Read & heard a lot about the famous Binondo walking food trip and we finally tried it last Sunday, We started around 3pm and thus have only tried Dong Bei Dumplings, Chuan Kee, Masuki and Salazar Bakery. Sharing below what we've tried and our ratings:
Dong Bei Dumplings
* kuchay with pork dumplings - freshly made and was still steamy hot when served. - Very Good!
*pork dumplings soup - soup is quite bland for our taste but serving is generous. - Good!
Total Bill : P 240.00/4 = P 60/pax
Chuan Kee
*lechon kawali drenched in atsara - still crunchy despite the sauce - not too sweet and greasy - Good!
*Braised beef topping - my daughter loved it so much; it was gone in just minutes

- Very Good!
*Ube siopao (asado & bola2) - soft tasty bun, filling was just enough. - Good!
* kiampong rice - not soggy - perfect combination with lechon kawali -Good!
* Mango shake - not too sweet - Average
Total Bill : P 390/4 = 97.50
Masuki
*Special Siopao - asado with egg - so big; can be shared by 2-3 persons - soft tasty bun and flavorful filling - Very Good!
*Original Mami - fresh pulled noodles and flavorful toppings. - Very Good!
Total Bill : P 290/4 = P 72.50
Salazar Bakery
*Hopia Monggo & Baboy - crust was intact and has tasty filling. Very Good!
*Tikoy with Peanuts - Good but would be better if they add more peanuts; IMO - Good!
* Jelly Roll - not too sweet, thick and dense yet soft - Very Good!
*Buchi - soft, tasty and not oily - Excellent!
Total Bill : P 198/4 = P 49.50
We ended our trip around 6pm with a heavy stomach and 2 bags of take-out orders, As we are planning another trip soon mga sisses, where else should we try next? Any suggestions?
