(Hi mama_squeak-- if you'd rather merge this with the other Canada, thread, it's fine. That one kasi is about visas so I thought about creating a new thread that's strictly about travel to Canada.)

We're heading to Toronto next week. Niagara will be our base but we'd like to do a day tour of Toronto (maybe do the Haunted Walk tour? Sounds fun.) Thing is, we'd really rather not rent a car. I can't find day tours from Niagara to Toronto that'll include RT shuttle service or bus. Mukhang we'll have to take the GO train/bus that will take close to 3 hours.     Are there any other options?

Sayang! Yep natuloy kami. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go to Toronto. No time. I was really surprised that there was so much to do around the falls. Even Niagara-on-the-lake, hindi na namin nasingit.

I loved Canada! Next time, I want to go to Banff. ☺️

hi sis mooncake, I've been there to Banff  years ago as part of a Canadian Rockies tour.  Yung Banff Springs Hotel looked like a gold jewel in the midst of trees, ang ganda talaga!

^yes but it was eons ago(fam tour).  the itin had banff, jasper and lake louise.  first and only time standing on an iceberg.

hi guys! anybody from vancouver? im going there on may and i dont know what kind of clothes to pack! will it be too warm to wear boots? ive only been there summer and fall eh. thanks in advance

Temperature in Vancouver do not go above 20 Celsius, I believe. I think okay ang boots but make sure it is waterproof. Maulan ang Spring.

I've been to Banff 2 years ago! Maganda, sarap bumalik. We did a day trip to Jasper too, but I didn't like it.

Niagara is beautiful, malapit sa mga outlet stores too, and if you are in the area, try Great wolf lodge, it was still cold when we were there and my kids enjoyed the indoor resort.

Yes, further North of Canada you can view Aurora but still depends on the time of the year. During summer kasi, skies are not dark enough. Sunset at the north can be around 11 pm and sunrise is 3 am. Short lang ang time to view it. Checking forecasts might help too.

Hi Lunaris, i almost went on a northern lights tour din. I think whitehorse and yellowknife are the most ideal places to see them. Pero yun nga, depende pa din kasi. Churchill din daw is good and the advantage there is you can also see the polar bears. Tipong, come for the polar bears but hopefully, you can see the lights. Mahirap to do a tour based on northern lights alone, which is why i cancelled mine. Yellowknife is your best bet but not much to see or do. So medyo sayang if di mo nakita yung lights. Thats just my opinion though.

thank you sa mga feedbacks about northern lights mga sis. I've researched na din, mas okay yung sa Churchill since may polar bears and may option din to see beluga whales. Yun nga lang masyado pang maaga to see northern lights and minsan hindi makikita ang mga ito ng sabay.

^Yes sis, Beluga whales come in the summer and Polar Bears and the Northern Lights are best viewed during the winter. Sabi nila, visit during Fall like October kasi you have the CHANCE to see all.

i saw a faint show of the northern lights last mid-october in white horse, yukon. malakas ang aurora activity according sa forecast kaso cloudy and medyo nagsnow kaya out our 3 nights, 1 night lang talaga yung maganda and we only saw 1 color which is green. swertihan talaga kasi kahit may aurora activity kapag hindi nag cooperate weather, wala ka talaga makikita. kailangan clear skies talaga.  we got a groupon in northern tales travel services. personally, i think better if you do it december to february. parang mas malakas yung chance na malakas ang aurora activity and clear yung skies. and book at least 3 nights for viewing. but as ive said, swertihan talaga. even the agency wont make promises. unpredictable rin kasi weather kahit may forecast. i have a friend who just booked one night for viewing and saw 5 colors!!! red daw yung pinakarare lumabas. sobrang swerte. he went there mid december. another thing to do in white horse is their wildlife zoo, puro winter animals nandun. ang ganda and interesting ng mga animals.
