check mo rin kung andito ka ng travel period.  usually kasi ang delivery nila is 15 days from purchase, etc.  wala silang pickup?

i'm going to KL for a business trip in October, then extending for 3 nights under personal account para makapag-gala.

hindi ako mahilig sa bars, nightlife and shopping. ang primary consideration ko for a hotel is walking distance to a major transport (i.e., monorail, LRT) and sana may malapit na hawker center. hehe. ganun kasi trip ko. budget ko is 4K-5K/night.

una kong naisip na area is Bukit Bintang kaso yung mga nabasa kong hotels eh puro malapit sa bars/nightlife. meron bang sa hawker malapit? hahaha! parang sa KLCC area, wala masyadong hawker so sa Bukit Bintang na nga siguro ang pipiliin kong area.

^ you can check out Park royal sis.  It's near monorail station, near everything.  Don din namin pinapabook mga officemates namin.  Now if you want other options, marami sa Bukit Bintang area, me mga mura din don but quite good.

ok naman ata yan sis, nakikita ko from the office ng client.  madaming kainan kasi nga central market area.

1 Night lang kami sa KL, tapos 9am ang bus sched namin to SG the next day.

3 major attractions na lang mapupuntahan namin:
1. Titiwangsa Park
2. Bukit Bintang
3. Petronas Towers

Can we still squeeze in more attractions? Or okay na rin naman po yan?

at last, nakapili na ko! Wolo Bukit Bintang, which is close to the station and right in front of Lot 10 Hutong! woot woot!

ok now my next quest is to find the best hawker stalls in Lot 10 Hutong and to find other good hawker centers aside from Lot 10 Hutong. if you have recos, please share! i'm a crazy hawker foodie! hahaha!

@ meimei: Hi! Bukit Bintang is the place to be, sis! Within walking distance lang sa Jalan Alor (food street) -- 550 meters or 7-10 minutes na lakad. My mom and her colleagues are there at the moment. I was tasked to prepare their itinerary, look for an accommodation, and book their flights. They're staying in Bedara 38 Service Apartments in Jalan Bedara, right across Hotel Istana. It's a 2-bedroom condominium unit that can house 6 guests comfortably. The building has gym facilities, restaurants, and a swimming pool.

Ang pinakamaganda? 'Yung presyo.

4,900 lang per night!

Visit Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, Legoland in Johor Bahru and Universal Studios in Singapore

Will be visiting KL for the second time this June. Will be staying in the Bukit Bintang area. Shopping and sightseeing lang.

anyone going to Batu Caves, I suggest you go there early morning or late afternoon kasi medyo mainit na don ng mga 9 or 10 am.  not much to see din naman sa mismong caves.

@meimei: Yes, mura nga! I actually had second thoughts when I was booking it. Kasi diba ang mura? Sabi ko baka may catch ito. Baka marumi or run-down na 'yung lugar. Relieved and pleasantly surprised naman ako when my mom told me it was one of the better accommodations I've booked for her trips. Nakakatuwa!  Ang babaw ko. It's nice to find a clean, modern place to stay when you're out of the country. Pero ang pinaka-bonus ay 'yung mabait na may-ari who really went out of his way to attend to the needs of my mom and her colleagues.

They also hired a van for their 1-day excursion. Kung tama ang pagkakaintindi ko, they went to Batu caves early in the morning like what @phurple0515 suggested. Then they dropped by Genting Highlands after. Tapos pumunta rin sila sa strawberry farm yata. On their way back, idinaan sila sa Petronas para makita nila na lit 'yung building. The taxi driver is Pinoy. And they paid him RM 350 (~PhP 4,360) para sa isang buong araw. Considering the distance they've covered and the convenience of having their own transpo, I think it was a pretty good deal na. 

Good choice, kay_m. Well-recommended ang Bukit Bintang ng GT travelers! Do not forget to eat good Malaysian food, too! 

I remember this eatery lang in Central Market (back in 2008) na iba ang sistema when it comes to food pricing. Ang binabayaran doon eh yung variety ng ulam na pinili mo and not the quantity. The more ulam you get, the more chances of winning. LOL! Ang ginawa namin para mabusog sa pinakamurang paraan, bumili kami ng kanin tapos dinamihan namin ng kuha ng Beef Rendang. 'Yun na yata ang pinakasulit na Beef Rendang na nakain ko sa tanang buhay ko! hehe!

^is their transport system as convenient as SG's? or is it more similar to Pinas? in any case, since solo ako, pagtiya-tiyagaan ko talaga ang public transport whichever case it is. hahahaha!

my main purpose of going there is for a business trip. mag-extend lang ako under my personal account para makapag-gala. pero pinag-iisipan ko pa how long i should extend (cost-benefit analysis given onti na lang natitirang VLs, hahaha! so mas tricky kasi iniisip ko how worthy is each day's stay to dedicate my very limited VLs to it. hahaha!).

at first, i was planning to extend 3 nights, but currently thinking about cutting it to 2 nights. bahala na, matagal pa naman, late October. hay sana walang bagyo!

^ sis, to rank it, 1st ang HK, then 2nd SG, 3rd ang KL...

but now me mga interchange stations na to link one line from another.  ang di lang convenient esp. pag sa monorail is pagbaba from the station, most stations don't have escalators kahit nga ata paakyat e.  yong mga main destinations lang alam ko meron (like Hang Tua, Raja Chulan)
