^my mom just left a couple of days ago for NYC using greyhound bus from Toronto.
She has done this numerous times already, I have tried this as well and safe naman.

Greyhound is ok, as I've recommended before. Megabus is better pero mas bet ko pa nga ang greyhound kasi bus talaga sya na parang dito satin na provincial bus (although syempre iba pa rin sa US, may CR and charging outlet, at di humihinto kung saan saan), kesa sa Megabus na double decker bus. Not to be racist pero pansin ko lang na mas maraming black (and asian) ang sumasakay ng Greyhound, while sa Megabus, mas maraming white people. So, maybe, take this info from there if you will feel safer sa mga white people around. Pero parang ang bagal ng Megabus, maybe dahil double decker, sakin lang tong belief na to lol.

Add ko lang na ang Megabus, walang sariling terminal. Sa curb lang ang pickup and drop-off.

I plan to go to Niagara from NYC this Nov-Dec.  Do I need to apply na ba my visa here sa Pinas or pwede sa US na to get a transit visa?

My husband and I are traveling to Toronto on OCt 9 with 2 hours layover in Amsterdam. We are only staying inside the airport. Do we need to secure transit visa? Many Thanks.

Thank you mama squeak for the reply. In a couple of weeks we will be in Toronto so excited. This will be our first trip in Canada. We will go to Niagara falls as we never been there when we were in NY no time.

Hi to all, Does anyone here experience to travel from Toronto to Montreal? Please share your experience  . Did you travel by bus or by air? We are also planning to travel there from Toronto. Any input much appreciated. Thanks.

^my cousins do. By bus, Greyhound or Megabus. $23 one-way.

^^we did long drive to Montreal. Mga 6 hrs more or less may kasama ng stop overs. Hindi pa namin natry mag-bus mas gusto ni hubby mag long drive.

We are already set for our trip to Toronto- Montreal-Quebec-Niagara-Toronto all by bus. All our accommodations booked with airbnb a bit cheaper than hotel. So Toronto here we come in few more days. Our flight is this coming Sunday.

Hi Shadow Angel, sorry for the late respond. after we came back from vacation the following day we started to our work so got no time to update here. We came back Oct 31. We stared to get back to work Nov.1. We were in Quebec on Oct 13-17. All in all 21 days in Canada. I'm beginning to like Canada especially Toronto. Seems life is cool, accessible in public transportation. I like Quebec too the old city actually all of our 4 days mostly in old Quebec.

I went to Canada for one month last summer and i think i'm in love with Canada!

Nagpunta ako sa Ottawa for 2 weeks at nabisita ko ang Parliament,(parang mga building sa Harry Potter) National Gallery art museum, Canadian history museum, Omega Park (safari)

Tapos 2 weeks sa Montreal. Ang cute ng mga bahay na may stairs sa harap. Nagpunta ako sa Mont-Royal, St. joseph's oratory, Old Montreal, plus a day trip to Old Quebec. Ang ganda pala dun! Parang nasa Europe!

Ngayon, balik na ako sa Pilipinas pero obsessed na ako! Lagi akong nanonood ng TV5 Monde para manood ng mga Quebec tv shows and movies! Yung nga lang, dapat may subtitles.

Kaya nga nagtataka ako, may kilala ako na may kamag-anak sa Canada. Boring daw dun.
 Sabi ko, baka depende sa kung saan ka sa Canada. Siguro kasi nasa suburbs na walang nightlife?
Kasi yung pinuntahan ko, sobrang vibrant at parang ang daming pwedeng gawin.
Although summer yun. Anong ginagawa nyo dyan pag winter?

my sister says its also boring in Canada - although she 's been to Mt Tremblant couple of time to snowboard. can't blame her, misan I find that true also.

Kung wala ka sa city boring talaga. Pero kung nasa City ka ma eenjoy mo ang Canada. Maraming activities pag winter search mo Quebec City winter may video dun kung saan dapat magpunta para maenjoy ang winter. Sa old downtown may hotel na gawa sa ice ang ganda. May winter carnaval. Igloo adventure at dog sleigh bukod pa sa padulasan sa malawak na yelo. Skating, skii, ice climbing, magfishing sa yelo nakakatuwang mangisda sa yelo at iba-ibang festival. During Xmas season may festival lagi sa downtown. Start ng November.Ang dami kaya pwede gawin kung nasa bahay ka lang at hindi mo explore ang paligid mo maboboring ka talaga. Kasi puro yelo tapos feelibg mo ang lamig pero pag nasa activities ka na di mo na feel ang lamig.Oo nga pala un Saskatchewan un daw pinaka boring na lugar dito sa Canada kasi plain lang talaga. Walang mga festival or activities.  Para sa akin hindi ako naboring dito sa Canada hindi pa ako nahomesick dito.

^As boring as rural Canada is, mas gusto ko tumira dun. Tahimik, simple at malayo sa ka-busyhan ng city. I would love to live in a farm   where I can raise some animals at magtanim ng vegetable and flower garden sa likod bahay...LOL! I have been here since 2003 at never ko naramdaman ma-homesick. I live in the city though, pero para kasi din kasing probinsya ang dating. Ang tahimik sa kapaligiran.
