We will going to Hong Kong this coming October 23, ask ko sana kung possible na ba yung commute papunta ng The Peak? And Saan yung marerefer nyong place to eat,
yung malapit sa TST na mura and masarap

Same question din, where to eat in HK? Where's the best place to eat peking duck but very affordable? Hubby is looking for restos that serve exotic food. Will be staying in TST area. How much din pala palitan ng dollars to HK? I already have 2000 HK dollars pocket money but still have 250 US for exchange.

hi pls advice naman po if ano ang pinaka ok na hotel.. since di naman po mag sstaty ng matagal sa hotel ano po sa tingin nyo ang mas ok in terms of price/ location and environment? 4 adults po ang 2 kids (6 and 9yrs old). estimated date nov 27-30. if may mas ok pa na mas mura pls advice na din po..

We were there last Oct 13-17..hubby, 4yrsold son and 2 yrold daughter.
1st day Disney Hollywood..enjoy mga kids and we stayed there the whole day para charge up sila for disneyland next day. We arrived around 1030 Crk-Hkg..i asked for early checkin..3pm kasi Checkin talaga.,the first receptionist gave me 2 pm..around 12 nagask ako sa iba, binigay room ng 1230.. mahal foods sa disney resort..thank God at may baon ako adobo for kids! hehe

2nd day, iniwan muna luggage sa concierge then out kami ng 1pm..nagrequest for late checkout pero mga 12nn nagout na kami. Disneyland whole day! Since hubby and I were there 4 years ago, alam na namin mga di dapat palagpasin like Lion King, Golden Mickey, etc..ayun..napanood naman lahat ng shows since di kami mahilig sa rides...enjoy din mga kids..may Paint the nighht para that I enjoyed so much! First time to see toy story land, ginagawa pa kasi noon nung pumunta kami. Waited until fireworks! Saya! Then kuha luggage sa hotel, lipat na sa TSt.. We stayed at hotel Benito.

3rd day: i got free tour from asiatravel since we will stay ng 3 nights benito. I booked benito and disney hollywood cia asiatravel. Cheapest I got. We went to aberdeen, may jewellery store and the peak. The peak lang naman talaga gusto namin mapuntahan sa offer nila, nag tram going downl love the weather! Di masyado mainit, not too cold..by 3pm, hinatid na kami sa hotel..rest until 5pm for kids..then lakad to Avenue of stars. Sakto 8pm, symphony of lights! Love it! Lakad again, thank you stroller, then from wedge boots..flats crocs muna ako. Lakad again to silvercord, dinner sa ippudo.

4th day: naglunch sa Din Tai Fung..silvercord mall again..then nag toysRus..taxi going to Ladies Market. Pabalik ng Tst naglakad lang kami..very fun but tiring! Palitan sa stroller mga kids. Stop sa burger king, tapos lakad again..dinner at yoshinoya and may pinipilahan na streetfood for waffle and dumplings,m mga 16hkd..nakipila na rin..sarap naman!

5th day: out kami hotel ng 6am..flight is 9am back to hkg..

Hotel Benito is ok..small room lang pero ku g tulugan lang ok na cya for its place and malinis naman.

Ideal yung date na ito, wala masyado long lines sa Disneyland..nakapagpapicture sa mga characters mga pang lima or 10lang sa pila..everythings awesome sabi nga ng son ko! Kakamiss!

^we'll be there november 18-21. worried ako anong pwedeng isuot. paano ang lamig sis? parang tagaytay lang ba? kaya naman na naka shorts and maybe light knitted cardigans?

Sis dala ka ng jacket tapos extra shirt or long sleeves for layering in case it gets really cold, pabago pabago kasi ang weather may times na mainit then biglang bababa ang temperature.... Pero kung november hindi pa yan malamig na malamig.

Para don sa isang sis na nagtatanong kung anong best hotel among she mentioned, i think yung Golden Crown because:

1. it is budget friendly
2. Centrally located
3. They have rooms with double decks for group

Regarding duck na mura... Sa Cafe de Coral or Fairwood mura ang roast duck around HKD 35-45 yung set with rice.

^Sis, kapag January, kamusta naman ang weather? I read kasi "winter" na yon diyan and ang peg eh winter clothes talaga halos?

