hi mga sis ok po ba ang BPI Equity Value Fund? Ok po ba ang performance nya? sino po dito nakainvest na dito pa feedback naman po mga sis.

Kailangan ba personal na mag-apply for UITF or pwede through BPI online? Nung minsan nagpunta ako BPI, hindi nila daw ni-rerecommend yung trust fund. Pero siguro kase mas gusto nila maka-benta ng bancassurance products nila

^nope, For UITF, bago ako pumunta doon mismo sa bank , nagpaprint muna ako ng nafill out ko na form via BPI Online (UITF investments),then ibibigay yun sakanila..

@red_yesha : Hmmm... kala ko pag nagpunta ka sa BPI iaaccommodate nila pag nga ask ka na willing to invest, starting at 10k sa website ko nakita is not bad.... Try ko nga... Im torn between security and BPI...

actually dati nung napadayo ako sa bpi (for some reasons) nagtanong na rin ako doon sa isang personnel. Sabe nya, mag fill out daw muna ako ng form doon sa bpi online,wala silang forms.She advised me na after kong magpaprint, pumunta daw ako sa branch nila ng mas maaga. kasi may cut off daw which is 11am. I'm not quite sure kung applicable yun sa lahat ng branch. So kinuha ko nalang yung contact # nung mismong knowledgable sa UITF(naka leave daw).Hindi kasi lahat sa kanila ay marunong magprocess nun.

@twenty5 nasilaw ako sa 40% gain ng security bank dati kaya dun ako nag-open. Yun nga lang, hindi maganda ang performance nila ngayun. Negative pa rin sa kin pero barya pa lang naman. Medyo nakakadismaya lang. Sana sa BPI na lang ako nag-open.

I've been checking kasi and thinking of SB and BPI though hindi naman in a rush kasi hirap din mag jump bigla... I'll still try to search and better knowledge rather than sige lang ng sige.

Ako rin kakaopen lang ng funds sa SB kaso negative kami ni hubby haha. Ok lang, naka park lang naman yun dun.

Mga sis, iba pa ba yung money market? Na information overload na ako, haha. Pasuggest naman please ng ok na investment fund, park ko lang sana yung money instead na ibayad ko agad sa condo. Sayang din kikitain kasi..

^^I think you mean 11.73%, sis, that is BPI's High Dividend Equity Fund's return year-to-date. Approx. 49% was Security Bank's Peso Equity Fund's astounding return for the year 2014.

kaiz: All of BPI's funds except for the ones under ALFM have no holding periods, so there are no fees even if you redeem within less than a month.

aquamomma: The ALFM funds that you can get through BPI have a minimum investment of 5k. Just think of a UITF as a fund where people pool their money together and give the entire amount to a professional fund manager to invest/grow. You leave everything to the fund manager, and you just pay him a small amount (usually 1-2% management fee) for his knowledge/skills.

jspydrej: If you believe that the market will go to 9,000 or even 10,000 (as what was printed in the newspapers when President Noynoy rang the opening bell on the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday), then now is still a good time to invest in an equity fund. The BPI Equity Value Fund is the top-performing fund this 2015, but historically, it has always been a laggard. Change in managers/strategy or just sheer dumb luck on BPI's part? No idea.

crzysxycl: Money market funds are very low risk, very conservative funds. Mataas na yung 2% return for this type of funds, but you can count on not losing your capital and not going negative. This is recommended if you just want to park money that you will be using soon (within a year or less).
