There's a Member's Treat happening this coming Sept 28-Oct 2. First time to go here incase since recently lang nagmember mom ko. I am hearing good and bad experiences whenever this happens, is it still worth to go? Inputs sis!

^You have to go there at 6am to get a cart and line up or else maubusan ka ng cart and parking.  They open at 8am.  You won't get to go home until 5pm because the line at the register is long.

Not worth it for me.  I already work for a living.

There were a lot of bad feedback on S&R's FB page. I miss the sales from 4 - 5 years ago. Last sale I went to was 2014 and I have not renewed my membership card since then. 😕

^a lot expiring items daw. They normally sell those at a discount on regular days.

When something is on "sale" at S&R, shoppers believe the price is based on their everyday low-price.  They're wrong to assume that.  What S&R does is they mark it up to SRP price and then apply the b1t1 or mark it 50%.  They mark it back up before they mark it back down.  Most shoppers are not familiar with their everyday price.  When they see the big "b1t1" or "50% off" sign, they wholeheartedly trust it.  When you're in that environment, hoarding mentality kicks in.  You end up buying 2 items that you have no intention of buying and yet you bought them because you believe you're saving a lot because it's b1t1.  In reality, you just save probably 30 or 40% and S&R made you buy 2 you don't need.  It's not really b1t1.  It's buy 1 and you get a certain % off the second one.

Of course there are exceptions.  The real sale and b1t1 items are the non-moving items that needs to be cleared out the warehouse.  They also post a few "good deals" on the internet to lure you in.  When you get there, it's all gone.

I've read that the line was a 5 hour wait.  Pila sa parking.  Pila sa pagkuha ng cart.  Pila para pumasok.  Pila sa register.

Hindi na kame ng-abala pumunta dahil sa mga pics sa FB...ganon na pala sila ginaya na nila sale ng SM. itataas yung presyo tapos b1t1 hahaha...Grabe talaga kumita lang pera kahit manloko...

In fairness, my sale experience last Sept30 at Shaw was not so bad. Two hours in line to get in. Every few minutes pagdating ng carts so hindi rin matagal ang hintayan. Inside, it's not crowded since controlled ang pagpasok. So i was able to take my time roaming aisle by aisle. Pila to pay is not bad din, meron staff assisting to point kung saan maiksi pila. I was 3rd in line sa register, not bad. Even sa resto nila, maiksi lang pila. We got there around 1pm. Madami din parking slots available, though di ako nagdala ng car kasi i thought na punuan. Bug i heard some na palabas na nagsabi they got there 8am daw, took them 5hrs in line to get in daw. LOL.

As for the deals, most stuff i bought are not b1t1, just discounted. Mga household stuff. Good deals pa din naman since i buy in bulk. I got a few b1t1 deals din, mostly kitchen items and towels. Bedsheets, ok din sana b1t1 but di ko na gusto yung mga naiwang colors and designs for King-size. Meron naman dun gulo-gulo na kaya di na rin masagot ng staff which ones dun yung kasama sa b1t1 and which ones yung sa discounted price lang. Got some alcoholic drinks din, mostly pang-regalo na Johnny Walker (Black and Double Black na special edition) and some wines for personal consumption.

All in all, pleasant experience naman. Spent about 3hours (and almost 40k, haha) inside, medyo chill pace lang yun.

Nagulat ako kanina kasi mahaba yung pila papasok sa S&R BGC. Akala ko extended yung sale nila. By the time I parked the car and nakipila na kami mabilis naman gumalaw. Pagpasok sa loob walang masyadong tao, the usual morning Sunday crowd. I stay away during their sale period because I hate crowds and wala akong pasensyang mag-antay ng matagal sa cashier. Meron pa din naman mga B1T1 and discounted items. I was able to buy B1T1 toiletries for our family's kasambahays for Christmas. Hoarded on cat food as usual.

Uy, may ginagawang bagong branch ng S&R along Sucat Road. Katabi siya ng Pure Gold at nasa labasan lang ng Multinational Village sa Para?aque.

Sulit ba talaga to get membership? Pinagiisipan ko kasi kung kukuha ko. We buy all our groceries sa landmark but most of the time for food items like meat, fish and veggies sa palengke kami namimili. Pero yung mga household cleaning items iniisip ko kung mas cheaper sa snr
