Mommies!  :)

Anong ginagawa niyo para ganahan ang mga bata sa pag-kain? Please share para magka-ideas ang ibang mommies.  :D

Sinusubukan ko maging creative sa ulam. Example mahilig sa fried chicken ang daughter ko. I search for recipes sa net ng iba ibang recipe for fried chicken, like yung ala-KFC, or ginagawa ko home-made chicken nuggets. Tapos minsan hindi naman kanin ang serve ko with the chicken, minsan mashed potato or spaghetti.

Naku wala akong tyaga sa ganyan. The most i did was make smiley faces sa pancakes (using syrup and butter), or nakamold yung rice to heart shape then nakaayos arrangement ng food.
Wala lang, ang sa akin kasi, why make too much effort, that is food. They should eat it. But thats just me.
I have a friend todo effort gumawa ng bento for her kids' baon....minions, hello kitty, etc...hehe cute...very time consuming nga lang.

Id like to add pala, since my kids are now older, i noticed mealtime becomes more exciting to them when i let them help. Like, my kids 8 & 5 can make pancakes na. I let the older one cook. She can cook simple breakfast na. The younger one helps set the table. Ayun. Pero pag walang pasok lang yan nangyayari.

Kapag lulutuin ko yung favorite nila, sinasabi ko sa kanila bago sila umalis for school. Para at least, excited silang umuwi kasi alam nilang favorite nila yung niluto ko.

Kelangan talaga early on pa lang, the kids are trained to eat veggies more than sweets. Para when they reach 4-7 years old (usually eto yung mapli kumain ang kids), they're used to eating veggies na. Snacks should be sliced carrots and cucumber, or fruits, instead of serving them chips or ice cream. Pag mahirap naman pakainin like my niece, we noticed she likes noodles out of the very few food she likes to eat. We analyzed why and realized she enjoys using the chopsticks kasi sa restos. So what we did is buy her her own children's chopsticks to use at home para mag enjoy sya to eat her food. Colorful serving of food also helps to attract kids into eating.
