Reposting my question: Has anyone ever tried Restaurant 634 at the Tokyo Skytree? Any feedback, is it worth the price?

I'm travelling again to Tokyo on the 3rd week of Nov., this time with the hubby, and would like to try out a romantic escapade, since my Osaka trip a couple of weeks ago and Tokyo trip last August was all for our kids.

Or if you have any suggestions, it'll be very appreciated.

I'm thinking of taking him to the robot restaurant in Shinjuku, but it looks kinda loud and corny, IMO and of course, nowhere near romantic haha.

Yung day 2 half day lang kayo sa disney sea? Malaki ang disney sea hindi kaya ng half day lang....

Nagstay ako sa Asakusa area, at Agora Place Asakusa - maganda since malinis, competitive ang price and near sa Tawaramachi Subway Station at sa Asakusa temple, napakaraming kainan na cheap - ramen and sushi houses pati mga Foreign restaurants too.

I like the place since malayo sa city proper ng Tokyo. Less bustle and relaxing.

yan din naisip ko, sayang ang ticket kung di susulitin ang Disney Sea.... hindi rin ako mahilig sumakay sa mga rides pero pagdating sa Disney Sea sinakyan ko talaga lahat LOL, nag iisa lang ang disney sea sa buong mundo and who knows kung kelan ulit ako makabalik ng Japan so tinodo ko na. Nag enjoy naman ako at dahil sa mga rides ang dami kong kwento pag uwi namin, memorable experience talaga and truly one of a kind... Kakaibang bonding experience na din namin mag asawa, kahit 1 month na simula nung nakabalik kami pag napagkukwentuhan namin yung mga rides tawa kami ng tawa. Kaya sis engroselle sakay ka na sa mga rides sa una lang nakakatakot, pero grabeng adrenaline rush pagkatapos, ma re-realize mo na okay pala yung mga rides 

Sakay ka sa Journey to the Center of the Earth and Tower of Terror... the best!

.... kami budget namin per day for 2 adults 1 child is 10,000 Yen pero sobra sobra na yan... sa Disney Sea mahal talaga ang food mga 1500 yen pataas, so alot mga 6,000 yen per person pag dito kayo kakain maghapon.

Sa labas naman once lang ata kami nakakita ng makakainan na less than 1,000 yen, sa sukiya lang...pero usually mga 1300 yen pataas. So just in case alot mga 5000 yen per person per day. Sobra yan kung makakakita kayo nung parang may vending machine sa labas na kainan.

Can you guys also share some bad experiences and places that are considered tourist traps?

There's this one lady that tried to sell me a holographic postcard worth 2,000yen while I was in Ginza. Unfortunately for her, she didn't get my buy-in. =P

Have you tried checking the promos of Keio Plaza?  For example, we availed the stay 3 nights, get 1 night free (if you pay via Mastercard). 

The rooms at Keio Plaza are spacious although the interior design needs updating. We had a nice view of the Tokyo skyline and Tokyo Metropolitan Building pa. We were so comfy kasi ang luwag ng room compared to our room at our Kyoto Hotel.  Konti lang price difference sa 2 hotels though mas modern kasi ang boutique hotel we stayed in at Kyoto.

yung Day 3 ko, medyo madami nga. pero hoping na maikot lahat. kasi maaga naman sa fish market, tama?
target ko sa Tamachi station kumuha ng matutulugan...
yung Ueno park, i read na may access sya to Tokyo University. if kaya ng time, sasaglit kami. napanud kasi ni hubby yung Ms. Ripley. haha!

regarding osaka naman, 1 hour away sya from airport, tama? we'll stay kasi on a different hotel na in osaka (Day 4). overnight na tulugan lang talaga.
evening flight balak namin pabalik ng Manila, para day tour lang ng downtown Osaka, then fly back to Manila na sa gabi.

^there's a lot of walking sa tokyo. one place might be near but yung lakad from one place to antoher, dun ka maopapagod sis.

Honestly, Hachiko is overrated. If gusto mo magpa-picture ok lang then alis na kayo. I also agree with other sisses here to spend the whole day in DisneySea coz its soooo big! Odaiba should be on a diff day kasi malaki rin sya although I didnt really enjoy Odaiba except for the giant Gundam monument hehe. I want to try the onsen on our next trip next year.

Japan is best enjoyed on a relaxed itinerary kasi anglalayo ng sights! Masakit sa paa grabe! I actually enjoyed Kyoto and Osaka more because mas madali mag ikot dun.

noted sis, re sa lakaran. yung IT namin kasi namin, draft lang. if di na kaya, scratch off na. haha!
hachiko, pic lang talaga tapos alis na. iconic kasi, yun lang. 

we'll spend a whole day na siguro sa Disney Sea. not sure din if fan ng gundam si hubby. jic lang. hehe

lakaran nga siguro kami mapapasubo. sa HK tsaka SG, di namin kinaya. paspasan lang talaga sa sites. haha!

^the train station in japan is like 10x bigger than in HK and SG especially Shinjuku. Mamali ka ng exit anglayo ng ikot nyo. Dito ako sumuko on our first day coz it was our first time in Tokyo.

After that, we got the hang of the train station na. We were very careful where to exit. Sa dami ng exits nya, parang on our fifth day ko nakita yung same exit on our first day! Ganun sya kalaki!

Harajuku mejo mahirap maghanap ng cosplayers. I thin you're better off going to Akihabara for the anime and maid cafe stuff =)

Ano kaya mas malapit sa lahat dito sa mga hotel na ito: Keio Plaza Hotel, Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku, Sheraton Grande Tokyo Hotel and Hilton Tokyo Bay Hotel?

Ang 1st two sa shinjuku/shibuya area then ang last two sa Disney Resort. I am waiting pa for their reply if they have discount for 7 days na stay.  But ok lang ba dito? Anybody stayed here na ba? TIA

as for the trains, di ba iba-iba pong lines? may universal card po ba sila that honors all lines ng trains pati buses?

accurate din po ba yung fares na lumalabas sa Google maps?

I think that's OK na if you start in Tsukiji really early.

The trains have diff companies and iba iba yung fares. No such thing as universal card. Yan hassle sa Tokyo. We have to buy our train ticket everytime.

how early should we be po sa Tsukiji? we won't be watching the auction naman. i read na by reservation pa sya. we just want to try the local foods there. authentic & fresh sushi.

what do we do po sa mga extra na load sa cards?
narerefund po ba yun sa airport?
if so, honored po ba to refund all kinds of cards in all airports?

If you will eat in Tsukiji, yes 5-6am is ok. If you will eat at that famous sushi resto, line takes up to 2hours.

What card? We never used any card. We bought train tickets everytime we ride the train. Maybe other sisses can help you with that.
