^ Some items are cheaper here in KL esp. now that year end sale is ongoing until 3rd January ata.

Genting kasi closed nga sa outdoor theme park plus dahil nag-uuulan in the afternoon, medyo hassle magpunta don, kasi parang umaakyat ng Baguio.  Nothing much naman sa indoor theme park, except Snow World, Ripleys etc. plus mall din but you can do your shopping here in KL na mismo.

Putrajaya is ok if you are into those architectural designs and stuff.  You have to book a cab to go with the Putrajaya tour anyway.

Sa February pa naman trip namin sis.. Palagay ko mas mura mag shop in KL than SG no? Hehe

Pwede na ba i-skip Genting sis? If ever 'di kami tumuloy, ano pwede namin puntahan na iba pa?

^ it depends kung ano ang plan niyo, if like Genting na theme park, you can go to Sunway lagoon here in KL.

Sisses, safe ba ang KL for solo female traveler? May marecommend ba kayong budget hostel na malapit lang sa mrt/lrt nila? Thank you!

Marami na rin tayong sisses na nakapag-solo travel sa KL and as per their experience safe naman ang KL for female solo traveller.

I've been to KL for 4 times with a companion, recent trip was last 1st week of December 2015 but personally, i will not yet consider KL to be my destination for my solo travel. Hehe! Di ko alam pero there's a feeling deep inside of me that I won't be safe in KL alone. Hehe!

^^ sis, you can check out yong Rainforest B&B or yong Lodge Paradize Hotel which is just off Raja Chulan Monorail station.  If you are going solo, you just stay na lang sa city center area.  Yong friend ko nag-solo travel din siya and she stayed sa Chinatown area, ok naman.

I'm still undecided pa kung mag solo or not ako, it will be my birthday gift for myself sana. I did some researched about traveling solo in Malaysia and read some incidents about riding in tandems and bag snatching. Bigla akong natakot, kainis.

For the meantime pag-iisipan ko muna ng mabuti.

^ those will mostly be sa mga di crowded na place.  but within the city center mismo, ok naman.  just be vigilant na lang if you decide to go solo   for me, mas safe dito kesa manila

Sisses, pa-help please. Next month na ang trip namin at ngayon pa lang akong nagffinalize ng iti. Mag SG pa sana kami kaso sayang travel time, sulitin na lang namin MY. 4 able adults kami so walking around is pretty much not a hassle.

Iti ko for now:

Day 2

Day 3
Batu Caves + Genting (optional) + Putrajaya + shopping in KL

Questions po:
1. Saan kami sasakay ng bus (or train?) to Melaka and pabalik?
2. Kung skip namin ang Genting on Day 3, kaya pa ba mag city tour in KL? How much ang usual rate for taxi tour?
3. If mag train kami to Putrajaya, how much ang rate ng bus tour (kung meron pa ito) or taxi tour?
4. Sa Melaka kaya ba i-DIY ang sites or kailangan din namin mag-hire ng tour service?

Sorry ang daming tanong. Have tried searching for answers in Google but outdated na most of the info na nakita ko. TIA!

Edited: Additional question po, do we have to buy a card for a train pass or no need na as in we can buy tickets sa train stations mismo?

Hi mga Sis.

We will be travelling in KL May 20-23 pa naman but I just want to have some clear itinerary as of now.

Will be staying sa Parkroyal Hotel Bukit Bintang.

How to go there from KLIA2 via train?

Will be at Genting Highlands na din in this trip.

Iniisip ko dun sa isang day pa namin ano ba mas sulit Sunway Lagoon or yung Colmar Tropicale? Pwede bang halfday langColmar? Para sana isingit ko un before kami mag city tour.

How many hours ba travel time and pano kami makarating dun? Pinagpipilian ko kasi alin ang pwd namin maisingit between the two.

Please advise sa mga sis natin. Tia!

sis ohcmon, here's my reply:

1. going to Melaka, ang bus station is in Bandar tasik selatan station ng LRT.  From Bukit Bintang, sakay kayo ng monorail to Hang Tua.  Then sa Hang Tua, sakay kayo ng Sri Petaling line then baba kayo sa Tasik Selatan station.  Note na yong line ng Sri Petaling, 2 ang train line na dumadaan don, Ampang and Sri Petaling.  Make sure na Sri Petaling ang sasakyan niyo.  Else, take a cab.

2. I would say you can skip Genting kasi the Outdoor Theme Park is still closed for renovation.  Masyadong cramped ang schedule mo sis if you want to add ang KL city tour.  I would suggest start early for the Batu Caves kasi mainit na pag mga bandang 9am.  Pwedeng mag-ikot konti sa KL, lunch then sa bandang afternoon mag-Putrajaya kayo.  Medyo unpredictable lang ngayon ang weather kasi sa umaga sobrang init, then minsan uulan sa hapon.  Taxi tour, depende sis kasi hindi naman lahat ng taxis nagpapa-tour.  Baka nga singilin din kayo ng mahal.  Unless you really want to book a tour agency or maybe use the KL hop on hop off to tour the city.

