Christmas tree, lights and other christmas decorations :)

Hi mga sis! start na ng BER months, kaya usapang Christmas na
where do you usually buy christmas tree?
It will be my first time to decorate my condo for Christmas may baby na kasi ako, for sure matutuwa siya pag nakita nya yung colorful na christmas tree with lights.
I have no idea saan ok mamili, yung mura lang but maganda yung quality. Also, yung size din na pwede sa small spaces lang. Thanks

Landmark has reasonably priced good quality trees.
   Yung mga 8ft   trees I put sa sides ng main door namin, outside with all the pollution ha, I bought there 4 years ago -- ok pa sila.

But my main tree, I bought from Tamilee

I decorate 1 week before Halloween; and put these ghoulish decor away on Nov 2.  Para ngang sayang, Halloween is just a day or two. 

I want to have all my Xmas decor up and done by Nov 5.  Para masulit all the expense and effort.  I noticed that my teen nieces and nephews  are no longer thrilled with Xmas decors.  -- so while my young kids still get excited by it all -- sige,  stretch it out. Lol.  (Ako, I am not excited by the prospect of having it all cleaned and stored after.).

Wala pa masyadong tinda ngayong christmas decors. wala pa din nga akong naririnig na Christmas songs e unlike dati na pagpasok ng september, andami na.

Hindi pa din kami makabili since we are moving out na dito sa bahay ng stepdad ko. Bubukod na kami. And last week ng oct. to first week pa ng Nov. target namin. I'm so excited to put decors on our new home and to start our own Christmas tradition.

Meron ako gusto from National Bookstore Shangrila.  What do they call the good quality christmas trees?  I live in a townhouse and my baby loves to look at lights and I'm excited to put up the decors na.

I just discovered the source of most Xmas decors & an importer of Xmas trees.   My asst. went to ANDING's in Divisoria for our offices' decor.   The prices are unbelievably low; but these go up as Xmas nears.   

However, if you aren't going to purchase a lot -- perhaps it isn't worth the trouble of going there.

Costco here sells reasonably priced holiday decor (garlands, wreaths, candle center pieces, runners, nativity scenes, moving reindeers, etc).  Not only are they cheaper than department stores but the items are big too,  perfect dimension for stairs, big walls, high ceilings.
Since S&R yata ang equivalent diyan,  maybe they sell the same items doon?

Costco items are reasonable but the selection brought here are "generic".    The Costco Buyers for the Phils. probably do not bring in too wide a selection due to the stiff competition from  Made in China products (which are cheaper here than in the US for obvious reasons).   Atchaka alam mo naman dito, Pinoys are very artistic/creative.  We just gotta have unique items in our homes & offices. So, IMO, people prefer to get hold of decor  elements & ornaments, & assemble these.  But the big items for outdoor use are best at Costco.  A few years back, I got these huge balls for the perimeter fence; to-date, usable & shiny pa. 

Tamilee is consistent, with quality & it's own brand of artistry.  But kinda on the high end.  Their arrangements & handmade ornaments really stand out. For ornaments, nobody beats Rustan's; their better ornaments cost P1500 each at least.  Though I have noticed that the Made-in-China ones hover around P500 at least per ornament.   Greenbelt stores offer even higher end ornaments/decor -- to appeal to those who really don't want to have items most of us have.  But the selection & quantity is very limited.

The stuff my asst & messenger bought at  ANDING's were quite good.  I mean, not comparable to Tamilee, Rustan's & the Greenbelt stores stocks, but definitely better than National Bookstore (at half the price).
They previously went to  Landmark, but the pricing & selection was "off".   
(What they did was take photos, send via Viber; and I approved or disapproved). Grabe daw ANDING's - parang fire trap.   
These were mostly ornaments to stick into wreaths & Xmas trees for our field offices & warehouse-depots.  (Eh ayoko gumastos sa ganon kasi  the Xmas decor are usually taken home by the staff there.  Or, they don't store it well enough to be recycled. )

For big trees, there's Unique --  lol, I go with a mask on to prevent a hika attack.  But the 12-14  ft trees are there, of  good quality, very pretty.    Sabi ng tree decorator ko 10 years - daw magagamit.

Sa Dapitan Arcade ako namili. P150 yun presyo ng led na xmas lights. Pwede pa tawaran kung madami bibilhin. Paisa-isa lang, sa mall na lang kayo.. di worth ang putok sa kilikili sa sobrang init dun. Haha!

Ano po ba amg advisable na height ng christmas tree for a 2br condo? Also advisable ba ang decorations sa condo to think na magiging takaw space sya?

a friend who is an interior decorator posted a photo of a racket of hers on IG few days ago. she decorated a 2 bedroom condo also. no tree, puro decorations lang wreath like decors sa center table. walls and stairs lang. no tree pero looks really nice. i think pick nice colors lang
