What's your child's school BAG? Please share

Hi mga mommies, dilemma ko kasi to ngayon, yung panganay ko 9 years old eh grade 3, so nasa 2nd floor na yung room nila sa school.

Problem, yung unang nabili naming bag sa kanya na may wheels, eh nabibigatan daw siyang iakyat sa stairs, so nagpabili sa akin kahapon ng backpack, problem ko naman, naaawa naman ako, sa bigat nung dala, nasa likod niya, kapapayat pa naman. 

Kasi ang books niya ay 10, then 8 ang notebooks, may mga papers pa, folders etc.

Yung ibang books iniiwan sa school, kung ano lang may assignment yun lang inuuwi, problem ko, kapag exam week, iuuwi niya yun lahat, tapos nasa likod niya ang bigat...


Pa share naman kung ano ang style ninyo sa mga kids ninyo, and how do you manage this dilemma?

^ If I were in your shoes, I'd buy two copies of the books para kahit hindi maiuwi ng anak ko, mayroon kami sa house.

Dinidistribute ko ang weight ng mga dala-dala ng anak ko para d sya gaanong hirap. May backpack sya na pretty kasi pwede sya pumili ng isa, this year napili nya from Beatrix NY. Nagustuhan ko kasi magaan, anak ko e type kasi cute. Change of clothes, art and writing materials at grooming kit laman nito.

Isang envelope bag na mumurahin pero matibay every 2 yrs lang ako bumibili kasi d agad nasisira. Dito nakalagay folders, ibang books na kailangan iuwi at notebooks nya.

Isang maliit na bag para sa food at drinks nya.

Pag may extra pa na dapat dalhin, binabalot ko tapos sa backpack ko nilalagay.

Hindi naman sya nahihirapan na ganito ulit yun mga bags na dala nya. Last year sinubukan na namin na lahat nasa backpack except food. Ok nga kasi isa lang ang bitbit pero laging masakit balikat at likod ng anak ko. Mas gusto nya yun nakahiwalay ibang gamit para d sya masyado mabigatan.

Wala na yata tayong magagawa napakadami ng dala ng mga istudyante sa ngayon

@sis Marose, bukod sa dagdag cost ang bumili ng two sets of books (another 4k plus yun), problem ko siyempre sa book sasagutan ang assignments, exercises, so kung two sets yun, baka magkalituhan..

I like that, sa ngayon kasi backpack and lunch box lang dala niya, maybe I should buy her the envelope bag, and a tote bag, na magkasama na dapat yung food niya and yung water noh?

mabigat din kasi ang food container niya, since yung tiger lunch box thermal ang gamit niya.

My son is in grade 1 now and they are not allowed to use stroller bags.

We got him the single shot northface bag. Medyo maliit siya for a school bag pero it fits his small frame at alam namin hindi siya mabibigatan kahit puno. Ang kasya lang sa bag ay 6 books, toilet kit, pencil case and extra shirt and small towel. And it has a pocket mesh for small water bottle. Sabi ni hubby bumili na daw kami ng matibay kahit medyo mahal para matagal gamitin.

We also got him an envelope bag (adventurer yung brand) at dun nakalagay 12 notebooks niya.
And since pinapaiwan ang mga books sa school, yung notebooks na ang laman ng bag niya ngayon. Yung envelope bag naiwan na din sa school for future use.

Then he has a thermal insulated bag, big enough to carry his snack and lunch. And during P.E. days, may dala pa siyang small water jug kasi he wants his water cold.

So far, hindi naman siya nagrereklamo sa dami or bigat ng things niya.

In case masira na naman, may alam ba kayo mga sis, kung saan pa makakabili ng ganyang horizontal backpack?

Ganyan ang need ng anak ko eh.

My preschooler has a purple and pink Crocs backpack and a ladybug Skiphop lunch bag.

For those whose schools allow students to bring stroller bags, I recommend Hawk bags.  Sturdy talaga.  I'm glad I got my children a Hawk stroller bag instead of the school's trolley bag (na may logo ng school).  Yung trolley bag na mabibili sa school, nagkandasira na sa ibang classmates ng kids ko pero ang Hawk namin, okay na okay pa rin.     I have a friend nga na ginamit ang Hawk for her 2 children for 8 straight years.

My kids have Skiphop bags as their school bags.
My eldest uses the puppy trolley and lunch bag, he has the puppy back pack, too, whereas my little girl has the bee backpack and lunch bag.
As much as I love Skiphop, I can't help but be disappointed sa zippers nila. Ang bilis masira and matanggal. The kids have 3 bags na sira ang zipper and the material peels off.

^True with the zippers. I noticed that with their backpacks. Si Zoe naka-2 Skiphop (zebra and ladybug) backpacks and lageng nasisira yung zipper. The weird thing is that the lunchbag is ok naman. So far 3 years na yung ladybug lunchie nya.

We have 2 skiphop backpacks din, dog is 4 yrs old - wala naman prob sa zip, un kinakabitan ng zip na bones yung nalusaw;) nilagyan ko lang both ng keychain, I sometimes use it parin sa small trips. Then we got the Lion one na ok na un material.
We bought hawk din trolley for this year, not the box type but the backpack type 2 in 1 na naitatago yun sabitan sa likod so di gano bulky, good thing sa sch sa first floor lang upto grade 1 and may elevator naman for higher years.
Some students I see their yayas, drivers assist them sa bags or you may ask c manong guard and give something nalang hehe

My son's trolley bag w/c he used last year is a Hawk brand. Matibay, to think na habit nilang inuupuan yung bag. They are actually the supplier of my son's school kaya kahit sa school ko siya bilhan ng bag, I wouldn't mind.

my son has 3 skiphop backpacks and 2 character trolley bags..his favorite is the thomas and friends trolley bag that his uncle gave as pasalubong from hongkong..so far, ok pa din naman all the bags, wala pang sira, that's why di muna kami bumili ng bago for this school year..i wanna try the hawk bag too coz of the positive feedbacks, siguro pag grade 1 na sya

Hawk trolley bag. Sa dami ng gamit ng kinder namin, eto ang highly recommended ng ibang mga parents from his school kasi matibay daw. Sana nga tumagal kasi mahalya mendez sya.

Kinder 1 pa lang ang son ko, pero parang nabibigatan siya sa McQueen na back pack niya. All of his classmates parang naka trolley, so nung nag punta kami sa National Bookstore, sabi niya gusto niya ang may wheels na McQueen. Hindi ko alam kung naingget lang sa classmate pero dahil naawa ako sa bigat ng dala niya pala, ibinili ko na lang din. Ayun, enjoy na enjoy naman siya at excited pumasok sa school with his new bag. Nakikipag-race pa siya every uwian dun sa new friend niya.

Both kids have bags with wheels. Luckily yung elementary department ng school nila is on the first floor lahat so hindi hassle pagdala ng bag with wheels.

hindi ba sayang naman yung pera mo kung ganun?

why not scan or take pictures of the pages of the books? kahit atleast 25 pages per day or kung saan na yung lesson nila ..

^ I prioritize convenience over expense.  It's not really wasteful to keep two copies (at least of textbooks) because you can 1) let a younger child use it (even if for reference lang) or 2) donate it.  In any case, books sold in the school of my kids are considerably cheaper than in other schools. 

Scanning books for home use is a good idea.  However, I don't allow my kids to use gadgets during school days.
