we were in KL last New Year's weekend, hinde kami natuloy sa Hotel Istana as planned, ayaw ni hubby gumastos for a hotel, hinde daw staycation ang nasa isip niya lol. we stayed at Rainforest B&B, mura lang, our room is small and clean.
we left SG New Year's day at 9am and reached KL around 3:30PM (took us an hour sa queue sa JB Immigration then ang tagal din ng stopover namin na dapat 20mins lang)
The coach dropped us at Bukit Bintang near Pavilion Mall, kumain muna kami sa Nando's @ Pavilion before going to Rainforest B&B.
After check in, we just rested muna
at 7PM, we started walking towards Pavilion Mall, bought some llaollao (our fave) and continued sa Walkway, it was a long walk from Pavilion Mall to KLCC.
We were at Petronas for about an hour, photo ops and people watching lol.
Balik kami Bukit Bintang via Walkway again.
Did a little shopping back in Pavilion then late dinner at Jalan Alor.
On our second day we woke up late and had the breakfast included sa room, it's very simple - toasts, cereals, coffee/ tea.
checked out and went to KL Sentral via Monorail. Good na connected na ang monorail sa KL Sentral, dati kasi have to go out on the street pa.
we proceed sa RWS genting booth and learned na ang earliest avail bus sched to Genting is at 3PM pa then sold out na daw lahat ng pabalik na trip. I was asking the lady staff whether there will be lots of cabs in Genting pauwi and she said na we don't need to worry kung walang bus kasi madami daw dun taxi and mga private cars na pwede namin sakyan pauwi. Gusto ko pa din tumuloy but ayaw na ni hubby kung hinde bus. Tambay kami dun sa booth for about 10mins thinking of other places to go when the lady announced na may nagopen na 9PM schedule so yey! we bought tickets na agad2x not realizing na 1140PM ang bus schedule namin pabalik ng SG ha! taking into consideration ang travel time to KL sentral + train to TBS mukhang sakto pero bawal kami matraffic haha.
so while waiting for our 3PM trip, naglunch muna kami sa Sentral mall.
Before 2:30, nandun na kami sa waiting ng bus, we asked the person in charge whether pwede na kami sumakay ng bus but she said sa next pa daw kami upon checking our tickets.
But then nung paalis na yung 230PM na bus tinawag kami and pinasakay na din since there are available seats pa naman.
We reached Genting Skyway Lower station after an hour ng travel. Konti lang ang queue so nakasakay kami agad ng Cable Car.
This is my 3rd time in Genting and wala naman ako gano expectations. Si hubby casino lang ang plano. Nagpunta kami sa First World hotel para sa free shuttle to Chin Swee Temple.
While waiting for the next shuttle, kape muna kami sa Starbucks sa First World Hotel.
5PM kami nakaskay sa shuttle and around 10mins lang yung layo nung Temple.
First time ko puntahan ang temple na to and in fairness, maganda naman yung lugar, added itinerary in Genting! stayed for an hour then balik na ulit kami sa Resorts World.
Nag casino kami sandali, nanalo ng 60RM (pang dinner din!).
Dinner at Marybrown, by 8PM nasa Lower station na ulit kami and although 9PM pa yung bus namin, nakasakay kami sa 8PM na bus pabalik ng KL Sentral.
Nagenjoy naman kami sa Genting, very nice ang weather at around 18deg.
Balik KL Sentral, do some last minute shopping sa Sentral mall then took the KTM Komuter going to TBS.
Maaga naman kami nakarating sa TBS for our bus trip to SG pero nadelay din ang alis.
Left TBS at 12MN and reached SG at 330AM. super bilis lang ng byahe sa madaling araw!
Enjoy naman yung 2 days KL trip namin kahit Petronas at Genting lang kami namasyal. Food trip lang sa Jalan Alor solved na kami.
