Hi mga misis! Kamusta ang friendship ninyo with other married friends of yours? Did you make new friends when you got married or your friends are still the same when you were single?

When I got married, I met new friends rin and some naman college, HS and elementary friends ko pa. I also removed some toxic friends na kaya kaunti na lang sila natira. But its fine kasi I know I will meet new ones naman. Some kasi iba na siguro priorities namin, some naman inggit, tsismis and paninira lang ang ginagawa sa akin kaya i decided to stay away from them na. But to those naman na i remained friends, parang wala naman nagbago sa amin. We still act, talk like nung single pa kame. The only thing na nagbago is syempre may curfew na since may nag aantay na sa house but one thing na nakakatuwa is magkakaibigan rin pati mga asawa namin, well naging magkakaibigan na rin. So wala naman problem, mas naging masaya kasi mas lumaki kame.

As to be expected:  enjoyable, helpful;  never perfect of course, but should never be toxic.

Did you make new friends when you got married or your friends are still the same when you were single?

Of course, I made new friends -- lots more.  Hubby moves in a bigger pond.  As I advance my interests and engage in our businesses -- my pond too gets bigger.  Basically, I am a very sociable person. My husband sometimes complains I am too friendly, I have too many friends daw.

But, IMO, friendships that are managed well make life easier & richer/more colorful.
The really True Friendships are divine gifts, I treasure these.

I aim to "keep" all friends, old and new.
But of course, there are times when it's best to do this:  "Bridge closed for repairs".
And, well -- drop friends who become toxic.

My friendships now has changed but remain friends with the previous ones kasi lang malayo na ako sa kanila kaya na freeze for a long time ang activities namin but through social media we get to talk once in a while..I enjoy talking with new people and get to know their perceptions in life  in a way that helps me to think more out of the box.  But honestly somestimes talking with other married women  friends get boring kasi one or two can't talk about their kids without bragging about them. It's just pathetic.

@TS - same with @sis j.adore.  My old friends ( some college friends), now my clique are my old workmates from the hospital that I used to work for   dyan sa Pinas. Then we went to London one after the other. Sa hirap at ginhawa (hahaha buhay OFW dati),  from single days, clubbing days sa manila, then naging clubbing days sa London sila ang kasama ko. Surviving from one paycheck to another as all of us were still new then. Fastforward 6 years later sila pa din kasama ko. And almost all of us are married now. Yung clubbing days namin ay naging family dinners (kami yung magkaka family - none of us have children yet) from one's flat to another. Yung mga cocktails and hard drinks naging wine and champagne na hehe.  Now sad to say, nagkawatak watak na kami since one of my friends moved back to the Phil, and I moved naman to my hubby's place. But happy to say na as for.marriwd friends, sila pa din yung friends ko. Parang ang hirap kasi magtrust eh. Here sa place ng hubby ko, we are friends with  his friends, pero yung friendship or trust ko hindi ko maibigay pa sa kanila. If I have a problem, naka viber na ako kagad or facetime. ;).The power of technology hehe

To answer your questions:
1. Kamusta ang friendship ninyo with other married friends of yours?

I have a great relationship with friends who are married, we get to share tips and advice and insights on marriage or life in general.. masaya pa kase our kids are mostly of the same age. so when we get together bonding din sila.

2. Did you make new friends when you got married or your friends are still the same when you were single?

I'm still good friends with my single friends.. I have made new friends because of my husband din. I try to assimilate into his life so i have a better understanding of my hubby. may new friends din ako sa office ko pero dahil confidential work ko i dont share much with them..

I still have the same set of friends na since childhood, highschool and college. Sa childhood friends ko, although they live around the area, mula ng mag babies na, bihira na din shempre magkita kita. madalas na lang pag me okasyon, dito most married na, iilan na lang ang single, or ikakasal pa lang. Sa highschool friends ko naman, super rare namin magkita kasi mga workaholic ang mga loka loka, of 7 girls, 3 pa lang kaming married, ako palang me anak, sa college naman 3 girls na lang kami, madalas sila sa province nila now lalo na yung isa since andun business nya pati preggy sya di na makapagpabalik balik sa manila. Yung isa ko pang set of barkada naman, LDR kaming lahat ako lang nasa manila, pero yung isa ang pabalik balik dito sa pinas kaya kami din madalas magkita, sa 5, 3 are married with kids, 1 with kid not married and one getting married palang, so medyo itong group na to yung mas relatetable, despite sa nasa ibang bansa sila, and my guy bestfriend, although busy with tapings, we always make sure to see each other at least every month, nito lang kasagsagan ng current soap nya, out of town kasi nun di kami nakakapag kita. Tapos now in manila, hectic mashado sked nya. All of them naman meron active chat groups, except college friends pala na rare ko nakakausap, itong other groups, di lilipas ang isang araw na di kami nagkakausap. I am happy so happy that everything's still the same. Mga halos 2 decades ko ng friend tong iba. Walang pagbabago. Wala pala akong workmate friends kasi di naman ako nagwork talaga, i did pero the bond wasnt enough. Hehe

