Pag nag register ba sa Uber, need ng credit card? I'll try sana Uber if ever walang available na Grab.

debit card (eon from unionbank) ang ginagamit ko since takot ako ma over charge sa credit card or ma hack pag mga online/mobile transactions. one time nag uber ako from ortigas lang to qc kaso ma traffic p308 ang bill ko. i didn't use my debit card and uber for a few months. nung gagamitin ko na ulit i was asked to pay P308 kasi not enough funds na pala debit card ko.

during that time i tried creating a new uber account using a different phone with different sim card. kasi 1am na yun too late na wala nang bank. pero nung nag register ako hinanapan ako ng credit card. e ayoko gamitin talaga yung credit card ko. walang ibang option e kailangan talaga may credit/debit card na naka register. i ended up using grabcar that time.

nung nag deposit ako sa debit card ko ni-settle ko na rin yung balance sa uber. upon booking an uber car may option doon na you can pay in cash or the existing card.

paano ba ang system dito pag may sinabing price si uber yun na ang babayaran mo fix na? kasi diba usually sa uber estimate lang. it could get higher pa depende sa traffic?

UberPool is fixed rate na - what you see in the app na calculated fare is yun ang iccharge sa yo. Kahit mag-isa ka lang going to your destination, kung nag-opt ka for uberpool, fixed rate na.

For regular uberx, naka-range pa din - but not a guarantee that the upper limit is yung max na talaga, lalo na pag biglang nagtraffic on the way

i use grab car more often kasi fixed rate siya. pag sinabing p120 yun na talaga kahit ma traffic ka or mabagal mag drive si manong driver unlike uber pansin ko sinasadya nila bagalan kasi may per minute e. lalo na kung yung place mo alam nilang hindi naman madami ang sumasakay ng uber. kahit mas mahal tignan sa grab pag nag compare, pero at least yun na talaga ang babayaran mo.

pero now dahil sa uberpool parang gusto ko na yun kung fixed. very ideal siya pag malayo ang pupuntahan.

^ Make sure ha na di ka nagmamadali pag mag-uberpool ka. the second time nag-pool ako, nadagdagan ng 1hr yung biyahe ko kaya di ko muna sya ittry ng mon-sat.

re per minute charges, ang pag explain sa akin is parang sa taxi na papatak lang yung oras pag nakatengga, i.e. stuck in traffic. kanina around 10am grab was php370 from house to ofc, while the estimated fare on uber was 190-210 (no surge), pero dahil matraffic katipunan-c5, final fare was 240. pero pag may 1.5x surge or greater, nagggrab na ako.

uber drivers don't have the incentive yata na magbagal kase while they have a passenger, hindi sila makakatanggap ng bago, unless may malapit sa destination na nagbook (in that case makikita mo na "your driver is completing a trip near you" kemer). sa grab drivers naman ang pansin ko is they don't go for the long way na faster route kesyo gas consumption daw and all, and dun sila sa shorter-kahit-na-mas-matagal-ang-biyahe route.

She was able to register naman without a card sis, a few days ago lang kasi pinilit namin mag Uber dahil puro Grab siya haha.

^how did she do it kaya? di kasi ako makapag proceed because I am being asked for CC details eh takot ako hehe, so I removed the app na lang. Grab pa rin gamit ko, would like to try Uber sana eh.

@And1moon i don't know most uber na nasakyan ko mabagal mag drive e. Baka na tyempo lang. And parati ang mahal ng fare ko.

@ohcmon not possible sis. I tried again sa other phone ko kanina since you said pwede. after mag register next step is ask for credit card. You cannot proceed kung wala ka ma provide na card. You can even try it yourself.

Hindi naman sa nakikipag argue i just want readers here to know para di na masayang time nila kung wala naman sila credit card.

I was able to register naman sa Uber without CC.. wala naman akong CC talaga..

^Initially, Uber requires a credit card as payment option. But an upgrade came, and now they're offering cash-basis. So no need to input your credit card details anymore.

Meron ba dito na may Eastwest Basic Savings account? Yung may Visa Debit Card thing. Pwede ba gamitin yung for Uber internationally? Haha never tried Uber ever.

I keep adding my cc in grab pero my app keeps shutting down after I input it and when I reopen the app, wala ulit. sayang yung weekend promo with the card

Uber - I love Uber since kapag normal days, the fare is really cheap. Pinapatos ko hanggang 2x na surge.
Grab - Ang gusto ko dito eh fixed yung fare. Kaso napapansin ko, kahit hindi traffic, laging naka-high demand pag peak hours. Tapos depende sa lugar. And pag icheck ko naman yung Uber, walang surge. So nagtataka ako sa algorithm ng Grab app. Lumalabas na mas mahal pa sya sa Uber.

I use purely uber now. Sobrang mahal na sa grab. Now i got a text from grab for a hundred off. Will try it tonight. Haha.

First time kong gumamit ng grab taxi for our airport transfer and happy kami ni hubby. Nung una kabado pa ako kung makakakuha ng taxi at 3am pero sobrang mahal na ng Nissan taxi at php620! Sobrang holdap na! Anyway wala pang 5 minutes after ako mag-book meron na kaming nakuha. We only paid php190 including booking fee and tip. Laking diprensya! Now I'm a convert!

Buti na lang din pinayagan na ang regular taxis including grab and uber sa airport! Thank you boss Ed!

Na try ko mag Uber hop recently. Alabang to Parañaque area so super traffic. Pero 90pesos lang ang fare tapos wala naman iba sumakay. Sulit Altho parang lugi dun yung driver, kaya siguro mag cancel yung unang driver.
