@myrc, I agree, trench is not applicable for winter.  Uniqlo has a lot of down jackets, make sure to use thermals din.  Try to pass by Fashion Hall ng Megamall, tabi tabi naman ang stores with good winter jackets.

Hi, just got back 2 weeks ago from Kyoto, Osaka and Kyoto. Mid November kami nandun and super lamig na in Tokyo. 10 deg at disneyland umuulan pa. Mura lang uniqlo dun for winter dressup but you can check in Megamall ganda ng winter clothes  style dun.

I must've been sticking out like a sore thumb in Tokyo. I was there again Nov25-27. Rainy in the whole of Kawasaki (where my hotel was) plus in the entire Tokyo area. Everyone was wearing winter clothing while I could still roam around the city in my long-sleeved CDG pullover and Zara quilted vest. Autumn wear for me. Pwede pa. LOL. I wore my usual knitted beret to protect my ears from the cold pero that was it. I'm soon glad that on the way from Haneda to kawasaki, I spied a Genki Sushi outlet near our hotel. I was planning on visiting one in Shibuya. Glad there was one closer to our place. I invited the flight crew to have dinner there and aliw sila in ordering the food using the tablets.

My husband and I visited the Skytree the ff day and boy, was it super foggy. No nice pictures there tuloy except for the ones taken by the skytree souvenir photo team. Happy pa in ako, I was able to cross it out on my Japan Towers stamp book.

Went to Shibuya just to let my hubby experience crossing the scramble then went back to Kawasaki for some Christmas shopping. Traded my long UGGs for a good pair of knee-high leather boots. I can stay all day in Yodobashi Camera for gadgets and toys! Haha.

Unfortunately, it became sunny the day we were to leave. Grrrr. I did some last-minute shopping at the mall beside our hotel so I ended up having to buy another suitcase to make them all fit. I also had to take my own cab instead of travelling with the flight crew since my stuff wouldn't fit into the car anymore. LOL

On to my next adventure. Happy trip everyone!

Guys help. Can you recommend affordable hotels na 1.5k-2.5k lang ang rates per night that will accept 6 people in a room. Yung clean sana, may wifi and malapit lang sa Narita Airport. Thank yiu!!!

Where can i buy royce choco in tokyo? Way cheaper ba?

we bought royce in narita airport (terminal 2). mas mura dun sa store after na ng immigration, nasa 700 yen lang yung mga nama chocolates  another store dun sa airport malapit sa mga kainan sells royce nama for 756 yen naman.

@bellerina: sis is this in pesos or yen? if in yen wala kang pagasa 6 pa kasi kayo. and why malapit sa narita airport? wifi is not a usual service in Japan.

^^ sis, around Narita lang ba kayo mag-iikot? Di kayo magto-Tokyo? Kasi if sa Narita kayo magbi-base then commute to Tokyo everyday, e parang hassle and sayang sa travel time. IMO lang..

Do note also that most hotel rooms in Japan are tiny, most won't have space for an extra bed. Unless you stay in five-star hotels, where the rooms are "normal" in size. I doubt if you can fit 6pax + luggage in one room. 2 rooms siguro, baka kaya pa, though super siksik din malamang yun..

^oo nga sis. Ang liliit nga ng rooms mag 2 rooms na nga lang kami siguro and near disneyland siguro kunin ko. I want a hotel kasi na near disneyland, subways and shopping districts. Thank you so much sis for helping me!! Recommend po kayo ng hotel and kung saan mura magshopping.

^sis narita or near disneyland is not that convenient since it's CHiba not Tokyo.

try looking for a hotel with a connection to tokyo statio para convenient or around yamanote line.

We booked an apartment for a week while we were in Tokyo last year. But not via airbnb. I forgot na the name (Tokyo 21 yata yun), basta it's a local real estate company. However, when my friends checked this year, mukhang wala na daw sila properties na available for weekly rentals. Naging two or three weeks na yata minimum.

Just got back from Tokyo! Super sarap dun! ang lamig lalo na if may wind. As in 4 layers of clothing kami when we went to Mt. fuji and our last day touring the city. Super ginaw sa Disney sea. Di ko inexpect kaya naka-thermal, fleece top and fleece jacket lang ako. Nung gabi naka-ilang coffee kami pampainit. Haha! Yesterday morning we saw 1 degree C yung temp when we left.

Mura h&m dun. Dami ko na-shop. Foodtrip the best din. Eat soft serve kahit malamig! Hahaha!

I suggest take the Hakone and Mt. Fuji tour! Masaya and one of the highlights of our trip.

Nag-snow pa sa city nung Monday night. Nakakatuwa!

^sis I'm not from Osaka but searching on google, just go north. Niigata and Nagano siguro. It will take few hours to get there even with a Bullet Train siguro. Last winter I went to Nagano for snowboarding it's a 5 hour bus trip from Tokyo.