Did i have new friends after i got married? Actually me mga nawala pa nga, that's life. Pero meron namang dumadating sa life mo na sa ngayon, sila yung really constant people na kausap ko, yung tipong sila yung nashisharean ko ng issues, weird na hindi yung mga lumang friends ano? My bestfriend nakikwento ko pa, she knows din shempre, pero these 2 girls whom i met here when i was pregnant and were also pregnant sila talaga yung naging confidant ko, maybe because kaming tatlo since sabay buntis, my son is older ng 2 months sa kanila, relate relate kami, tapos mom of boys pa. So sila talaga it was so easy to rant or rave or just kwento anything., we shared the same journey at the same time thats why.

I'm the last amongst my friends who got married. so hinihintay na talaga nila ko sa wifehood/motherhood club, matagal na. lol!  these friends are from gradeschool/highschool/college/sorority sisters.  not that much, pero quality friends naman  :)  inaanak ko most of their kids (kahit isa lang inaanak ko sa kids nila pero lahat ng anak tawag sa akin ninang)
and i also got most of them as godparent to my baby. We rarely find time to meet due to busy sched, BUT we send messages every now and then. and as a new mom, sila din una ko tinatawagan/tinetext pag may concerns ako kay baby.

New friends? we have an fb group na galing din dito sa GT. yung mommies who gave birth last Q of 2015.  we have not yet met pero we are all active online. super active pa din until now and sharing with the progress of our babies.

I think it's good na you build friendships with the people who relate to you. Natutuwa ako kasi most of my very close friends from HS and college, halos sabay sabay/sunod sunod kami nag-asawa. So far, 3 of my friends have recently given birth. Ako na yun susunod. Then some of my other friends are pregnant as well, or TTC. Ang joke nga namin is talagang most of us naghabol mag-asawa/magka baby by 30 years old (late 20's kami ngayon). Haha. Natutuwa ako kasi even if yung iba ang tagal na di nagkita, we still can relate to each other because of the life stage we're in now, and madami kaming nabibigay na advice to each other, and syempre natututo din kami from each other. Most of my married friends are the same people na barkada ko na talaga eversince.

Syempre, it's also good that I meet married women/mommies here in GT. :)

same tayo sis. kami naman 2Q of 2013.. pero hindi na kasing close dati. pero madami kami naging EB, once before giving birth (pero di na ako nakasama kasi nanganak na ako) then september pinaka unang EB after everyone gave birth na pinaka last nun June. pero hindi na nga kasing close dati.. me mga kanya kanya na ding small groups. pero buhay pa din yung fb group namin plus chat group pero the chat group is not kasing active ng dati.

@simang nako yung dalawang married na sa highschool barkada ko, ang tagal mag anak!!! my bestfriend kala namin preggy na sya. pero hindi :( lungkot! eh wala si hubby niya dito. so pagbalik pa try uli, yung isa wala pa rin. sa college ayun me preggy na kaso di kami nag uusap mashado

Same with @iam_me and @j.adore, I only have my college friends who stay with me until I get married. Iba kasi pananaw ko sa friendship like andami ko din naging friends from high school-college-workmates, pero iba yung naging samahan namin nung college friends ko like we get to see at least once a year (since ofw ako) I mean walang paltos yung pagkikita namin every leave ko and I make sure kasama sila sa itinerary plans ko pa-pinas. Also, we almost FB chat everyday. Imagine 10 kaming magbabarkada, half of the group pamilyado na incl. myself. Yung iba sa kanila mejo hindi na paramdam but I still value our friendship.  ;D And feeling ko until pagtanda na namin like our kids get old, kami2x pa din (well I hope)  :P

nung napromote wife ko nadagdagan friends niya kaso ang masama most of the time mas naniniwala pa siya sa mga "friends" niya kesa sakin
pag sinabi ko parang wala siyang tiwala pero pag galing sa friends niya parang lagi silang tama

i dont think so
di sa nagbubuhat ako ng sariling upuan pero wala akong kabisyo bisyo
i dont smoke nor drink, di ako lumalabas pag gabi.
