question mga sis. let's say for example you want to "play" some stocks but only have limited fund (e.g., can only afford 5-8k at most twice per month), would you concentrate on 1 stock? 2 stocks?

^ COL din ba ang broker mo sis? I make sure minimum 8K per stock ang trades ko kasi I want to maximize the commission fee. Sa COL 0.25% of the gross trade amount ang commission but they have a minimum charge of P20 per transaction.

^ Minimum commission ng COL is P20 per trade.  So pag 5K ang trade mo, even if 0.25% of it is only P12.50, P20 pa din yung charge nila.  Whereas 0.25% ng 8K is P20 kaya yun yung sinet ko na minimum for myself. The difference looks small but when they charge for each buy & each sell tapos kung madalas ka pa mag trade it adds up.

Sorry sis, not a finance person kaya nahihirapan ako with the right terminology but I hope this explanation is clearer.

yes sis, COL yung broker. yeah, mas ok nga if 8k per transaction if madalas kang mag buy and sell. with the 20 pesos charge + commission, magiging .50% yung total charge. whereas if 5k lang, magiging .65%. but if hindi ka naman that frequent mag buy and sell, i think .65% is not that bad.
