I have 3 UITFs sa BPI: equity, bond at short term. So far so good. I like how convenient online banking is for BPI

i have 1 uitf lang sis. last last month pa yun pero til now wala pang CoP na binigay saakin. di ko rin ma view online. bakit kaya?

BPI's dividend and equity funds are topping this year because they are invested in the leading blue chip stocks for 2015, namely URC, ALI, and SM. Very sound and safe play, but too safe for my taste.

On the other hand, the leading equity fund last year, which is Security Bank's Peso Equity Fund, is taking speculative plays this year that might be too speculative for my liking. Their performance now is being pulled down by their nickel (Nickel Asia) and gaming stocks (Bloomberry and Premier Leisure Corp). I am confident in nickel and it should pick up sometime April-June, but I am not so happy with the gaming plays. They also lightened their position in DNL, a consumer stock favorite, and the fact that DNL flew these past few weeks proved that they made a very wrong move. But they did guess correctly in MAXS -- MAXS is one of the highest and earliest flyers of 2015.

Hi tanong ko lang po ok po ba ang alfm peso bond fund, close kasi yung phil stock index fund. Ano po ba ok na uitf equity?

^ Kaka redeem ko lang nung ALFM Peso Bond Fund ko. Sobrang bagal ng progress eh. Kung Long Term ka, mag UITF ka na ng BPI or pag nag bukas na ulit 'yung ALFM Growth Fund nila.
