^^akala ko yung booking fee napupunta sa Grabtaxi mismo (yung gumawa ng software)? tapos yung tip ang extra ng cab drivers tutal may sure pasareho na sila because of the app. kalokohan na hindi nila alam ang promos e may cellphone sila. buti na lang hindi ako nagga-grabtaxi kasi maiinis ako kapag ganyan halatang nanloloko.

^^^ sis, report them to GrabTaxi. Kasi ilang beses ko na din nagamit ang HappyPiso, wala naman problem. And nakausap ko din drivers, sabi nila they will still get their share of the supposed booking fee, Grab will pay them, instead na ang pasahero.

in fairness sa Uber Support, mabilis mag-reply sa email inquiry. i sent an inquiry sa website nila about dun sa verification code that i failed to type in, tapos kinabukasan may email reply na na they verified my account na for me.

@quinone: As far as I know sis may share ang taxi driver sa booking fee. So they get regular taxi fare + share ng booking fee + any additional tip. Iyon ang pagkakaintindi ko, but I may be wrong. May nasakyan kasi ako dati na Easy Taxi driver and iyan sinabi nya. Sabi nya as much as possible gusto nyang kinukuha na pasahero part ng Easy Taxi instead of getting a random pasahero, kasi mas malaki na ang kita and sa simula pa lang alam na nya ang destination ng pasahero. May nasakyan din ako dati na Easy Taxi driver, kinuha daw nya ako kasi daw familiar na sya sa pupuntahan ko.

@bagaholic_chewy: Baka minalas lang ako. I'm glad to hear maganda experience mo sa HappyPiso promo. Gusto ko talaga sila gamitin uli para makakuha ng free movie ticket sa SM, para no booking fee na, libre sine pa.

Did anyone notice the sudden increase in fares for GrabCar? I think they're trying to compensate for their losses. I was so shocked to see my fare kanina. I use Grabcar everyday, and I usually just pay P350 but kanina I was charged P550. Yung less P200 from the promo code was offset lang by the ridiculous price increase. Is this even allowed by DTI? Very very misleading.

^true! ang mahal ng grabcar! was supposed to take one from glorietta to mckinley earlier but changed my mind when i saw the price. i was quoted 298, eh sobrang lapit lang kaya nun! yesterday, my bill was only 234, that's a discrep of 64 din.

Wow, nagmahal nga ang GrabCar! I made a mock booking just now, same route I took last week. Last week, it was just php198 (kaya tip for driver na php100 na lang ginastos ko), now it's php368! Exxag naman!

Disappointing. Wag na sila mag-promo kung ija-jack up din naman pala nila ang fare. Tsk tsk.

I raised a query with their support team. I asked if the new rates are for real or kung may error lang ba sa system. P550 from Fort to QC grabe naman. Loyal pa naman ako sa kanila :/ But I guess it's their prerogative din to increase/decrease their rates. Oh well. Regular cab nalang muna siguro ako. Apparently, a LOT of people abused the P200 off promo kasi esp yung mga short distances lang.

mga sis. enlighten me on this... di ba sa grabcar since walang meter eh kung ano yung lalabas na amount pag nag book ka (or kahit mock booking pa lang) is that is the actual amount you have to pay? bakit may nabasa ako dun sa earlier posts na may plus / minus pa sa amount? If so, paano mo malalaman kung how much talaga exact na ibabayad mo?

^ once you start plotting your route, me lalabas na amount, say 278. Once you confirm your booking, and me driver nag-accept, lalabas na yung final amount (which, in my experience is about +/-10 from the original quote). Itetext and ieemail din ng Grab yung amount na babayaran mo.. then discretion mo na yung tip for the driver.

Finally tried Uber this week, and I'm one satisfied customer. Tried both UberX and BlackCar.

^ that news really saddens me, if ever gawi  nga ng LTFRB. It's all over Twitter. LTFRB made daw a "sting operation" yday. LTFRB personnel booked an Uber ride, then accosted the driver. Owner made to pay 200k, then vehicle may be impounded for 3months daw.

