where is best foreign destination for Christmas???

please share your experiences. planning out a 5 day christmas vacation overseas.

i will start:

Hongkong is nice because of the just right cold weather. they close the nathan road during the christmas eve for catholic organizations singing christmas songs. all malls have the christmas vibe so very festive feel. be careful tho with churches because we entered 2 which looked very catholic but protestants pala.

singapore is ok also but the weather is warm like the Philippines. the universal studios has a night pass during december coz they extend operating hours to 10pm. we saw waterworld at 930pm. nice effects. but since it is a warm country, people are still wearing shorts all around. iba pa din yung naka winter look.

i would like to see how Disney Orlando gets decorated for the holidays and what programs they have. they wont claim to be the happiest place on earth for nothing.

For me nothing beats spending Christmas sa Pinas.  Call me oldie and senti iba ang spirit of the holidays diyan.  Kaso hindi makakuha ng Dec vacation days yung matanda ko.

Sa Europe!  Dream ko 'yan.  Maybe in Switzerland?  Basta 'yung mukhang kapitbahay ko lang si Santa hehe.

Sa europe, okay kung may family kang kasama but kung on your own ka then sama ka lang sa other pinoys/mabait na Europeans. mas masaya pa rin sa Pinas! I experienced Christmas na on my own sa UK, Spain and blah lang sya. My take, masaya ang new year's celeb ng Mga Western countries kasi most people go to their iconic landmarks and do the countdowns there with wine etc.  eto medyo fun pa, pero christmas, I'd do it in Pinas if may choice. Korea or Japan has the winter look but they do not really celebrate Christmas sooo not too festive.

Germany or somewhere in Europe for Christmas markets.

I experienced new year's eve sa NY but hindi ko napanood live ang ball drop dahil super daming tao. Super mahal din hotel room kapag new years eve but masaya din skating sa central park and watch christmas shows.

since its just 5 days, you might want to spend it anywhere in asia.  HK will be the best bet since it can be a family vacation because of Disneyland.  besides, the climate is cooler.  you may also want to try in Taiwan, food trip kasi mura lang at big serving.  climate here is also cool.

Since its a 5 day vacation, asia is your best bet. Hong Kong and Singapore would be the easiest. Japan, Korea or Taiwan would be great too.
