we'll be looking for wedding rings at the malls this week. im so excited! thank you to all our sissies here who shared their suppliers. im leaning towards a half eternity ring.

question to those who got rings with diamonds aren't you worried na mahuhulog or kakalas yung mga bato pag tumagal? hesitant kasi si h2b sa ganitong ring dahil baka magkawalaan daw yung bato and hassle to replace them everytime. lalo na laging suot ang wedding rings.

Given a good setting, craftsmanship, and hard material (14k or 18k) gold, hindi dapat mag worry sa mga bato.

What diamonds size are planning for your ring?

im not sure. i was thinking i'd just ask the jeweler about the size appropriate for the thickness of the band that i want. gusto ko kasi manipis lang because i have very small and thin hands. lol what size usually ba ginagamit for eternity rings?

bzbee, I also got a half-eternity band with 11 5-pointers to protect the stones, go for the channel setting and because I have small and thin fingers, I asked for the edges of the channel to be reaaaally thin. Can PM you a photo of my ring if you want a reference!

@sis bzbee, tama si  sis j. Adore given the correct setting your diamonds won't fall.  Try on some wedding rings as well from your jeweller before having it custom made. My heart was set on half eternity rings. But when we were checking rings, I found that it didn't go well with my engagement ring, nor did it looked well on my hand. I have short and stubby hands hehe, and my E-ring is just a simple solitaire with an average stone. So we settled on 2  5-stone wedding rings with either a prong setting or pave' (can't determine) setting that sandwiches my E-ring. hehe.

^I agree, with a good jeweller and quality craftsmanship the diamonds shouldn't fall even if they're moving. Channel setting is a good option since it kinda traps the stones in. Mine is the one with claws on the very surface of the band (not sure what it's called); there are 4 claws for each of the 11 diamonds but very very fine ones so dapat ingat padin not to bang the ring on corners. Madaming other options, like channel-set, bead-set, bezel, even. Don't let the fear of losing the stones keep you from enjoying them! hehe worst case, mura lang naman to replace the stones if they are small stones typically used in wedding bands. Hope this helps

^ just check with your jeweller; they should be able to recommend the most appropriate settings given the size of the stones. They may also provide additional assurances: our jeweller told me they will replace any lost stone free of charge in the first year

thanks girls for all the responses! Im more confident now to choose the half eternity ring i know nothing about jewelries talaga kaya i want to be careful in choosing. i dont even know what my e-ring is called and i keep forgetting the specs of the diamond lol. i love it though and i wouldn't want to change anything about it. <3

we already went kanina to a couple of stores sa megamall and I tried on different half eternity rings with channel setting. this is commonly the one paired with the plain white gold band that h2b wanted. stone sizes for my ring ranges from .01 to .022 carat each and just enough # of stones to cover the part of my finger that's showing. prices for the pair ranges from 40k to 70k. in case a stone is lost, replacement costs around 500-2k each depending on specs.

we also went to orogem in podium and this is where i got the 'this is it!' feeling. its still half eternity but with prong setting (not sure if its the right term) and has 7 stones with .35 tcw. OMG i almost cried when i tried it on! didn't expect to have this feeling with wedding rings even after trying on so many others. it looked great in my hand with or without the ering. price is still within budget and the people there are so nice too! we didn't buy it yet bec we still want to checkout other options. but im pretty sure babalikan namin yun. so happy to have found THE one right away. big thanks to our sissies here who recommended this store!

^Yeay, dumadami na Orogem brides Happy for you bzbee! Hehe i got my half-eternity band there as well. Parang nagulat ako how the most important ring of my life is that cheap lang doon hahaha. But I got my this is it feeling there, too. Their diamonds are also very clean and the craftsmanship is good. I can show you a pic of our finished pair, kitang kita yung symmetry ng setting. AND, you should ask Chili1113 for a pic of her finished pair. Because that it a feast for the eyes hahaha i think 2.5 TCW sya.