Hay naku, for sure taxi operators ang nag-lobby nyan sa LTFRB kasi nabawasan kita nila dahil sa Uber. E kasi naman, nakakatakot naman din talaga, especially for us women, na basta-basta sumakay ng taxi sa daan. Madami pa reklamador at nangongontratang taxi drivers.

naku. ako rin nalungkot diyan sa news regarding uber. mukhang medyo delikado rin diyan yun grabcar kase private vehicles din ang gamit. grabe talaga. sana kesa pag initan nila ang uber eh mag isip sila ng paraan to make our public transportation especially the taxis safe and dapat maging strict sila sa taxi operators na i-train ng mabuti ang mga drivers nila at kailangan may sanction sa kanila kapag may mga drivers na barumbado at nangongontrata.

I really noticed na konti nalang ang Uber cars because of fear of getting entrapped by LTFRB. My friend tried to book, inaccept naman siya but the driver texted him "Sir, di ka naman taga LTFRB no?" Nakakalungkot. I also tried booking last friday afternoon pero zero black cars tapos 2.5 surge pricing for UberX cars. Impossible yan dahil based on experience madami talagang Uber cars at the Fort. We all just want a safe ride home. Grabe ang corruption sa LTFRB. Curious lang din ako why they are targeting Uber and not Grabcar? Covered ba ng "taxi" license ang cars ni Grabcar?

ang kinakatakot ko is kung pati Easy Taxi and GrabTaxi ay pagdiskitihan nila - maghihimagsik na talaga ko! kasi mas maiintindihan ko pa kung bakit gusto nila ipatigil ang Uber kasi nga walang franchise for public transport.

eh basahin niyo yung article below re Easy Taxi and GrabTaxi. ang concern nila ay yung sa "additional charge"... so what?! eh kung willing naman bayaran nung pasahero yung booking fee! kasi kung ayaw ng pasahero magbayad ng booking fee, aba eh di mag-abang siya ng taxi! wala namang pumipilit sa pasahero na mag-book sa Easy Taxi/GrabTaxi. pero yung mga taong willing magbayad ng booking fee, bakit magiging issue pa yun?! grrrrrr!! sobra na to!!

kahit "malinis" kuno ang intention ng LTFRB na they're considering paano i-regulate yung "additional charge", naku nawalan na ko ng tiwala sa LTFRB no! feeling ko nga, gusto lang nila ng cutback and under-the-table!

Ang gusto naman ni husband na feature ng Uber e yung nachicheck nya progress ng trip ko. So alam nya saan dumaan, kung saan exact location at a time, ETA and kung nakarating na ako. I always send him kasi my trip details via the "share" feature.

Last Friday, ang hirap makabook. Tapos me surge pa sa rate.. kaya abang-abang talaga ako. The moment me lumabas na available, either UberX or BlackCar, e confirm agad ako ng booking..

Isa din yan sa observations ko sa Grabtaxi, kahit ang daming available, walang pumipickup ng booking. Pero pag nag-indicate ka ng "tip" upon booking e tsaka lang tatanggapin. Sa Uber naman, most of the drivers don't expect a tip. Ilang times din na medyo nagulat si driver na me inaabot ako, and sincere ang thank you. Sa Grab, nag-tip ka na and all, minsan wala man lang kahit thank you.

Anyway, re ltfrb; ano plano nilang regulation ng top-up fare? Baka gusto lang nila me cut din sila sa booking fee. Annoying. Kung laging safe lang sana pumara ng random taxi sa kalsada, di naman papatok ang mga taxi booking services e. Ang kaso, madaming mga g**ong taxi drivers sa daan kaya nakakatakot din, esp sa mga babae. At least sa booking services, me info ng driver kahit papano and recorded ang trip.

hindi ko din magets ang pagdadamot ng mga taxi operator sa mga uber drivers, e sila kahit wala silang grabtaxi and easytaxi makakakuha ng pasahero pero sa uber kailangan may apps muna sa phone bago sila magkapasahero minsan tambay mode pa sila ng matagal bago makakuha ng pasahero
