Hello dearests! Na paparanoid na ko even though sa June2015 pa naman trip namin aa Japan. Checked out yung Chiba ken isumi shi iwafune na tinitirhan ng tita ko via internet map kaso nahilo ako with the japanese characters. So ito kasi mga concerns ko.
1. We will be staying sa Chiba ken isumi shi iwafune, may mga shops ba dun na malapit like 100 yen shops? Heard it's province-like daw eh.
2. We will go to Tokyo disneyland. What's the nearest shopping district there? Baka kasi wala sa Chiba na shopping-an. And how many mins/hrs ang pag travel from disneyland to the shopping place?
3. Maganda ba quality ng clothes dun like forever 21, h&m, etc?

Thank you guys! Nag rready lang ako para di ako maloko ng dad ko haha. Ayaw nya kasing nagsshopping ako, lalo daw siyang tumatanda. Lol

Better apply for a visa ng sometime February this  year, since 3 months lang validity niya and April ang flight niyo. I suggest applying at Friendship Tours, sa third floor ng Dusit Hotel in Makati. Dun ako nagapply. I got lucky and got approved.

we will be in tokyo early feb next year with our lo who will be 14month old by then. plan ko sana to visit disney sea nalang instead of disneyland. kaya lang as i read, winter ng feb so may tendency talaga na maging super cold sa disney sea since surrounded by water pa. will it be tolerable kaya for our lo? or pass nalang muna kami next time nalang? TIA!

@nageinna, IMO, pass na muna for the disney experience.  It might be too cold for your lo. We were in SoKor March this year and tail-end winter na but it's still super cold for us, I have with me our 5 y/o then.  I saw a lot of parents bringing in their children (less than 2 y/o) in strollers. Pero their strollers have rain cover/weather shield. If you can find something similar here, then you can probably tag your lo.

Check also the website as I am having second thoughts in going to disney (January trip) since there are rides that are closed due to scheduled maintenance from Jan-Mar.

Ang bilis ma-fullybooked ng mga hotels na mura sa booking.com. November 2015 pa kami but then almost all of the hotel recommendations here sold out na. I booked 3 hotels sa booking.com, magfiinalize kami early next year. Panic mode ako sa pagreserve ng hotels. Booked APA Hotel Ningyocho-eki Kita JPY53,100 with breakfast (asakusa area), BEST WESTERN Shinjuku ASTINA Hotel Tokyo JPY79,100 with breakfast (shinjuku area) and Hotel Grand Arc Hanzomon JPY48,750 without breakfast (shinjuku area). Saan mas okay mga sis?

sis blackgreen i read before nung nagreresearch ako for our tokyo trip na medyo red kight district ang asakusa, and most of the hotels dont have a non smoking room. Kaya di kami dun nagbook, kase busy daw pag gabi. Unless yun ang peg nyo hehe. We stayed sa richmon hotel in shinjuku, if i remember right nasa 30k yen yun room namin for 2 for 3 nights with buffet breakfast.

^ay talaga sis? may nabasa ako sa pagback read ko parang sabi tahimik sa asakusa.  Yun rates pala na nasabi ko good for 5 nights. Nagkakalinaw na itinerary namin. Haha.. Sa lahat ng nabook ko bet ko yun best western pero almost 30k hotel pa lang. Kung may mas mura sana mas okay. Wala na daw available sa richmonde hotel. Bakit ganun mga hotels dun fully booked agad?

^hmm kami september nagbook sa richmond tas october travel namin. Try mo sila contact directly, hindi sa booking sites. Generally mahal talaga mga hotels sa tokyo sis. Tas an liliit haha. 30k yen yung samen 3 nights lang, so nasa 4-5k pesos per night yung room.

Sisses ano mas bet Hakone or Kamakura? Hakone - nature, Kamakura - cultural. Mas bet ko sana yun nature pero patang gusto ko traditional japanese culture. Di ako makapagdecide.

^ We took the Hakone-Mt. Fuji-Lakes tour and we really enjoyed.  The views are spectacular.  Highlight yung Hakone Rope Way, a tram ride to the peak of a mountain.

I stayed in Asakusa sa Agora Place Asakusa - it's a short walk from the Asakusa temple and the Kappabashi kitchen town. Tahimik yung area and sobrang dami ng dining options. Nagastos ko sa Agora Place Asakusa for my 5-day solo stay is less than 12k considering na napakalapit ng hotel ko sa subway station.

May mga izakaya near the area but I only saw a few girly bars. Kung red light district na vibe ang tinatanong niyo, sa Kabukicho sa Shinjuku 'yun.

I can vouch that it's safe and relaxing to stay in Asakusa.

Personally, OK ang Asakusa area sa'ken kasi relaxed vibe and medyo toned down ang city feel.