EDIT: Mga sis, how much ba sa GC per night (yung quadruple sharing)? Wala kasing rates sa website, gusto ko malaman muna if within budget bago ako mag-inquire mismo sa kanila. Hehe)?

@prettybarbie - thanks po for the input kaya lang emailed them kenny replied kaya lang wala napo available na quadruple na room available. that's a steal na sana since convenient nga on that area. thanks anyways sis.

btw, i thought 6 lang kami with kids naging 10 na kmi. hehe may humabol pa..

anyone tried to rent an apartment? any suggestions? mas mura ba pag apartment or mas ok parin hotel iba-ibang rooms nalang kmi?

Hi sis, mas better kung ang ipapalit mu dun USD to HKD, yun kasi ginawa namin nung pumunta kami last october 8. Yung pinaka mataas na palitan na nakuha namin 1USD = 7.7HKD, sa western union kami nagpapalit. Pede ka pala mag haggle sa conversion hehe, pag mas madami ka ipapalit mas mahal nila bibilhin.

We came from Macau-HK-Macau last week Oct 11-17. We stayed at Golden Crown which I think has the best location. Room namin was $520 per night. 4 adults and 1 3 year old. Room was okay, malinis, clean CR, spacious na rin compared sa ibang guesthouses. Tamang tama for tulugan lang. Pagbaba mo MTR agad, may bonjeur, mini grocery and mga restos. Kaunting lakad mga malls na around TST area.

Sa restos, cheap food but masarap sa Cafe de Coral. We ate sa Tsui Wah in TST big servings good for two and affordable. We also ate in a Cantonese restaurant near Golden Crown good dumplings and affordable rin. There are a lot of choices if pag nakita namin maraming kumakain pumapasok kami. So far lahat ng nakainan namin masarap and affordable naman. To give you an idea $50-60 per person will do per meal if hindi naman kayo masyado malakas kumain and water lang orderin niyo. Medyo mahal na pag may drinks it is around $15-25.

I had Php30k changed in Sanry's Glorietta. Exchange rate was Php 5.85 to 1 HKD. Kulang pa yun so when we were in HK nagpalit kami ng pera sa Chunking Mansion they had the best rate compared sa mga shops in Mirador Mansion. Lakad lakad lang kayo and tingin sa mga boards nila. Magkakatabi lang naman sila. Exchange rate in Chunking Mansion was the same as Sanry's.

Nung pumunta kami the peak coming from Star Ferry last Oct 13 walang bus papuntang Peak Tram because the roads were closed due to the protest. No choice but nagtaxi kami around $44 since mas malayong route inikutan ng driver.

Check niyo yung weather before going as everyday ako ngcheck. Nagdala ako light sweaters pero never namin nagamit kasi the weather was cool but not cold. Hindi na rin masyado mainit.

ako lamigin, so suot ko longsleeves pero manipis lang tela. nagcoat ako ng evening pero light lang din material and panloob is light too...para kung mainitan, pwede alisin then naka leggings lang.. may days na naka shorts lang ako pero may dala pa rin jacket. yung son ko, mainitin so sa day time naka sando pero always may dala ako extra jacket for him pero yung girl ko, leggings and longsleeves basta light material ok na lalo na sa gabi sa may harbour medyo malamig.

For peking duck in TST, we went to Spring Deer (Mody Road, short walk lang papasok from Nathan Road). Sarap ng skin ng duck nila, mataba din so ok sa wrap, ok din papakin. I forgot kung 2-way or 3-way kami nun..

Try nyo din yung apple dessert nila, forgot the name, basta sliced apple, niluto sa sugar then binabad sa ice water para tumigas yung sugar coating.

^ Ganyan ginawa ko sis. Nung kinulang pinapalit ko sa Sanry's nagwithdraw ako sa bpi account ko thru hsbc ATM. Minimal lang naman charges. 1,000 hkd is around 6,000 php including charges na yan. Need lang ipa-activate ang ATM for international access sa any BPI branch before leaving the country.

anyone tried yiu fai guest house? feedback pls.. same lang kaya sila ng itsura ng golden crown? nung nag backread ako same building lang sila pero not sure if ok din sila.. they offered me quadruple room. asked for possible pictures kanina pero di pa ng reply. hehe

lets say the hotel is only 10 mins away from the airport and your flight is 11:25am is it ok to leave the hotel at 10am? nakapag online check in na...or too tight?
