I was here last April for two weeks only because we spent 1 week in VA and 1 week in NYC.  Hopefully we go back next year kasi medjo bitin.  Though sinumpa ko ang lamig.  Haha!    As always, nagka-sakit na naman ako while I was there dahil sa weather.

Niagara Falls is nice, though we didn't ride the boat.  Nag-outlet lang kami sa area at ang mahal ng Starbucks mug (for a friend)  Hotel-owned daw kasi.

^also, there is an additional tax levied to whatever you buy in the tourist area of Niagara aside from the already 13% tax added to your purchase kaya mas mahal.

my cousin offered to pay for me to visit niagara falls in a group tour. may kasama na ring hotel and food. kaso ang mahal! nahiya ako.
sabi ko, no offense, mas gusto ko na lang mag-spend kami ng time together.
did i miss a once-in-a-lifetime experience?

we go to Niagara on a whim, kung kelan maisipan. Baka this weekend, we might go there. I was just there for 2nights in March. who knows, we might go there when you vacation here, magka salubong tayo doon

hindi naman. actually, there are ways to go to Niagara on a budget. Accommodation can vary from low end to high end.  Marami rin pwede kainan around the area. How much is it exactly if you don't mind me asking?

if i remember correctly, mga $700 3d/2n tour package yun kasi mag-isa lang ako.hindi sila kasama at  may trabaho kasi sila.
i'm sure super ganda yung Niagara falls pero hindi kaya ng konsyensya ko na gastusan nila ako ng ganun kalaki. Sobrang ganda ba?

^hindi ko actually masabi if mahal yung package since I don't exactly know where you are going to come from. The accommodation, kasi some hotels/motels/inn meron na kasamang breakfast. A room can be about $300 or more. Or meron din less than $100/night depending on the season and depending on location. Summer usually its expensive. Transportation can be expensive if you coming from outside of Ontario.

Meron naman kasi ways na hindi naman ganyang kalaki gagastusinmo per person if you go to Niagara and you plan well.

What to see in Vancouver?
Do I need to apply for an ETA in addition to the tourist visa?

^There is a lot to see in Vancouver. It is a tourist spot talaga. I don't think you need to really have an ETA, just maybe mention the places that you wanna see. How may days are you staying in Vancouver?

We just came from Toronto and Montreal Canada yesterday and siiiis, ang ganda don. it was so fun kasi they were celebrating Canada 150th when we were there so andami sale and activities. It rained in the afternoon during our last two days in Montreal but that didn't stop the people to go out and still have fun.

We stayed in Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto and sadly we didn't enjoy the breakfast. Ok naman ang hotel, it's just a 5 minute walk to subway and the Ontario Museum.

We stayed naman in Hotel Gouvernor in Montreal. This hotel is not really new but the location is just perfect. Right next to the Village and very near sa subway ,restaurant and shops. walk walk nga lang kami to Saint Catherine and to downtown Montreal. Sarap ng weather.

Grabe ang shopping lang kasi all items are on sale sa mga malls when we were there. Super saya.

We rented a car going to Niagara Falls para hawak namin ang time .1 hr drive away lang naman yata yun from Toronto. Super basa kami sa boat cruise. I wanted to try the zip line but they they didn't accept me kasi it was kind of windy na. sayang nga. I didn't expect na ganon pala don. Andami activities rin.

Overall, I love Canada, ayoko na nga umuwi...hahahaha

Glad to hear Sis, planning on migrating there in 2-3 years, happy to know na madami din talaga activities, dami nga din ako relatives and grabe sa ganda ng mga views and tourist spots na pinopost nila. Madami din pala talaga magagawa and mapupuntahan, contrary sa steretype na boring sa Canada.

^^that is so true! andaming pwedeng mapuntahan dito sa Canada. There are different provinces, and lots of cities in each province. Imagine gano kadami pwedeng mapasyalan! Kaya uso dito long drives.

Visited Niagara/Toronto last May and we had so much fun! The hotel we stayed in was a mere 5-min walk to the falls. Ang dami pwede gawin around the area and lots of choices for food. But the thing I enjoyed the most was eating my favorite fruits from the Philippines-lanzones, atis, santo! (wala kasi dito sa mainland US). Also, do the Hornblower cruise! It's a must. Feeling ko hindi mo fully ma-appreciate yung falls if you don't do the boat cruise

When we went, hindi malamig during the day. It got cold by evening na and it was windy too. I wore a fleece jacket and sufficient naman.

We only have 4 days to spend in Vancouver, because we are joining Alaska cruise and availed of the promo and miles redemption from PAL (kaya na-adjust yung dates of stay namin). What are the sites not to be missed?

Besides tourist visas, do we need to secure anything else to enter Canada?

^If within Metro Vancouver, you can go to Grouse Mountain, Capilano Bridge, Vancouver Aquarium, Walk around Stanley Park. Gas town and Steveston too. Steveston is were they shoot Once Upon a Time. If you are willing to travel a bit, try to go on a daytrip to Victoria and see the Butchart Garden. Whistler is another place to visit but that is quite far din like Victoria.

Hi, my sister and I are planning to go to Toronto this Sept. Any suggestion on an affordable place to stay? I am checking our AirBnb, but anyone who can recommend a good place to stay. We are probably going to stay around 7 days.

if you are staying for 7days, just stay downtown for the convenience. check air bnb - hotels in downtown Toronto can be a bit expensive.

Do Toronto has train pass for tourist or MTR pass like HK which can be used in Trains, buses or other transportations?

^there is a weekly pass  and a daily pass that can be used when moving about around Toronto only.

there is also a GTA weekly pass - used to get around the Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga and the York region areas (city/suburbs outside of Toronto)
