mas natural/automatic lang kasi talaga na maglactate kapag after birth kasi alam na ng katawan mo na buntis ka at may baby na kailangan ng gatas mo. kumbaga naka-ON na yung switch.

ang sakit sakit ng boobs ko minsan. yung parang may tumutusok. not sure if nabanggit ko na before dito. sabi ko nga baka may let down na ako pero wala naman. minsan din naman nababasa sya. pero pakonti konti lang.

palaki na ng palaki ang tyan ko at almost 17 weeks. nakakapanibago talaga. ang hirap na rin bumangon at kumilos. tapos lalo pa akong tumataba dahil ayaw na ko pababain ni husband sa kwarto. lahat ng food dinadala nya lang sa taas. pati anak ko binebaby din ako. homeschooling is done in the bedroom also. so when I forgot a book downstairs nag-uunahan pa sila ni husband na kuhanin sa baba. :)

meron din ako nyan sometimes sis. pero i think it's natuyong soap and mga discharge so i use cotton buds na wet with water and i gently clean nipples ko.

I think breech position pa din si baby, grabe ramdam na ramdam ko either tuhod or mismong paa tumutukod sa lower abdomen ko halos taas lang ng vajayjay. Nakakagulat lang feeling ko na makapa as in paa ni baby sa lakas ng sipa nya pero happy ako super active sya ngayon  :)

Hi there!
Just had our last check up yesterday with our OB and things are still okay with me and baby. I forgot to ask lang when ako mag-ogtt kasi wala naman siyang sinabi. Pasado naman ako sa fbs ko dati and technically i still haven't gained weight. 1kg lighter pa ako sa unang weign ko with my ob but si baby tama lang weight niya sa age niya. Will text na lang siguro si ob.

2nd session today naman namin ni hubby with chiqui brosas for the child birth class. We started with a review sa mga tinuro niya sa amin last time. After the pregnancy exercises then she taught us massages to do while in labor para relax lang ako so i can have a natural birth. At first kami munang mga mommies-to-be ang minassage but after kami naman nagmassage kina hubby para mapakita namin sa kanila yung type namin na massage.

After the massage, lesson about the labor kit, birth plans and hospital procedures. By the way, sa hospital where we plan to give birth di allowed si hubby sa delivery room. Almost all hospitals daw sa laguna ganito ang procedure. They are not equipped to have another person in the room. Usually, the very big and expensive hospitals lang yung pumapayag. But hubby can still help me while im in active labor, kapag nasa transition na ako dadalhin sa delivery room.

Mga sis, if pwede ask your ob not to cut the umbilical cord immediately. Wait daw na matransfer almost all the blood from the placenta to the baby or until flat na si cord. But if you plan to do cord banking then it will be cut asap.

Hubby and i are really learning a lot. May app din pala to help you time your contractions.

Mga sis, ano pala plan nyo with your placenta? Do you plan to have it encapsulated?

^wow! lalo ako nae-excite mag-enroll sa kanya. salamat sa update tungkol sa class. san ba ang classes nya? sana malapit lang sa amin. isa yan sa pinag-iipunan ko for this pregnancy. hindi ko kasi nagawa before e.

^I'm also planning to have my placenta encapsulated. problem is ang hirap makahanap ng gagawa nito dito. I have seen youtube videos na nga of how to do it e. if no choice talaga, kay husband ko na ipapagawa. maybe we can source out materials sa bambang - yung plastic capsules na paglalagyan nung powdered placenta.

^ this month her classes are in her makati venue. paiba-iba kasi venue niya. i know sometimes sa may pasig or sa may san juan yung venue niya. just checked out her website for the schedule. child birth class is one way to include your hubby sa preparation for the baby's arrival. i'm glad na open si hubby sa mga ganito.

Planning to give birth there na eh, and sad hindi pala allowed si hubby. Pero pwede mag-picture sa loob?  :D

I read naman na atleast after 2minutes before i-cut ang cord since through that nga kumukuha muna ng oxygen si baby. Gusto ko din sana mag-attend ng mga birthing class or kahit mga seminars lang but I don't think I can do it na, wala ako kasama.

Anyway 28W na and I'm on my 3rd trimester!
