By the way just sharing, yesterday there was a private event hosted by Tiffany Rustans. They wanted to showcase some of their rings and you can try them on. Some had price tags. There was a 2.91 carat ring with baguettes on the setting with a price tag of P10M. There were also some others with smaller center stones but in huge halo settings priced at P4.55M and P5.2M. Is it just me or parang mahal talaga Tiffany for the specs? Or baka naman super flawless the color, clarity, etc. that the carat seems small for the price?

^my husband really wants to buy me tiffany ering. Pero namahalan talaga sya. Bakit daw ganon price haha! What he did pinagawa nya yung style ng ering na gusto nya sa tiffany (i think it was Grace) although di pa din biro presyo ng pagawa nya. He surprised me nalang ng tiffany necklace sa wedding day. Di daw nya talaga kaya price ng ering ng tiffany haha!

^I would honestly rather have a beautiful, non-Tiffany ring if I can afford better specs for the same amount, rather than spending on a brand name. Sa dami narin kasi ng gumagaya sa settings nya ngayon, hindi naman na unique yung six-prong setting, or even the Novo or Lucida. No one can tell na overpriced Tiffany pala nasa finger mo. It's more of the specs of the stone padin. Though i have to admit, my fascination with e-rings did start with Tiffany.

I dont think ill ever buy a branded ring like Tiffany. You are paying for the brand more than anything. Let's not forget that De Beers has a monopoly on diamonds and that essentially all diamonds come from the same source. The GIA rating is the one the really officially assesses the quality and value of the diamond.

So given the choice where to spend, Id rather buy a loose stone with GIA certificate with the specs I want and have it set somewhere else. Rather than buy a super overpriced branded ring.

Also the resale value of those branded rings dont matter so much either. My mom has an original Tiffany ring... emerald cut over 3 carats with half moon side stones. It was sold to her at a very good price by a friend who needed cash and the papers were all intact that its really a tiffany ring. But when my mom asked before how much it would be to sell it... wala... it will just be priced based on the quality/value of the diamond.Bale wala na its a store bought Tiffany ring.

Lastly...ang sarap lang talaga to invest in diamonds hehe to this day nagsisisi my mom for selling some pieces before to my tita. Back 30 years ago a 5 carat, round cut, old cut was only about 500k!!! Hahaha
Now grabe na yung value ng 5 carats!!!

^Rare na nga ata nagbibigay ng more than 3 carats ngayon esp here in the PH...mahal na kasi parang bahay na. Haha. The bigger ones 2 carats or more usually heirloom kasi di naman bibili yung guy ng mahal unless he was filthy rich and a million or so doesnt matter to him! But recently.. swerte si Cristalle Belo and Julianne Hough.

^my husband told me that too. Hindi naman malalaman na tiffany yung ring. Kaya naman daw gayahin nung pinagawan nya ng ring makakapili pa sya ng magandang diamond.

I can't agree more with you girls re: Tiffany rings. Wehn we were trying on their wedding rings, my fiance and I noticed that the designs aren't spectacular nor are they very unique. The 'best' thing going for them may be the quality of the stones but amazing diamonds can also be found in jewelry expos.

To Chili1113's point too, no one's going to care whether it's Tiffany gold vs Ongpin gold or Tiffany stone vs Chopard stone during the appraisal. At the end of the day the resale value of your engagement/wedding ring would be based on the market value of your diamond and the metal around it (though the latter can be neglible; rings don't use as much metal as other pieces of jewelry).

^^I have the same sentiments as you ladies. Although I can't deny that there's just something about seeing and receiving that little blue box, at the end of day the brand doesn't really matter. A ring is a ring no matter where you buy it. I would rather get higher specs in a non-Tiffany ring than a Tiffany for the same price any day.

Actually, una kami nagtingin tingin ni hubby ng wedding ring sa fair tapos sa mga malls pero nung pagsukat ni hubby sa milgrain ng Tiffany, iba ang sparkle ng mata nya. Nakita ko talaga yung kilig nya sa singsing eh. Mas shiny and ganda. Saka since civil wedding lang kami, okay lang splurge sa halo e-ring ko na worth 1m (color F, etc..) & our Tiffany platinum bands worth 180k (more or less).

Pero yung e-rings nila masyado ng mahal! Haha

annamarie88: wow!! F color is super white. Colorless to the naked eye! Yung akin is only H-I color and it looks white na, but when put beside a really white stone thats where youll see the diff talaga of a D-E-F color!! SUper ganda talaga. hehe send your rings! Its nakaka kilig haha! Personally Ive never posted my rings on my personal FB or IG account haha because Im not the type hehe. But gosh, kaka kilig to see it on ringblings IG hehe and I like that it's anonymous.

finally got our wedding bands from orogem! super kilig! im so happy with the outcome. <3 its a battle to refuse the urge of trying it on everyday. lol ito pala ang mahirap when you get the rings early. anyway, super satisfied with orogem, good quality yung stones used and pulido yung setting. dati i didn't understand when people say this, but i do now after seeing my ring. pantay pantay talaga. can't wait for my wedding day so i can start wearing it na!

Chili, buti si hubby ko wants talaga colorless. I love how it shines & sparkle lalo pag maliwanag. Pag suot ko sa sobrang white, I would kid him lang na parang pwet ng baso! Hahaha

Ill send na pero wala pala ako pic na magkasama wedding band & ering. (cant pic them together now coz chubby fingers pa lol)

I agree kilig nga pag napost nila, im sure madami nagsesend sa kanila.. Ang ganda naman kasi ng set nyo, ig worthy!

bonzaigirl: Thank you!! =) =) I had to sacrifice getting some of my dream suppliers esp for photo and video, because I didnt want H2B's expenses to sky rocket. But I am so gald we chose to prioritize the wedding rings.

bzbee: I am so gald you like your rings! My brother and his fiance also ordered their rings from them and teyre happy too. You're right... pangtay na pantay the way Orogem make the rings. I had my engagement ring re-set by Orogem but with the exact same setting style as the old one. But wow, the carftsmanship was a far cry from the old one, na parang di pantay the way they set the side stones.

^congrats bzbee, happy for you! I am glad they are so far consistent with the four (or five?) of us who've been recent customers. Sobrang sulit talaga nila! Not the cheapest rings I've been quoted pero definitely the most worth it. And true, ako parang every few days I wanna try it on again, both rings sabay haha!

Finally bought our wedding rings last weekend! One item off our list! Hubby's ring is a 22k yellow gold plain wedding band and mine is 18k yellow gold half eternity ring. At may bonus pa na bagong engagement ring 18k yellow gold hearts & arrows center diamond from hubby para daw bumagay sa new wedding ring namin.