^OK talaga Orogem so far ha. I asked 6 different Jewelers for quotations for my wedding ring. The best price was Orogem and AMI jewelry. Then there were 2 including Matus who quoted me unbelievably DOUBLE the price.

Even my brother and future SIL liked the craftsmanship and so they also just ordered their wedding rings from there. Super goood service too!! I brought back my wedding ring since I dropped it and really scratched it, and they buffed, repolished and replated it without charging me at all.

Sparklingjewel is right the stones they provided for my ring were even better than expected. I only asked for VS but they provided VVS, and I checked it with their magnifying glass and it was really clean.

still drooling over your ring sis Chili1113! wow upgraded pa pala your stones! it really shows that they dont want to compromise the quality even if you requested for VS only. so nice talaga the people there! very honest, ang gaan kausap and they really know what they're talking about. they also offered to clean my ering for free kahit d pa kami bumibili sa kanila. my ering looked so shiny and new after! first time ko kasi palinis after 9 months. lol

i also noticed that orogem had these tools to check the specs of rings and stones when we ask them, other jewelers we've visited kasi only relies on what's in the tag. pag hindi na nakalagay sa tag, hindi na nila alam and they won't even put any effort in finding out. turn-off lang.

Thanks bzbee!! =) Super nice talaga the people there.  Hahha were going back there either today or tom for H2B to check out wedding rings since he hasn't ordered his. OK rin that store since they don't just do wedding rings. They do other more pieces of jewelry. I noticed those stores that sell almost purely wedding bands tend to even be more expensive and have super generic styles. Enjoy ring shopping!!

Hahah. Anyway yes mabait sila, my nosy fiance wanted to watch the dipping and polishing process and they let us. Also mga more or less 2 weeks lang to create and claim our rings.

You can also check out Luvi jewelry, who honestly makes me drool whenever they post something on ig, sobrang bongga haha. Pero di kasi nila ako nireply eh. hehe but i have several friends who all got their e-rings/ wedding bands there so alam ko ok. I was seriously planning to meet them din, nainip lang ako and they never replied. Pero do check out their ig, i swear mahirap iignore!

^^ Chilli1113 that's true! i noticed also mas expensive pala ang quote samin ng Matus and Golden Hills, this is compared to "bridal fair rates" pa ha. duda talaga ko that they really give huge discounts sa bridal fair, parang tinataasan lang nila yung original price.

How much magpa-reset/resize ng rings, Chili? Pwede din ba manood na lang while they are servicing it? I am scared madamage yung diamond ko haha

I am seriously considering na iparesize na my e-ring only altho hindi na rin kasya my wedding ring coz it is platinum from Tiffany! Huhu I still have these fat fingers even after 2 months post partum. E-ring size 4.25. Gosh ayaw pumasok kahit half.

^Yes sis!! The re-sized the engagement ring of my brother's fiance. At first sabi 1k. But when we got there 550 php nalang and they cleaned it pa. And they're honest. You can make bantay while they fix your ring. Although me nahiya naman ako to inside the work area. But the GF of my brother literally sat beside the jeweler inside the work area and that was OK lang with them!

Re your new ring size hehe! May I ask how long since you had you baby? The reason why I am asking is because it took some time before my fingers shrank back after I had my son. Although it never reverted to my original pre-preggo size. But remained a bit bigger.

BTW they do work with platinum.  But I dunno how long it will take for them to resize that since platinum is a very hard metal. For gold though it only take 1 hour and you can wait in the store. The price might be different too for platinum, Im not too sure.

if the craftmanship is really good, the diamonds will not fall naman.  ask your jeweller din if your rings have warranty.  ours kase unlimited lifetime cleaning.  They can clean it anytime free of charge, kahit everyday pa daw
The diamonds naman have 1 or 3 years warranty naman.. They'd replace it for free in case it falls provided it's the ring's quality issue. But if out of warranty na, they can replace it for $100 per 0.01 carat..
