Hi mga sisses, I'm already thinking about entering an investment fund sa BPI (kasi BPI ang savings account ko).

Just want to ask anong klaseng UITF ang pinakai-inaavail? Also gusto ko din ienrol dun sa RSP na mala EIP ng BDO.

^ Hi sis, based on what I learned, this depends on your goal. What is your purpose, timeline and target.

But here are some of the things you should know about those funds you mentioned.

Short-Term and Money Market Fund - Most liquid and shortest term sa lahat. Low risk.
Bond Fund - invested in debt securities usually long-term since bonds
Balanced - invested both in debt and equity securities (bonds and stocks)
High Dividends and Equity Value - invested in equity securities (stocks)
Kapag daw may term na index it means it is invested in US treasury or market.
Basta kapag may bonds sa term - invested in debt securities yun same with fixed income. Kaya sinabi fixed dahil from interest siya nanggagaling which is usually ay fixed on debt securities or mga pautang.

^thanks sis! actually, nareview ko na itong mga ito last time. Hinanap ko yung notes ko (haha). i am actually leaning towards sa high risk, high return investments ngayon but not stocks. so, choices ko are BPI Philippine Equity Index Fund, BPI Equity Value Fund and BPI Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund. Ano kaya jan sa tatlo?

Update lang and rant na din.  I was able to open an account with BPI to subscribe to their BPI Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund. I have an account with BPI Family Savings but since magkaiba daw sila, pinagopen nila ako ng BPI Savings Account para maging settlement account ko with them. Hinahabol ko yung pagbagsak ng market but since nagkakaprob ako sa schedule ko to visit the bank last Dec22 lang ako nakapagopen which is supposedly Dec19 sana. Ang consequence ko for not having BPI Savings Account is that 1 day processing ng settlement account ko then the next day pa ang subscription sa UITF. I accepted that naman and naging thankful pa ako kasi from Dec19 to Dec22, bumaba pa ang market.

My concern now is this...i got my ATM card today, Dec28. and I just found out na hindi pala sila nakapagsubscribe ng investment ko last week. System Maintenance DAW. Offline DAW. huhuhu. They will TRY DAW to subscribe tomorrow with tomorrow's rate na and i told them na sana maipasok nila yung investment ko right away. And hoping ako na hindi na umabot for 2017 rate (last working day for 2016 tom). Pataas na ulit ang market ngayon, we will never know what will happen but i am kinda certain na "window dressing" period na. haaays. nakakadisappoint lang. I know hindi million ang ipinasok ko sakanila pero hindi kasi nila naideliver ng maayosyung request ko.

Isa pa, palaging down ang online site nila. hays.

nakaopen na ako ng uitf noong 31.. then now ko lang( feb 2) nakita sa online na account ko na andun na yung investment..pero bakit zero pa?kasi 10k yung pinasok ko .nakita ko andun pa sa settlement account ko hindi pa nababawas?.
any inputs po?bago ako tumawag sa branch..saka nga pala iienroll ko ba yung investment account ko or automatic na yun since nakita ko na siya sa online account ko.salamat .

Hindi rin all the time na bank anywhere ang bangko na ito.

Tulad ng pagpalit ng instruction sa settlement account ng investment fund ko. Need ko pang pumunta sa branch of account para magrequest na ipapalit ang settlement account (kasi nag-close na yung dating settlement account). At dahil based na ako sa ibang lugar, hindi na convenient sa akin na pumunta pa sa branch of account para mapalitan pa ito.