3. not sure on the rate now ng bus and if there is still a bus tour kasi nag-change sila ng mga bus nos. and bus/lrt rates.  Pero alam ko me taxi tour pa rin sa Putrajaya, not sure na lang how much na ngayon ang rate.  Dati ata nasa RM45 per hour or pero me nabasa ako na nasa RM130 ata if 2 hrs. 

4. meron iba na perdeng  i-DIY.  yong mga officemate ko nag-taxi lang going from one place to another although pwede siguro lakarin pero mainit kasi  

Regarding the train tickets, me mga ticket machines na sa mga train stations.  If you don't have small change, pwede kayo magpa-change sa counter.

sis istine0618, here's my reply to you naman:

From KLIA2, take the train to KL sentral.  From KL sentral, take the monorail until Raja Chulan station.  Go down sa side ng Hotel Istana, walk to Hotel Istana and sa gilid niya away from the main street, Park Royal na yon.

Colmare Tropicale mahirap mag-half day, pwede whole day kasi yong shuttle going to Colmare kasi is umaga ang papunta don then starting from 4pm onwards alam ko pabalik ng KL sa hapon.  Shuttle is in Berjaya Time Square and mas maganda if you book for the ticket.  You can find more info on their site (http://www.colmartropicale.com.my/services.php)

Pag Colmare, nasa 2 hrs ang travel time kasi outside of KL na yon and medyo para kang papuntang Baguio yong way don.  If Sunway Lagoon, nasa KL ka pa rin non.  You can go there by taking a cab.

Regarding Putrajaya tour, this is what we did last December 2015:

1.) From KL Sentral, bought ticket at KLIA counter going to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya station. Fare that time is RM 9 per pax per way. Basta pagbaba namin ng KL Sentral is nasa right side yung klia counter then yung train station is left side ng counter ang entrance.

2.) Pagdating ng Putrajaya and Cyberjaya station, paglabas nyo turn right and sa tabi ng maybank atm is ang Pejabat Operasi counter where we bought our ticket for Putrajaya Tour for RM 20 per pax. Sasabihin sa inyo ang direction going to the Putrajaya bus station.

3.) From Pejabat Operasi walk straight then turn left then may escalators going down then sa baba, platform 6 that time ang Putrajaya bus.

4.) The bus driver will also be your tour guide. He will give you brochure of the tour. Honestly, hindi nasunod lahat ng stops sa brochure pero okay lang sulit pa rin kasi yung top attractiona naman is napuntahan.

1st stop is yung bridge then yung pink mosque, if you will enter the mosque, there's a counter on the right side after the entrance where u can borrow suit (mahabang damit na covered k from head to toe). Don't forget also to bring a ponytail because sisitahin ka if labas ang hair or nakabagsak. Hehe!

Finance building stop, may itinuto samin yung guide namin na parang mercato or banchetto dito satin. Sobrang sulit ng food. Ang mura. Kakatuwa talaga! Mahihiya ang presyo and quality ng foods sa Jalan Alor. Hehe!

^ Sunway Lagoon is more of a theme park with rides, and all.  Across the lagoon is the mall (SUnway Pyramid). 

Colmare Tropical naman is more on the scenery, though walang masyadong gagawin.  Meron don Japanese Botanical Garden.  Not many choices of food also.  Check mo yong site nila.  So depende kung ano ang feel niyo ni hubby.  Colmare will be more romantic for me

@phurple0515 - Thanks sis! From BB gaano katagal ang travel time to the bus station to Melaka? Also, if ever mag hire kami ng taxi for KL tour, kaya na ba siya ng around 2 hrs? Mukhang matagal kasi kung mag HOHO kami, baka hindi na kami makapag Putrajaya sa hapon. 

At saka meron ba sis maps na pwede makuha sa airport?

@omneecka - Thanks sis, big help! If ever we opt na mag taxi tour, meron din bang station sa Putrajaya for that? 4 pax kasi kami, kung mag bus tour kami parang konti na lang dagdag namin for taxi if ever di ba?

^  From BB to Tasik Selatan, travel time around 30 mins di kasama don timing ng train and if it's peak hours or not.  KL tour, again, it depends sa time kasi usually if within city area and if it's a Friday, then kukulangin ka sa 2 hrs esp. around the KL city proper.

meron atang maps sa airport sis.  bago lumabas ng arrival area.

Yes sis may mga taxi kaming nakita while around Putrajaya station di ko lang sure sis if sang exit yung taxi bay. For sure meron dun mag-ooffer ng tour. Not sure lang if how much the rate and duration of the tour.

^^ and ^ thanks mga sis! Push na namin Putrajaya. Will be going with my parents and my dad is an engineer so he'll like the buildings. Pinakita ko photos sa kanya kasi 'di siya convinced na maraming pwedeng ikutan sa Malaysia, buti nagbago isip.

Also, Sunway Lagoon na lang daw kami instead of Melaka. Madali lang ba going there by train? Magkano kaya aabutin ng fare kung mag taxi kami from BB?

^ hindi kasi along train station ang Sunway sis.  there is no nearby train station din.  usually, nag-ta-taxi kami papunta don.  pag sa BB manggagaling, baka around Rm20 rin.  Sa amin ganon pero highway kasi daan namin.  Depende sa traffic pa rin sis.  Ginagawa kasi yong new MRT line along Sunway tska yong bagong highway.
