Mga sis, magdadala ako ng disposable spoon and fork.  Hindi naman sya magiging problema sa check-in? Naninigurado lang. Most of the restaurants daw walang spoon and fork eh. Baka makapag kamay ng de oras.

^yes sis ganyan din ako, laging may dala kasi nga ang hirap kumain halos lahat ng resto chopstick lang. nanghingi ako dati, binigay na spoon yong pang-soup. hehe!

hi mga sis! sharing my 5D/4N stay in HK. actually, our hostel was an epic fail talaga. we stayed at USA hostel. we booked directly from their website. Nagpa reserve kami ng 2 rooms. It has a confirmation letter and na charge na din sa CC ko. Mga almost Php500 pesos lang naman for the two rooms. pagdating namin sa USA hostel, ang sabi nung receptionist is hindi daw nag go through yung reservation kaya na cancelled na daw. sabi ko, pano mangyayari yun eh na charge na sa CC ko. ini-insist nya na wala daw talaga kahit na may confirmation letter na ako. it was around 10pm na nung nagchecheck in kami kasi late afternoon yung  flight namin (na bale wala din yung initial deposit ko na 500 pesos).

Pero sabi nya, good thing daw meron pa silang available rooms na pwede kaming i-accomodate. kaya nag agree na kami. kaya lang hindi daw sa mirador mansion, kundi sa chungking mansion. sa 17th floor, which is nung papunta na kami dun, medyo nakakatakot yung place. lalo na yung from 16th floor. kasi manual na lakad na to 17th floor. sobrang kalat at magulo at madilim. gusto sana namin lumipat ng ibang hostel after that night pero nakapag bayad na kami and non refundable daw if ever.

and nung nag check in kami, aside sa room payment, pinag deposit din kami ng 4,000 pesos for any damages daw pero refundable naman upon check out. since ang flight namin nung july 25 is 8am, we need to check out at around 5am and hindi pa open yung reception area nila. 9am daw kasi opening. kaya the night before our flight, nagpunta na kami sa reception area nila sa mirador to claim our deposit. sabi nung guy na naka incharge, para daw mabalik yung 4k pesos namin, need daw ng credit card as replacement deposit in case daw na mawala namin yung key card overnight. sabi namin walang kaming CC (kahit na meron) kasi nakakatakot. baka i-charge nila kahit na wala naman damages sa room. hanggang sa napilit namin na ibigay na yung 4k pesos namin then we guaranteed them na iiwan namin sa room yung key cards.

to make it short, please don't stay in this hostel. i really don't recommend it. it's all about money and not the customers. they don't care about the security ng mga customers nila.

Pinagiisipan ko kung sa Cosmic or sa Golden Crown ako magbobook ng hostel. Baka may mga inputs kayo. TIA!

^those were my choices too. But golden crown was my first choice. But I didnt set my expectation that high kasi lagi ko nababasa sa mga forums madali ma fully booked sila. Anyway last Saturday I sent an email inquiring on both hostels. Golden Crown replied first na meron available. I immediately booked and place my reservation fee which is one night 680 hkd for the quadruple room. The next day nagreply si cosmic mas mahal ang downpayment nila 820 hkd for their 5 person ròom. Looking at pictures and reviews mas mataas rating ng golden crown. By the way travel dates namin oct 12-17 pa.

^First choice ko din Golden Crown. Choice of room ko sa Cosmic is 3 Guest Ensuit (380) which has 1 double bed + 1 single bed. And for Golden Crown, Renovated Couple (420) which has 1 double bed only. So, parang mas okay yung sa Cosmic kasi may 2 beds na and mas mababa pa price. Nagdadalawang isip lang ako sa Cosmic because of the negative reviews I had read.

Already booked at Golden Crown. 2 months to go na lang trip na namin. First time namin ng friend ko sa HK

Here's our itinerary:

DAY 1 (Monday)
- ETA HK airport 6pm, buy Octopus card and tickets at CTS
- Bus to Golden Crown guesthouse
- Dinner and sight seeing at Victoria Harbour

DAY 2 (Tuesday)
- Avenue of Stars, Clock Tower
- Disneyland

DAY 3 (Wednesday)
- Museum of History
- Nan Lian Garden/ Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple
- Sky 100 (with exhibit)
- House of Wax/The Peak until dinner

DAY 4 (Thursday)
- Ngong Ping Village/Giant Buddha
- City Gate outlets in Tung Chung
- Ladies Market and Stanley Market in Mongkok
- Jade Market at Yau Ma Tei exit C sa may Kansu St. and Battery St.
- Temple Street Night Market (optional)
- Symphony of Lights, Aqua Luna, Victoria Harbour cruise

DAY 5 (Friday)
- Check out at guesthouse; Ferry to Macau, whole day Macau tour, Flight at Macau airport at 10pm

Feasible kaya yung Day 3? Optional pa yung Sky 100 kung maisingit namin ang Macau Tower sa Macau tour. thanks sa sasagot

whats the best way going to avenue of stars pag galing ng ocean park mga sis.?

^you can take bus 629 from ocean park to admiralty station then take mtr from admiralty to tsim sha tsui station then walk to avenue of stars. You can also ride the star ferry from hong kong side to kowloon side then walk to avenue of stars.

^thanks sis princess lorraine for the info. if by ferry sis…sa may wan chai yong ferry station tama ba.? from ocean park to ferry station sis anong bus # dapat sakyan namin.?

^sorry sis i can't remember na eh once lang kasi kami nag ferry. The rest puro mtr na kami lagi pag nasa hk kami mas convenient kasi.

^more or less 12 mins, lapit lang ng TST to avenue of stars sis tsaka enjoy maglakad kung winter ang travel date mo...

^december travel date namin sis…o sige i will consider that route mga sisses. maganda din sanang maexperience ang mag ferry. hehe.

Mas malapit pag nag ferry ka, sakay ka sa central ferry going to tsim sha tsui then paglabas mo lakad ka lang sa kanan dirediretso ka lang makikita mo na yung avenue of stars, mga 5 mins walk siguro or less.

^how about yong from ocean park to central ferry station sis prettybarbie anong bus dapat ang sasakyan namin.?

From ocean park sakay ka ng bus 629 papuntang admiralty, from there sakay ka ng MTR going to central (1 stop lang) then exit ka sa A then lakad ka ng konti sa Man Yiu street or kung gusto mo naman from admiralty sakay kayo ng taxi to ferry pier mga 30-50hkd lang.
