S&R Membership Shopping (Thread 5)

^thanks sis! Nainis kasi si mother last time kasi ayaw tanggapin nung cashier yung debit card ng father ko. Hinahanap pa yung mismong may ari. Though first time lang naman ngyare yun sa tanggal na namimili sa snr.

if debit card ba gagamitn for payment dapat ba same first name and last name sa membership card?

sa credit card kasi pumapayag sila as long as same surname diba?

I've never understood why may ganito silang rule that you can only use a credit card to pay for purchases if both the S&R membership and credit cards have the same last name.  What's the problem kung both the member and the credit cardholder are there in front of the cashier naman?  Ang arte lang

^no problem naman with my debit card. my debit card has my maiden name pa and my membership card has my married name na and I'm consistently using my debit card since I became a member years ago, either in aseana or at the fort.

^^ Hindi naman sulit for everyone na magpa-member, lalo na for those na hindi naman dito nakatira or once a year lang bibili dun.  Grabe ang kaartehan nila at times, nakakairita.  May one time na sumabay sa akin yung officemate ko when I mentioned na pupunta ako sa S&R after work, she was looking to buy a specific variant ng isang body wash na out of stock that time sa nearby local supermarkets.  Nung magbabayad na kami sa counter dun lang namin nalaman na may maarteng rule sila about the credit cards.  Sabi ng cashier magpa-member daw muna yung officemate ko, e 3 bottles of body wash lang naman yung bibilhin niya and wala siyang balak bumalik dun ulit, hindi worth it magpa-member just for that.

Tapos isang beses nasa St. Luke's ako right across the street from S&R, and iaask ko sana yung teammate ko na siya pumunta dun to buy some stuff for me kasi hindi pa ako makaalis that time, may mga inaasikaso pa ako.  I asked the S&R employee kung pwede ba na magsusulat na lang ako ng authorization letter that my teammate can bring along with my membership card.  Bawal daw, kailangan daw ako lang ang pwedeng gumamit ng membership.  Sabi ko paano na yun if for instance e I can't leave the house or like the situation then na masama pakiramdam ko, so di ko mapapakinabangan yung membership ko, useless lang?  Sabay sagot ng S&R employee na "Oo, ganun na nga."   

Ilang beses na ako nakaka-experience ng lousy customer service nila.  Sa totoo lang mas madali pa kausap ang ordinary supermarkets like Rustans and Landmark kaysa sa S&R, to think na we pay them an annual membership fee ha.  Dapat nga nicer sila e.

went grocery shopping at aseana 2 weeks ago. bought meats, food items and the usual toiletries, 1 box of swiffer sweeper refill, scotchbrite lint roller refills, battery-operated carbon monoxide alarm and battery-operated fire and smoke alarm. tagal naman ng sale. I'm already running low with my supply of downy, palmolive liquid dishwashing soap, and some other major household supplies. ubos na rin swiffer sweeper refills ko that's why I have to buy kahit 1 box lang muna while awaiting the sale.

we just went to BGC branch.noticed matagal tagal na yung "S&R Club Pricing" nila. When I went outside, I asked one of the staff asking the SALE date. He told me  "ayan na po yung sale ma'am, wala na po yung sale na tulad ng dati, ganyan na po yung ipinalit"

SAD SAD SAD. hinintay ko pa naman para irestock yung necessities sa house

their club pricing is only till 31 March. though in fairness andaming items on sale but no sale yet on the brands of the household supplies I'm using. i remembered I asked the cashier when is the big sale and she said she has no idea. if this is the case, presumably, na wala nang big sale and pa discount discount lang ng certain items, fine na din with me as long as the stuff I needed is discounted.

I love S&R. Sobrang laki ng natitipid ko dito when buying household supplies in bulk. Before kasi I used to buy in groceries, and every month ako bumibili ng supplies. our 3-4k worth supplies bought last October ngayon palang paubos.

Sabi naman sa Shaw April daw. The lady didnt give an exact date pero baka after holy week. Maaga kasi Holy Week this year.

Sana magkaron pa rin ng big big sale sa S&R laki talagang tipid nila. Specially kasi we buy in bulk. Kami dati nag iipon talaga ng pang gastos para sa sale kasi sayang yung mga buy1take1 nila..big savings talaga..

Mga sis, question lang. Mas mura ba talaga mga cleaning supplies sa S&R compared to other groceries like PureGold? Malayo kasi samin yung S&R. Maraming malapit na PureGold sa amin pero kung substantial naman yung matitipid ko, sasadyain ko talaga 

Ano naman feedback niyo sa Biozip? My mom likes Biozip kasi but I only use local detergents.

Yes mas mura but you need to factor in your travel and membership fees versus usage of the supplies bago mo masabi na OK para sayo.

even the local cleaning materials (perwoll, downy, etc), I find it cheaper in S&R. nanghihinayang ako buying the small packs from the groceries cause you'll end up spending more. The dryer sheets in shopwise/rustan's, it's Php 600. I spend the same price in S&R but the box is twice as large as the one they're selling in shopwise/rustan's
